This audition is for a pilot episode of a Diamond is Unbreakable parody. It's going to be written in the style of a spy/investigative drama-comedy. If this pilot does well enough, I'd plan on picking this up for a total of ~5 episodes for the first season. If a full season order is picked up, there will be more characters to audition for, so please keep an eye out for more should that be the case.
As far as timeline goes, I don't expect production will start until July 2019 at the earliest. Thank you in advance for your interest in this project!

In this parody, Jotaro Kujo is an investigator for the Speedwagon Foundation sent to follow up on reports on strange happenings in Morioh. His secondary objective is to meet Josuke Higashikata, Joseph Joestar's illegitimate son, and inform him of his incoming inheritance. Much like in the source material, Jotaro becomes sort of a mentor and big brother figure to Josuke, and if this gets picked up for a season order, it will be more thoroughly explored.
Jotaro is generally stoic in nature, and is not very quick to anger. However, he's known to have a sarcastic quip every now and again.
I'm looking for someone who has a relatively lower voice, who can portray both discipline and warmth.
[Irritated, contemplative] I can’t believe this. On top of EVERYTHING else reportedly going on in this town, the old man just HAPPENED to have an illegitimate child… who just HAPPENS to live where all the crazy shit’s going down!
[Talking to Josuke about being Joseph's son.] Yes. Even without all the DNA evidence, I can tell you're his kid. Either way, when the old man dies, you get a third of his estate. He’s a super rich business man in the U.S.
[Taking a shot at Josuke's pompadour.] They haven’t been popular since 1980’s vintage culture was around. Get with the times, kid.
Koichi Hirose is a classmate of Josuke Higashikata. Koichi is intelligent and perceptive, but with the capacity to be empathetic.
I'm looking for someone who has a young, timid sounding voice with the ability to portray a hardened resolve when the going gets tough. Should this get picked up for a season order, his character will be more deeply explored.
[Self-assuring but nervous.] Ok, Koichi. You can do this. Fly under the radar for the next few years and high school will be over without incident. It worked for middle school, it’ll work here. I just hope I don’t run into any unsavory characters.
[Forgiving into surprised.] It’s ok, sir, no harm do-OH MY GOD! YOU’RE HUGE!
[Sarcastic, disbelieving.] Very funny. What are you, some kind of spy?
The unseen director of the Speedwagon Foundation (SF). Since the SF changed its focus to be more of an investigative service in this parody, I imagine this character to be stern, gruff, and has seemingly endless experience. This man is not afraid to put his foot down on an issue, even when speaking to a Stand user as powerful as Jotaro.
Looking for someone in this role to be deeper, gruff/growly in nature.
[Welcoming, serious, informing.] Thank you for coming, Jotaro. Before we begin, I must state that this assignment is TOP secret. You are not to reveal any details of the assignment to anyone that isn’t me. Understand?
[Reporting, informing.] There have been some strange happenings in the Japanese town of Morioh. Happenings that can’t be explained.
[Warning, explaining limitations of the assignment.] Be careful, Jotaro. We’ll provide support where we can, but you’ll largely be on your own.
There are 3 upperclassman that are one-off characters made to help introduce Josuke. Think typical high school jocks or bullies. They think they're at the top of the social food chain, and intend to keep that status until Josuke teaches them a lesson in humility. Up to three people will be cast for this role.
Voice-wise, do what you will with it, as long as it sounds like a natural read.
[Confident, but deluded] Don’t you dare ignore us! As the ones at the top of the high school food-chain, which will totally hold up for the rest of our lives, it is our duty to make those lower than us feel inferior and uncomfortable. Now, I’m gonna take this turtle, and give you something new to fear!
[Arrogant, insulting] Who cares?! Now, give us your lunch money, or I’ll knock that pompadour off your dome you pretentious wimp!
[In shock at sudden change in his face] Ah! My magazine model face! I’ll never get on Morioh Vogue now!
There are three high school girls who serve to introduce more of Josuke's personality to Jotaro and Koichi. Up to three people will be cast for this role.
Voice-wise, do what you will with it, as long as the read is natrual.
