Lake of Reflection

Lake of Reflection

Project Overview

Roles are closed at this time. Auditions are closed, and now being reviewed and considered for call backs and or casting. All auditions have been or are being listened to and will be responded to regardless if selected for a role. I appreciate you all for taking the time and consideration to audition!

Lake of Reflection is a visual novel/ interactive fiction hybrid that stars two un-seeming protagonists finding their way through helping and healing on the heels of tragedy and trauma.

Each character role offered is expected 10-15 lines, as well as a list of onomatopoeia which will be used for partial voicing of the game due to it's interactive fiction format.

The story takes place in a fictional setting on an island. The story is a fictional representation of Earth around the 1100s, and the "island" is a small island within what we would call the West European Isles. There is cultural lore featured from both Northern Europe and Eastern influences.

Applicants with natural Irish accents encouraged to apply for any and all roles- but this is not necessary. Auditions for Ivy's character with natural accents from African countries are also encouraged to apply. Again this is not necessary, and accents are not a defining concern in casting of these roles.

When finished, this game will be featured on https://itch.io as a free to play visual novel.

Please send your best audio files, as this is a small project and sound engineering is not studio level. Echoes, unclear bytes, noise distortion, outside noises, etc., will count against submissions.

Slating is OK and encouraged.
