Keeper of Pepo is a PASSION PROJECT based on the ideas and thoughts of Leon Drinkard. This series is an audio play that will be published somewhere on the internet, more than likely youtube. It may even become something more than that. All we need is YOU!

What is Keeper of Pepo?
Keeper of Pepo follows a family of the last remaining Scarecronians. Scarecronians are a race of pumpkin-headed warriors that are amongst the strongest beings in the universe. This particular family of Scarecronians has been protecting what remains of their race and the inhabitants of the planet Gourgon for decades. The series centers on Oscar Lantern -- the son of the current protector of Gourgon, Milo Lantern -- and E.A.D.I.A. -- a robot with an implanted soul built to protect Oscar when he was a baby. The series follows these two as they prepare to take up the mantle of "protector" from their father, who is wanting to retire in the coming years.
Who am I?
I'm Dott/Zorrito. I'm currently a student at AAU studying for my BFA in Visual Development. I've been an artist, voice actor, director, you name it! I've been a host and an integral part to several different projects over the years. It's currently my duty to find talented voice actors who want to take part in this fun little project.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for voice actors who are 16 and older, and who are willing to build a strong relationship with the members of their team. It is preferred that you come into this project with the intent to not only work, but have FUN! The writers and I all love to make lasting friendships with the people we work with on these projects. As such, you must be open to a lot of different types of humor. We also request that you are drama-free. Discord is required for this project as well. You must not mind working with adults, as most of the people working on this project's backend are over 18.
You MUST have a decent-quality microphone. I'm not looking for anything terribly professional, but you should at least have some idea of your microphone quality.
Oscar is the biological son of Milo and Finley Lantern. He lost his leg at the age of seven along with the ability to properly use the powers inherited from his father. However, this handicap and his father's approaching of retirement seems to have driven Oscar even further down his path to becoming a respected hero and the eventual Keeper of Pepo.
Oscar approaches everything with a sense of childlike rebellion, answering most authority figures (aside from his family) with sarcasm or a generally casual demeanor. He also inherits a carefree, wild-child side from his father.
When auditioning, please keep the following in mind:
-Character is 17 years old.

[reminiscing traumatic events] Back when I was little, I lost my leg to a night jackal. Its venom filled whatever part of my stump was still attached and crippled my contention to my flame. So... no. i can't really do the cool things my dad can do. [small pause, voice returning with slight hints of hope] But hey, maybe some day, right?
[tensions are rising between two of his friends, OSCAR intervenes to break the fight up.] Whoa, wait! Wait! Let's tear each other apart tomorrow. We've got a performance to do tonight.

Milo Lantern is the current protector of Gourgon and the designated Keeper of Pepo. He is also the father of the main character, Oscar Lantern, and the creator of the supporting lead, E.A.D.I.A. Currently, he is the highest-ranking hero at the Order. Milo spends months at a time away from his wife and child, so he has been considering retirement. However, he is trying to hold out until his son Oscar can overcome his unfortunate handicap and take over his role.
Milo is very laid-back about life and is never seen without a big smile on his face. He tends to not take any threats seriously unless they are directly impacting his family or his home planet. Most see Milo as the "invincible protector" of Gourgon, and he seems to keep this image alive, as all he has ever lost to any of his battles is a hand. He is a wild spirit, doing what he wants when he wants at seemingly no care in the world.
Things to keep in mind when auditioning for this role:
-He is canonically hundreds of years old, but his voice claim and demeanor mimic that of a man in his 20's to 30's. As such, we'd prefer a male over the age of 18 to play this role. This is simply a preference, not a requirement.

[Milo is struggling to hear what his opponent is saying, with a cocky tone] I'm sorry, what was that? I still can't hear you, mate. [tsk] They're more than likely monologuing about how they're super-duper powerful or some shit like that. Typical villain mindset.
[Milo is on the phone with his wife. Have fun with this one.] Hello, beautiful~! I'll be on my way home in an hour. I'll tell ya Fin, I can't wait to be next to a warm body in a nice cold bed. The beds at headquarters give me a killer back ache. I had to put a hole in the metal frame to feel some form of comfort. AND, nobody wanted to snuggle! Can you believe it?!

