INTRODUCTION
Charlie is a human-owl hybrid on the run from the government. She's been a loner for the past five years—that is until something hits her in the face while she's flying. She snaps back to see a shadow cast over her, but what's there isn't exactly a bird. It's Taylor, a hawk mix, one of her former cell mates from Maryland State Lab. He leads her to the rest of their haphazard family of Maggie, Quartz, and Shade.
Why? They want revenge on the one who started the experiments: Jurgen.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Lab Angels is an independent, art presented series to be posted on YouTube by Siv Kyne. The story is original with inspiration drawn from Maximum Ride. The characters are original and crafted by Siv Kyne specifically for Lab Angels. Each stylistic frame will be drawn by hand by Siv Kyne. Individual episodes will be short (<10 min.)
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect consistent and transparent communication from Siv through Discord (Siv Kyne#1000.) The script for each episode will be sent directly to you. You will be given at least two months to deliver your lines unless stated otherwise. A server exists for Lab Angels fans with a private category for the voice actors. Here, they can discuss their roles, lines, and scripts. However, if they don't wish to be included in a server, they can continue to communicate with Siv privately.
Charlie talks relatively fast and has a generally high pitched voice. She's bold and, pretty often, sarcastic. Strategy and prudence are her game.
(Rolling eyes, heavily sarcastic) "Oh, no, it's fine. Just flying from a hunter."
(Angry, just learned a terrible truth) "Are you serious? You brought us all the way out here for this? ... This is who you really are?"
(Gloomy) "I'm just a first generation bird mutant. A test tube baby. At least you have a family."
Taylor is the closed off, confident leader of the Lab Angels. His voice is up to interpretation. Feel free to experiment.
(Reminiscing, endearing, telling a memory) "The first time I saw her fly... it was magical. She got let out of the lab for the first time ever. Luckily, my cell was next to the courtyard, so I got to watch."
(Enthused, explanatory; someone just asked a dumb question) "You think I brought you all the way out here for nothing? You're joining us."
(Confident, gentle; comes right after the previous line) "Introduce yourselves, yeah?"
Quartz is your edgy teen. She's always getting into trouble with her remarks. Her voice is up to interpretation. Feel free to experiment.
(Introducing herself, disinterested) "Quartz. Blue jay. Don't mess with me."
(Rudely, in response to someone saying 'don't mind her') "Mind yourself."
(Irritated after getting mocked) "Knock it off."
Shade is a relatively innocent kid full of energy. His voice is up to interpretation. Feel free to experiment.
(Shy, excited, introducing himself) "I'm Shade, and I'm a raven."
(Mischievous, grinning, playful) "Tiny bombs are actually really easy to make and hide. Who knows, you might have one planted on you now."
(Endearing, responding to 'I'm surprised') "You shouldn't be. Taylor is awesome."
