Danganronpa V3: New Light [Canon Divergence/Looking for more Artists]
Project Overview
The video shows a bit of what the format is like, so it's relatively similar to Danganronpa, but doesn't have all the fancy user interface. (Kokichi's room CG edited by me - there's no Rantaro figure, no VR headset and the white board is how it would be before chapter 4 occurred)
What actually is this?
This is a fan canon-divergance video series called "Danganronpa V3: New Light". It starts just after the third trial.
"Shortly after the trial, Kokichi sneaks off to continue his plan.
Shuichi has his talk with Kaito outside the dorms and spots the little leader sprinting across the courtyard.
The detective follows."
This is made purely for fun, as a what if scenario. SO YES THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR DANGANRONPA V3!!!
I do not intend to make any kind of monetary gain from this and I intend to credit any fanart/sprite edits/music that I use (including ones I make myself I guess :P ).
What's the current status?
The first episode is pretty much already complete, all I need is for my voice actors to do their lines :)
Main points for Artists! [IMPORTANT]
If you can kinda replicate something similar to the Danganronpa CG style or sprite style, then go ahead and audition!
I'm also completely fine with accepting help from people who can edit existing sprites, for new facial expressions and body positions.
I'm going to be helping out with all this as well, but it would be nice to have a bit of help for episode two!

There's no reason to cast them just yet because how limited their roles are. Either nonexistent (Maki, Himiko, Monokuma) or literally one line (Gonta). See the latest two updates for more info.

Casting!
I'd like to give a huge thanks to everyone who auditioned! It's not always easy to choose, but I'm confident in who I did choose. Everyone else who auditioned was great as well, and I appreciate the effort put into trying out for this! In regards to Gonta, I may just ask someone in the current cast to do him for now, as it is just one line in the first episode/part. When episode two development is around the midpoint, I'll be opening up auditions for the remaining characters (Himiko, Maki, Monokuma and also Gonta) Again, thank you so much :D -
Kokichi, again...
Someone has brought up how it was unfair that I casted Kokichi so soon. However, I'm confident in my decision. The actor chosen has displayed the qualities in voice and tone that I would want to work with. I don't want to reopen auditions for a role when I'm already sold on who's got it. That would be even more unfair. As such, I won't be reopening Kokichi. I'm sorry if anyone else was interested, but my choice has been made. Feel free to try out for anyone else, but no pressure :) Thank you for understanding. :) -

Looking for someone who can say lines expressively and in different ways, much like Kokichi's English Dub voice actor. Kokichi has many different tones to his voice at times, and it would be fantastic to hear these lines in all sorts of different cadences/tones.
Though, to clarify, you don't have to sound exactly like Kokichi's English dub voice actor, but I would like you to show as many Kokichi-like interpretations of these lines as you can.
Just remember that Kokichi can take a regular line and turn it into something that sounds scary, or something that sounds sarcastic, or even cutesy. He can also at times sound bland, so it'd be good to hear that too.

"It's rather easy to spot the other students' awful attempts at lies.
Little hints like whether or not they look me in eye, either too much or too little.
Whether they put distance between us as they speak...

Shuichi tends to stick to a less thoughtlessly expressive nature, and instead always sounds like he's completely confused by something, extremely apprehensive/concerned/exasperated or sad. It'd be good to try more out with his voice, but Shuichi is a sad emo boy and not much can change that.
Make sure to also show his more determined side. While he may be wallowing in the thought of death 75% of the time, 25% of the time he's relatively positive and calming.
Though, to clarify, you don't have to sound exactly like Shuichi's English dub voice actor, but I would like you to show as many Shuichi-like interpretations of these lines as you can.

"I guess I'm a little envious. After... After Kaede, I could barely sleep at all.
But by now, the feeling has almost settled. With each one... It gets easier.

The Luminary of the stars is big idiot space boy but I love him.
For this role, you have to get his energy. The charisma and determination he has is his strongest trait, so please try to get that right. When angry, his voice becomes sharper, louder, and is often directed at a certain supreme leader. He's driven to escape but even more so to help his 'sidekicks' and everyone else.
A real hero-type, despite his flaws :)
Though, to clarify, you don't have to sound exactly like Kaito's English dub voice actor, but I would like you to show as many Kaito-like interpretations of these lines as you can.

Miu fucking Iruma, golden brained genius, yeah yeah.
For this role, you must be able to showcase her astounding confidence and also demonstrate how easily that shit crumples like paper. Try to make your voice a little frantic in the last line, but obviously try it a few ways!! Her sultry tone is often still in the medium range, it's not really that low, but either is fine. As long as you can get that way she draws out her phrases, I'm happy. She'll have a bit of a soft spot for Keebo, as she kinda does in the games ( though it's a lot less wholesome in the games o-o yikes buddy)
Though, to clarify, you don't have to sound exactly like Miu's English dub voice actor, but I would like you to show as many Miu-like interpretations of these lines as you can.

Fiiine... For the most part, Keebo is as considerate as he can be but will not tolerate being made fun of in a legitimately mocking manner. Hence, you must be able to sound rather offended. On the other hand, in this he'll end up having more of a weak spot for Miu because I'm a filthy Kiiruma shipper and I'm not sorry (I promise it will not be unbearable random bullshit).

Think of Tsumugi as she is prior to chapter 6. She's rather meek, makes odd references (I seriously don't watch enough anime to get her to make references, but I'm doing my best), and is fervent about her passion for cosplaying. In quieter moments, she's very kind and she often worries for the others.
Though, to clarify, you don't have to sound exactly like Tsumugi's English dub voice actor, but I would like you to show as many Tsumugi-like interpretations of these lines as you can.

Gonta is often too kind for his own good. He speaks with a certain softness and uncertainty, becoming louder the more unsure he is. Most of the group see him as a major cinnamon roll and they aren't wrong to think that. It's easy to give him a more clueless tone, but I'd be interested in hearing a few different deliveries of these lines.
Remember, while Gonta may not be well educated, he can still be perceptive.

Maki tends to sound rather cold at times, but she developed a warmer attitude to those she trusts, (namely a certain idiot astronaut and an emo detective). She is often blunt and doesn't like to meander, preferring to get to the point of a conversation. This can make her seem a little inconsiderate of other's feelings at times, but she doesn't mean any harm by it. Over time, Kokichi's antics only serve to piss her off, showing off a darker angry side of her. (please attempt to show a few different emotions in the lines!! Cold, worried, angry, etc)

I may get some flag for this, but I'm gonna say it. I don't really think Himiko's character development was handled well. Thus, I'm going to tweak her a little (hopefully just a little? haha... please don't hurt me) and try put her character development on a trajectory that meshes a little better with how she was prior to trial three.
Himiko is a lazy little mage. This takes place after chapter 3's deaths, thus, Himiko is currently not exactly feeling great... But in this her way of coping will change a bit, and the way she moves forward. She feels regret for being as dismissive toward Tenko as she had been, and comes to realise how Angie was able to manipulate her (but isn't really that mad about it). Even so, she keeps up her 'I'm definitely a real mage!' thing because it's important to her.
Though, to clarify, you don't have to sound exactly like Himiko's English dub voice actor, but I would like you to show as many Himiko-like interpretations of these lines as you can.

“Angie had conflicting ideas, but she wanted the killing game to stop...