Finley is the wife of Milo Lantern and mother of Oscar Lantern. She and Milo met before the mass near-extinction of the Scarecronians. Finley used to be a strong-willed swordswoman who more often fended for herself in the harsh wilds, but she has since retired her sword to raise her son and be a supportive mother to him.
Personality-wise, Finley is very spunky and sassy. She speaks every line with a hint of playful sarcasm, only showing bend toward her child and her husband. Most in the town they live in know her as the "Untouchable Housewife," as she seems to be the only one person Milo is scared of. Despite her disposition, Finley is a caring mother and genuine person altogether, who proudly wears her personality like a flashy winter coat.
Things to know when auditioning for this character:
-Finley is the mother of Oscar, so I would prefer if a more adult person would voice her (18+). This is NOT a requirement, simply a preference.
-There are small moments of harmless flirting between her and Milo, so you must be okay with this.

[playfully] You knew what you were getting into when you took that job offer from the Order. But i'm glad to see your alright, hun. I can't wait to finally have you next to me again... At least for another six months.

E.A.D.I.A (Pronounced AY-dia) is a robot built by Milo Lantern to protect Oscar. He is affectionately referred to as Oscar's "big brother," despite E.A.D.I.A clearly not being related. He is as alive as a robot can be, with a piece of Milo's own flame and soul keeping him powered. He has a personality, and is a one-of-a-kind brother and companion. He has a pet rabbit named Gavin, plays Dungeons and Dragons with other classmates and is dating a toaster.
E.A.D.I.A is a goof at heart, but really enjoys being a fantasy nerd. He cares deeply for Oscar, though sometimes it seems he smothers him. As his sole purpose in life is to protect Oscar, the robotic part of him takes it seriously. He has a full personality, so much so that it's difficult to remember he's a robot and not some guy in a suit of armor. E.A.D.I.A is a constant receiver of prejudiced comments due to him being a robot, but he seems to power through them well enough.
Things to keep in mind when voicing this character:
-E.A.D.I.A shows emotion despite being a robot. Please don't audition with flat, emotionless lines.
-E.A.D.I.A has some colorful language at some points, so make sure you're okay with this.
-E.A.D.I.A may be involved in some suggestive themes simply due to him being a source of comic relief. As such, we'd prefer the VA for this role to be over 18.

Felix is a businessman at heart, at least that's how he likes to think of it. In reality, he is as crooked as the crocodile he appears as. Being the lower member on the upper totem pole, Felix has made it a goal of his to impress the people in charge of the organization he's a part of. Even being at the bottom of the major crime syndicate, Felix has managed to gather the city's criminals and form a city-wide mafia that produces firearms and other black-market weapons. His name is feared and respected amongst the community, and he generally presents himself as one deserving of respect. However, catch him on a bad day, and he won't appear so nice...

When auditioning for this role, please keep in mind the following things:
- Felix has a deep southern voice. You can accentuate this as any southern accent you wish (Texan, Cajun, Alabamian, etc), but his voice MUST be deep.
- Because of how deep his voice is, you must be prepared to spend a lot of time sucking on lozenges and drinking water.
- He has a greater role in the first arc, but he will be present throughout the whole series.
- Because of his role, it's preferred that voice actors auditioning for him be over the age of 18, but this is just a preference and NOT a requirement.
Hello all you loyal customers! How y'all doin today? [chuckles] Today I have for y'all a new toy I'm sure you're gonna love. This here invention will be imperative for the ongoing war for your home planets! Lemme ask ya here, Don't y'all hate it when your railgun just overheats? Or do y'all get pissed when the bolt is stopped by them infuriatin' magic shields? Well, ol' Felix has heard your cries for a better product, and I am here to deliver! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... The no recoil railgun! [Crowd ooh's, Felix pauses for this, then continues] This new and improved railgun was designed by my best engineers to solve both o' these problems! Not ONLY does this here rifle give you the power only ol' Felix can provide ya, but the bolts are given a bigger plasma charge, so they can break away at shield concentration and when firing it! And today, for ONE DAY only, y'all can get two fer the price of one! [chuckles] My generosity is yer gain!
[Angrily, in a low growly voice] You gone and done it now, boy...

Cross is Felix's second in command. She is in charge of running the operation when he is not available, which is a majority of the time. Cross also tends to any of Felix's needs personally and is considered his most trusted employee. She is quite easy to anger, but focuses quite heavily on any assignment she is tasked. However, Felix does not leave her without much protection. Wherever you see Cross, you are sure to find Felix nearby.
Cross has no set race as of this time, but she most definitely has a voice when she decides to use it. Around most people, Cross speaks little and is very curt/blunt. Her time is money and that is precious. To Felix, though, she feels most comfortable joking around and talking. Things to keep in mind when auditioning for this character:
- Cross has no current love interest and does not play a huge role in the story, however the director has stressed that she is an LGBT character. As this is the case, you must be comfortable playing an LGBT+ character.
- Cross plays a minor role in the villain arc in the story, but she is a character that will appear throughout the series alongside Felix.
- Cross has an English accent, so it is preferred you know how to do this.
- We prefer voice actors to be over the age of 18, but this is simply a preference and not a requirement.

