Jane Snow
Project Overview
Hello! This project is hopefully going to evolve into a rough musical score and full script. The story follows the North Pole's very own narrator as she decides she feels useless, guiding her to travel to America where she meets new friends and hardships. The themes this play takes is a kind of hopeful, feel-good, slightly sad, but realistic look into the mind of someone who struggles creatively in a craft she used to love.
This project is family friendly!
While it will contain some adult themes, I plan to keep the product PG-13.
I'm not much of a musician, so creating this musical will require experience in musical-theater. It doesn't matter to me which softwares are used, only that you can provide your skill!

Word is required, I need someone who is familiar with how professional play/musical scripts are laid out. Having someone to help me out with flowing dialogue and ideas would help so much!

Jane is a lively (immortal) young adult who struggles with her writing these days. She's stressed, but actively looking for a cure. For auditions, please provide a cover of your voice on any 2 musical songs and the lines below.

1) standing up for herself, on a rant "You expect me to write pages upon pages of the same thing every Christmas, but reworded. Then give the credit to a made-up name and face of an old lady- who looks nothing like me. It's a miracle I've stayed this long! All the demands and ignoring me? It's over. I quit."
2) confused, excited "Oh my poundcake, where did you you find this? No, no it's not just a sucker. These things have carried me through thick and thin."
3) sad, shocked "She's... No she can't be. You're lying."
He doesn't have a name yet, but he's an author. He soon becomes Jane's best friend through their mutual taste for writing. He's tired and less enthusiastic, but supportive and kind. For auditions, please provide a cover of your voice on any 2 musical songs and the lines below.

1) sympathetic "That does sound rough, considering they were just using you. I know I would go mad knowing my writing was going around untethered to my name."
2) casual "You don't have to come with us, she just gets carried away sometimes."
3) amazed "I can't believe I'm not dreaming, I-I mean, the elves, the sporadically placed candy canes, we're in the freaking North Pole!"
A silly, ironically charming gym rat. His best interest is Jane's heart, but in his ongoing failure, he bcomes her friend. For auditions, please provide a cover of your voice on any 2 musical songs and the lines below.

1) mumbling then slightly fearful covered by his bravado "Ghosts aren't real, that's stupid. But even if they are, I'm not scared, I'll punch their white sheets up their noses."
2) flirty "Nice hair color, you know my mom used to dye her hair that color before she went bald. She just wears a red wig now."
3) stubborn "I don't care who she left for, just tell me where."
She may or may not have had something to do with the death of her husband, what matters is that she's a sweet old lady with no plan of slowing down. For auditions, please provide a cover of your voice on any 2 musical songs and the lines below.

1) kind, ignorance "Oh that's nice hon. I like my elves and such from fantasy books."
2) yelling, excited "We can do this forever! Staying young, that's what I'm doing!"
He's tired and wants to be retired. Never mind what happened between him and Mrs. Claus, his Christmas spirit resides in his paycheck. For auditions, please provide a cover of your voice on any 2 musical songs and the lines below.

1) amused "Oh ho ho hell no you're not. Narrator, a North Pole without you? Well, we'd all die."
2) depressed "Every year, winter never takes me. Henry always drags me back inside."
I need a few elf voices for when they make an appearance in a song or in a read through.
