Do you ever get the feeling that your politicians are from another planet? What if they were?
Series Premise:
An animated comedy sitcom
1947 - An alien spaceship crash lands in Roswell New Mexico stranding a band of aliens on earth. Eager to return home, the aliens spend many years evading detection and slowly replacing them with their own inept interpretations.
Present day - We follow the UK's humanoid alien politicians and our main character Gaunthrax, an E.T-esqure alien, as they bounce from one mishap to another.
Our Aim:
We love animation and animating but there's no point doing it if it's not entertaining! Initially we're looking to produce an amusing 20-23 minute pilot episode which will be published on Youtube and other social media as a proof of concept both showcasing the new Blender software capabilities and hopefully drumming up enough interest to warrant an entire series.
Our Production timescales:
We're ready to get the ball moving right now; We've got the artists, the writers and the animators onboard, We've produced the lead character puppets, original music and a draft script ready for production to begin. All that's left is the slightly important voice actors...That's where you come in!
We won't fill any additional roles until at least the deadline of this project (09 October), at which point we'll share a script with you lovely people and get the first read recorded and in the can. An Animatic will then follow for timing purposes and some pick ups may be required thereafter.
Auditions:
We're realistic here; as a pilot this episode is unlikely to be the most polished animation out there however, we would appreciate a good standard of sound quality from our voice actors so a decent mic is essential. We're hoping that the Pilot will progress into a series so an interest in being involved in a longer series is preferred. If the series progresses these will become paid voice acting roles.
All voice actors will be credited in the episode credits where they feature.

Gaunthrax was as stranded on earth when his parents ship crashed in the 1950s. He's smart, considered and knows earth better than any other alien.
Lead character in the Pilot/Series burdened with the task of cleaning up others mess. He's been on earth a long time and knows what he's doing.
We've left this character sexless and open to Gaunthrax being voiced by a male or female.
This alien doesn't sound like the ones you might find on mars. He knows the language and human race well and generally delivers dialogue at pace.
The kind of voice were looking for? Give us alien but human. A character you might find in Futurama perhaps?
Reoccurring role if progressed to a series.
[Gaunthrax explains his memory cleanser to a human]
Don’t worry, I’m not gonna hurt you. I’m just gonna erase your memory and we’ll all get on with our lives. How much? Well I think this is a microwave so I’d say about 90-100% and most of your motor skills..
[resentful at being asked why the aliens haven't left]
We didn't want to be here you know!. My ancestors’ ship came down over America [Sigh] They lost everything, the ship, the communicator,
[disappointed] I’ve lived here all my life and yet everything still feels so alien.
Lucy is the first human to know of the aliens on earth. Resourceful, smart and down to earth. Works in the MOD and has had a good upbringing.
Lucy is our "everyman" character (relatable to the vast majority of watchers).

Lucy has been cornered by the aliens and is pleading not to be hurt.
(distressed) I I I, can keep a secret, you don’t have to do this! [pause]Gaunthrax is it? I I I can help?
Lucy's mind is blown after learning of the aliens
that’s wild [pause] So Boris and Dominic, are they wearing human suits or they were made in a lab or something?
[Awkward/grossed out] oh, I see. Graphic.
This character is not very loosely based on the current PM of the UK. We're not necessarily looking for impersonations, if the intonations and bumbling is on point we think it'll work great.

As Prime Ministers [sic] this is [bumbling] a..a..a..a.ah,ah,ah very difficult decision. Simply put, you mustn’t go outside...un..un..un...unless.. you need to go outside…e.e..e.. in which you can go outside. But you should not go to work un un unless you have to go work.
Yes! I think we’ve cracked it.
Yes erm, yes, Boris here, erm Boris Johnson. It’s a code mustard.
Based loosely on Dominic Cummings. We're looking for a crazed, unhinged performance. Dominic is the "brains" behind the government but he's unquestionably insane and just a little bit evil.

An "Elder" alien, dressed in the E.T "disguise" tries to pickup sexual mates in a bar.

I wouldn’t be so offended if you two didn’t keep looking at my arse. Least you could do is buy me a beer…[Gulps drink down'] So, we getting this on then?

This character needs no introduction.
We're firm believers that impersonations are 90% mannerisms 10% voice similarity.
Have fun with this one CCC, I don't think you'll need much direction.

Alexander is a British brute force detective looking into UFOs. One of a few antagonists in the Pilot, Alex drives a 1960s car and feels undeniably 1950s, hat, coat and all. He's no nonsense and you wouldn't want to cross this serious character.
We're looking for British Voice Actors Only please. This is because most of our roles have been cast to some fantastic American talent, but we feel the audience may be confused at the lack of Brits in this British cartoon..
We're happy to receive a range of voices for this character although, we feel a no nonsense gangster voice might fit well.

After getting a reading on his radiation device Alexander stops a child thinking they were the source.

This role is for a paparazzi who fumbles across our alien characters. He's confident but what he's seen has left him shaken.