Principal Benjamin is an oddity to both science and psychology. Once a normal household ferret, various experiments left him with the intelligence comparable to the scientists who studied him. He went on to become a legal citizen and earn his Masters degree. Today, he is the Principal at the Galaxus Academy of Defenders.
Benjamin has the wants and desires that come with any ferret, and consistently talks about things that normal ferrets would talk about if they were as intelligent as he. He also loves to provide help to his students in any way he can, but cannot focus for very long on small talk. He's fidgety and will always have at least twenty things to talk about at any given period of time. Things to know when auditioning for this character:
- This character is frequently used to add comedic value, so a sense of humor is definitely required for this.
- Be expressive, because this character is essentially an embodiment of ADHD.
- The Irish accent doesn't have to be very thick, but please try your hardest to mimic Jacksepticeye's speech patterns or the tone of his voice.
[Over loudspeaker] Good evening students! This is your Principal with a small announcement! Reminder that although this year's Graduation Ceremony is quickly approaching, that is no excuse to start doing involuntary pullups on my travel tubes. You may instead use the designated training areas located throughout the school in order to train for this event. Thank you, and have a safe evening!
[Speaking to Tyrant] Tyrant, please add a reminder to my notebook to ask the janitor for his lemon cake recipe! Those little cakes he leaves in the staff urinals are absolutely intoxicating! [Tyrant says to Ben that they are, in fact, urinal cakes, and that eating them is poisonous. Ben responds back, realizing his mistake.] Oh... They aren't actual cakes? In that case, please change that reminder. Change it to "get stomach pumped at the veterinary clinic."

Tyrant is the Assistant Principal at the Academy and one of the last remaining humans in the galaxy. He and Benjamin were experimented on in the same laboratory, though Tyrant was experimented on in an entirely different way. The trials gave him magical abilities that enabled him to communicate with Lovecraftian levels of existence and briefly control the monsters within those realms. With the monsters and Benjamin's help, he was able to escape the laboratory, gain legal protection as an endangered life form, and go to university for his own Master's degree.
Tyrant is regarded as the "lame dad" everyone loves. He cracks dad jokes all of the time and is generally seen as a pretty passive guy. He is a little stern when students are being outright innane, though, and is not afraid to tell someone if they are stupid. Some things to keep in mind when auditioning for this role:
- Tyrant cracks dad jokes... A lot... Knowing a lot of these will be beneficial.
[To Oscar, concerned but still nonchalant.] Look, Oscar, you're not going to prove you're the biggest and baddest dude here by picking fights with other students. You're not like your dad -- you can be one day, but you aren't yet. You could get seriously messed up.
[Cracking a joke] When I come in in the mornings, I always get a nice hot cup of joe. Of course, Joe isn't really a big fan of that, but... [chuckles and trails off]

Xethereal is a friend of Bowra's and E.A.D.I.A.'s D&D partner. He is a walking miracle, toting the fact that he is the half-breed son of one of the universe's most powerful dieties, Condor. While Xethereal has access to all the power in the world, he actively rejects it, claiming he wants to earn his power "the right way." He attends the Academy to experience life as an equal to others and learn what they learn.
Regarded widely as a happy-go-lucky young man, it seems there is absolutely nothing that can upset Xethereal. In truth, he is hyper-alert and anxiety-ridden but does a good job at hiding that aspect of himself. As a result, many look to him as the mediator and moral role model. Things to keep in mind when auditioning for this character:
- Xethereal is Oscar's love interest, and there will be LGBT themes explored, so you have to be open to voicing an LGBT character.
- It is preferred the voice actor for Xethereal be 18, but this is simply a preference and not a requirement.
[To Oscar, optimistic] You really shouldn't let that stop you, though. Just because you aren't like your dad doesn't mean you can't also be a great keeper one day. I mean, heck, look at me! I'm nothing like my dad. But I'm still gonna be great one day.
[Playing D&D with E.A.D.I.A.] So we're entering this cavern without rolling perception to see if there's some sort of dragon in there? Come on, guys, he pulled this stunt before when the room full of mimics attacked us, and THAT sucked balls.
