Purple Haze Feedback: A JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Audio Drama
Project Overview
A spiritual sequel to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo, Purple Haze Feedback is set six months after Giorno Giovanna's takeover of Passione. The story follows Pannacotta Fugo as he seeks redemption and wrestles with the pain of his comrades’ deaths at the hands of Diavolo.
The book and fan-translation have been readapted and minor scenes and dialogue have been added to bridge the gap between written and audio formatting.
This project will be presented in an audiodrama/visual novel format, so vocal performances will be at the forefront. Familiarity with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a plus, and I would like to cast as many fans as possible because I want this to be a community endeavor. Purple Haze Feedback depicts violence, gore, death, drug use, and self-harm. Due to some of the brutality, all applicants must be 18+! If any of these things make you uncomfortable, please avoid this call.

To ensure that both the audition and subsequent recording process goes well for everyone, I have provided guidelines below. Please read all of the following guidelines, relevant character information, and applicable supplemental materials. Auditions that ignore one or multiple points will not qualify.
1.) Use a decent-quality microphone. There should be little to no static, background noise, or distortion. Very rarely will skill make up for poor microphone quality. Do not audition without your usual equipment, when sick, etc. Your audition should showcase your voice and/or equipment at its best!
2.) You do not have to be the age/gender of the character you’re auditioning for, but your performance should be convincing. Stick to characters (comfortably) in your vocal range. You also don't have to 100% match the voice of the character you're auditioning for, but I've provived examples in the linked YouTube video to give you a jumping-off point.
3.) Your audition should either be submitted on Casting Call Club (CCC) or as a public YouTube video. If you submit on YouTube, please comment that you have auditioned on this project page or under the casting call video. Auditions will not be accepted outside of YouTube or CCC with few exceptions.
4.) When auditioning, please say each line at least 2-3 times with some variation. You are welcome to do more passes of each line. You may also change the wording of lines/adlib.
5.) You may audition for multiple characters. If you audition via CCC, please submit separately for each character unless otherwise indicated. If you upload your audition as a YouTube video, please have some sort of separation between characters. All cast members may be asked to voice various extra roles, so you may be cast for multiple characters anyway.
6.) If the character you are auditioning for has a Stand, you must audition for the Stand. In the spirit of JoJo’s, Stands should share a voice with their user (Purple Haze, Voodoo Child - which doesn't have its own role slot, All Along the Watchtower, Sex Pistols).
7.) For the purpose of receiving your scripts, you will be expected to use Discord if you are cast.
8.) This project will be a longer-term commitment for the main cast and you will need several sessions to record. If this isn’t feasible for you, please audition for a member of the supporting cast or for some extras.
9.) If you are cast, you are expected to follow the general rules outlined in the cast Discord server. Failure to act with decorum or to communicate delays in your line submissions will result in your removal from the project.

About: Fugo is a serious, intelligent older teen. While he’s cooperative among his teammates, Fugo’s anger is explosive and violent when he loses control. In PHF, he's ordered to assassinate Passione's drug team while being haunted by the deaths of his former teammates.

Additional Notes: This colony Stand is similar to Sex Pistols in that it consists of multiple individuals (playing cards). Each card can have its own distinct voice and vocals will be layered in the final production. He doesn’t speak with intense emotions.
Notes: *Giorno’s ethnicity is British-Jappanese, but spent most of his life/formative years in Napoli. Please keep this in mind if you are putting on an accent or if you have an accent.
