[SYNOPSIS]
In Gachaburg, one girl dreams of making it big in life. Her name is June Cynthia, a fifteen-year-old high school student. On the day of her fifteenth birthday, an old friend arrives back in town, but sheβs changed since their youth. Will June be able to survive high school while trying to achieve her dreams, or will her old friend be her demise?
[RULES FOR AUDITIONING]
Timing: Please submit auditions on time. The deadline is flexible since the series is starting soon.
Quality: Use decent microphones so lines are crisp and clear to hear.
Dedication: This project will be a good-sized project, meaning youβll need to be dedicated to working on the project for some time. By auditioning, youβre dedicating yourself to the project and must submit lines on time.
Communication: Please include your Discord tag. That is where the scripts can be found as well as where lines will need to be submitted. And announcements will also be sent through Discord, so please check regularly.
Acting: This is a voice-acted series, so please put emotion in your lines!
Age: Everyone needs to be over 13 years old. Discord requires its users to be over 13, and the characters are mainly teenagers to adults.
Characters: You can audition for as many characters as you like. However, only one audition per character. If you wish to redo any lines, you must do several takes in one audio file.
DESCRIPTION: June is the protagonist of the series. She loves living a modest lifestyle but often dreams of being someone in life. Sheβs seen her fair share of bullying and prefers to stay low when it comes to her being bullied.
(Bewildered) βLayla? Is that you?β
(Sorrowful) βIβm sorry. I didnβt mean to hurt you.β
(Upset) βWhy is it everything I do only leads to pain?β
DESCRIPTION: Ash is Juneβs brother and a side character that appears throughout the series. He works as a Barista at the local coffee shop. He loves his job because heβs able to get discounts on the shopβs products, but that also leads to June consistently asking for special orders. He can be quite rude, but never means what he says.
(Annoyed) βJune, how many times do I have to tell you βnoβ?β
(Bored) βTodayβs such a drag. Why canβt anything interesting happen?β
(Surprised) βWell, for once something happened in this dried-up town.β
DESCRIPTION: Rain is what you would call a βsocial outcastβ. He hates conflict and often avoids people because he views every person as drama. If he sees anything wrong happening to someone, he wonβt hesitate to help when possibleβ¦that is, if he liked to help without getting caught up in the drama.
(Irritated) βWhy canβt those stupid girls stop the drama? Like anyone truly cares if sheβs dating the boy you like.β
(Confused) βUm, what did I walk in on? Whyβs the new girl mad at June?β
(Amused) βWell. Iβll be. It shows high school can be interesting if you look in the right places.β
DESCRIPTION: Octavia was once a famous singer, but one night on stage, she decided to live an average life. She returned home to Gachaburg to live an average life but often regrets her decision, wondering if it was the right thing to leave the fame and fortune behind.
(Welcoming) βHeya! Iβm Octavia Muse, a famous singer. Well, ex-famous singer. I gave up the fame for a modest life.β
(Curious) βHm? What are these lockers used for? I didnβt have to use any on tour.β
(Down) βI wonder about my decisions nightly. Iβm just curious if leaving my fame behind was the right thing to do.β
DESCRIPTION: Luca is one of the smartest students at Gachaburg High School, however, he often doesnβt show his smart side unless heβs tricked into using his brains. He can be found taking naps often, leading to him failing tests. When heβs not sleeping, he loves to play trivia games.
(Tired) βWhenβs school over? Iβm ready to go home and sleep.β
(Unamused) βTest? Nobody said anything about a test. Wait, why do I care? They donβt matter anyways.β
(Focused) βYouβre doing that all wrong. You need to move the variable to the right side of the equation to solve for x.β
DESCRIPTION: Layla is what many would call a mamaβs girl. She acts like she owns the high school and sees June as a rival, but nobody knows why. It could be due to what happened after she moved from Gachaburgβ¦
(Furious) βYouβve got to be kidding me! First June acts like we were friends years ago. Now, THIS clown wants to cause me problems?β
(Confused) βWhat do you mean? Iβm not rude, I just have set standards, and June doesnβt fit any of them. Not anymore.β
(Sarcastic) βOh me, oh my. I hurt her highness. Allow me to practice my curtsy to please my master.β
DESCRIPTION: Vivian is a teacher at Gachaburg High, and also the mother to Layla Price. She loves teaching, but will quite never know why Layla acts like sheβs better than everyone.
(Blunt) βLayla, you do not own the school. Now you better behave or else I will pull you out of the school system and ship you off to boot camp.β
(Apologetic) βIβm sorry June. I expected her to be happy to see you. I guess I was wrong.β
(Considerate) βIf you ever need to talk to someone, you can always come to me. I just hope Layla understands what Iβm doing.β
DESCRIPTION: Persephone is June and Ashβs mother. She loves her children and fears the worst when June starts to come home from school later and later, seemingly scared for her life.
(Concerned) βAsh, do you know why your sister keeps coming home late?β
(Motherly) βJune, donβt look so gloomy. You canβt be gloomy when thereβs good food!β
(Stern) βJune, why didnβt you say anything sooner? You know both Vivian and I wouldβve made sure Layla wouldnβt hurt you. Iβm just disappointed that you kept it a secret for this long.β
