Ironroth: Episode 5 (Warcraft Machinima/Animation)
Project Overview
Hello everyone!
This is a Warcraft Machinima series made in Unreal Engine I've been working on with a bunch of talented folks for over a year now. I've made story-based machinima content on youtube for a few good years now, so I'm very excited to continue this project thus far counting 3 (soon to be 4) animated episodes, and 12 audiodramas. The TLDR of the plot is an Alternate Timeline where Garrosh Hellscream is victorious in the Siege of Ogrimmar.
As an AU project, it mostly contains existing Lore Characters (which you can find further info on wikis), who may only have a few lines, so all audition lines will consist of lines they have spoken ingame, or alternatively some "fake lines", and not ones in the script (to avoid spoilers). Be mindful some characters may be reoccuring while others having a single appearance, regardless of amount of lines in this specific episode, so please keep that in mind when auditioning.
Roles may be added over the duration of this page, and visuals added for characters as their models are finalized, feel free to add notifications to this page as I'll post an update when I add additional characters.
Roles marked with "(AD)" mean they are not for Episode 5, but instead for an Audiodrama debut.

Ancient demigod protector of Ashenvale, Lord of the Forest, and patron and teacher of the druids. An imposing and powerful figure, who demands respect and will not hesitate to use force to defend the forests.

(shouting, angry) “Do you seek to ignore your duties again, Tyrande?! To neglect the threat right before you?!”
The first druid, a wise, powerful, and ancient night elf, co-leader of the night elf civilization alongside his wife, Tyrande Whisperwind. He is more calm and collected than his tempestuous wife, but nevertheless can be roused to anger, and will not hesitate to argue against his beloved, if he feels strongly about a subject.

(furious) “I will not condone this slaughter. I forbid it!”
(annoyed) “I have not forgotten, my beloved. Nor have I forgotten how the Horde aided us in defeating a greater, older threat.”
A captain of the Sentinels, an ancient night elf order of warrior women, dedicated to the protection of their lands. She is a blunt and obedient soldier, willing to follow questionable orders without hesitation.

(matter-of-factly) “Splintertree is ours, Priestess Tyrande. What shall we do with the prisoners?”
"My sisters need help rescuing the survivors!"
An old night elf veteran, who, over 10.000 years ago, led their armies in a war for the very fate of the world. After spending much of those 10.000 years in seclusion, he was forced to return to night elf society. He now serves as a military advisor, his vast experience being of great aid, but he still feels haunted by the mistakes of the past, and by his abandonment of his people.

"We cannot let the deaths of our comrades go wasted! Do not let down your guard!"
(friendly) “Likewise, Priestess, though I wish the circumstances were better… (awkwardly; the last time they met, it wasn’t a pleasant time) once again, at that. Everyone is assembled, as instructed.”
Leader of the Shen’dralar Highborne, an ancient group of night elves who, controversially, chose to continue illegally studying magic in exile. Mordent led them to rejoin mainstream night elf society. He and his people are viewed with great distrust and apprehension by the other night elves, but Mordent genuinely believes that the magics of the Shen’dralar will prove of great use to the greater night elf society, and is willing to acknowledge the past mistakes that the Highborne have made.

A shaman of the Thistlefur Furbolgs, a species of intelligent bear-men. His powers grant him a profound connection to the world, and he is eager to defend it. Given how closely tied to the land he is, he is capable of feeling its pain, or when others abuse the natural magics of the world.

A lieutenant of the Sentinels, a pupil and protege of Cordressa Briarbow. She is somewhat more emotionally-driven than her mentor, yet nevertheless is dedicated to the protection of the night elf people.

Legendary leader of the Wardens, an order of elite night elf warrior-women, charged with keeping the most dangerous prisoners among her kind locked up. She is a cold, blunt, and driven individual, who holds long grudges and has been described as “vengeance itself, bound forever to the hunt”. Nevertheless, she cares deeply about her subordinates.

Daughter of the infamous Edwin VanCleef, Vanessa has lived a life of vengeance. Formerly the leader of the Defias Brotherhood, her goals of bringing down the nobility of Stormwind have been halted thanks to the conquests of Garrosh Hellscream. Now a member of the Duskwood Resistance Cell, she works alongside those she once called her enemies in hopes of liberating the people of Stormwind from the True Horde’s occupation.

Daughter of Darius Crowley, Lorna acts as a close advisor and confidant to Tess Greymane within the Duskwood Resistance Cell. Using her experience from both the Northgate Rebellion and Gilneas Liberation Front, Lorna is a vital member of the efforts to hinder the True Horde’s presence within the Eastern Kingdoms with the hopes of someday liberating the people of Stormwind.

Once the Marshal of Westfall, Gryan has been forced into hiding alongside many others who continue to resist the True Horde. While honorbound, his loyalty to what the Kingdom of Stormwind used to be has resulted in him oftentimes clashing with his former enemy turned ally, Vanessa VanCleef.

Famed hunter and explorer, Hemet Nesingwary has hunted some of Azeroth’s mightiest beasts. Where once he hunted for the thrill of the sport, he now hunts for revenge. Having joined the Duskwood Resistance Cell, he offers his expertise as a marksman and tracker with him taking great pride in gunning down the grunts of the True Horde.

Ghost-writer and apprentice hunter to Hemet Nesingwary, Addie continues to accompany Hemet wherever he goes. This has eventually resulted in her joining the Duskwood Resistance Cell with full intentions to prove herself and be a part of liberating the Eastern Kingdoms. Offering her own skills as a marksman, Addie acts as a guardian angel for her fellow rebels with her protecting them from afar during missions.

The youngest of the Amani siblings. He is the secondary leader and advisor of the Amani Tribe. Grandson of Zul'jin. He is often trying to prove himself with his mind and ideas than his own strength. Cunning and hellbent on securing a future for the Amani and his sister.

The eldest of the Amani siblings. She is the current leader of the Amani Tribe. Grandaughter of Zul'jin. Far more the warrior of the two and more of the fighter. She is headstrong and wants what is best for her people and not to fall in the same traps as her predecessors.

An ancient and incredibly powerful Eredar warlock, second-in-command of the demonic Burning Legion. Known as "The Deceiver", he is a cunning schemer and a mighty and wise spellcaster. He is slow to anger, and takes everything under careful consideration before acting, but can be roused to great fury.

No one single person will be chosen for this role, it serves as a pool to pick from for narrators for future audiodramas.

Finding themselves surrounded by friendly faces was more than Anduin could have hoped."
": Across all of Azeroth, there was nowhere else as difficult to traverse than its mighty ocean. Spanning for countless miles, the seas of Azeroth appeared endless with vessels sailing for months without any sight of land. If the endless purgatory did not drive a person mad, it would be the violent and ferocious storms that prowled the ocean in search of vessels to ravage. Many tales tell of entire fleets being engulfed by these storms and forced into the dark depths below to join the ever expanding graveyard that formed the ocean floor."
