Project Overview
Hello, this is Teach!
I am the creator of the With Voices series. This is where I take a game that is unvoiced
and bring voices to them in order to make it a more enjoyable show. Among my previous works are the following
shows:
- Mogeko Castle with Voices
- Garden Gray The with Voices
- The Gray Garden with Voices
- Undertale with Voices Genocider
- Secret of Mana Theater with Voices
Next up on the docket is…Ib with Voices! A well known independent RPGMaker game
created by Kouri. This game is one of
four voted upon to give the With Voices treatment to.
IB WITH VOICES:
Once upon a time a young girl named Ib went to a museum with
her parents. There they went to the
exhibit of a renowned artist named Weiss Guertena. But Ib got separated from her parents and found
herself deep within a world where the artwork of Guertena reigns supreme. Paintings spring to life, sculptures are on the
attack and the life of a human being is tied to a rose. In Ib’s journey through the wild world of
Guertena, Ib comes across two other victims, a man named Garry and a girl named
Mary…but in order for Ib to return home, one of them must stay behind.

Synopsis: A hobo who is somewhat interested in artwork. He is the second victim of Guertena’s world of fabrication. While Ib’s rose is red, Garry’s is blue. He is also the only adult among the group. While not the manliest of men, he is protective of Ib and will step up to help her when needed. That being said, Garry does tend to frighten easily (which is why Ib is the leader) and has a unique condition known as “Pediophobia” (the fear of dolls).
Voice: Medium-highish. A bit on the timid side. I’ve heard people (vgperson included) say that his voice is “feminine” and this is one option. I’m also open to a good Shaggy voice if you can do it. But for fuck’s sake, do NOT go with the limp-wristed hairdresser for Garry, I will not take it.
Even down to these roses.
Wounds appear on my when my rose loses its petals…I thought I was a
goner there… Thank you for getting it back.…Now, first things first…We had
better find a way out. I think I’ll go
mad if I stay in this dreadful place for too long.HYEEEEK!
(pause) I…I was just a bit startled!
R-Really, that’s all it was!
Anywayyy… Let’s keep going, and watch out for such bizarre things as
that!Huh?! The people in this painting are your dad and
mom? Aha…They do resemble you a bit,
Ib…But why would such a painting be down here?.....Ah? Where are they? Hmm… Well, I can’t say that I know either. D-Don’t worry. They must be somewhere! (to himself)
I thought she was a tough kid, but this is even getting to her…
Synopsis: Mary is a shy blonde girl about Ib’s age (9). She is the third victim of Guertena’s world of fabrication. Where Ib’s rose is red and Garry’s is blue, Mary’s rose is yellow. As someone who entered this world later than the others, she is quite lost and afraid at first. But as she spends time with the group, she comes to bond with Ib. She’s still quite prickly with Garry on the other hand…
Voice: medium-high to high. Mary’s a little girl but throughout the series exhibits a pretty wide range of emotions. I’ll leave it at that.
Wooow, Ib’s rose is reeed! My rose is yellooow! I like yellow, but I also like pink! Oh, and blue!
Ib… Do you have friends? Like, how many? You play with them, right? And sometimes you argue?! And maybe, after you argue, you can come back as better friends than before…!
This is in my way… If only this thing weren’t here, we could go down there! Gotta move it now… Gotta move it now…!
Synopsis: Ib’s mom. Out of the family, she’s the one in charge. She’s got a more businesslike demeanor and she’s the one in who brought the family to the Guertena exhibit.
Voice: Medium-low to medium-high. On the serious side.
Did you remember everything, Ib? Oh! Do you have your handkerchief? You know, the one you got for your birthday? Keep it safe in your pocket, okay? Don’t lose it!
Well, we’re here. …This is your first time in an art gallery, right, Ib? We’re here today to see an exhibition of works by an artist named Guertena…And they don’t just have paintings, but also sculptures…and all kinds of other creations! I don’t doubt that even you’ll enjoy it, Ib.
Ib, if you have to use the toilet, you can just go, okay?
Synopsis: Ib’s dad. ‘Nuff said. He’s the more easygoing of the two parents and he’s around for the ride.
Voice: Medium-low to medium-high. Relaxed and friendly.
Should we get to the reception desk?
Don’t go behind there, Ib.
Ib! Did you look at that fish over there? To think there’s a fish like THAT in the depths of the sea! Scary, huh? It’s got an eerie look for sure…But doesn’t it make you a little excited too?
Synopsis: A small ant. Barely a speck. Wants to go to his home…which is inside a painting.
Voice: Small and high.
I’m an ant. I love paintings. My painting is especially cool. I’d like to see it again, but it’s kind of far away…
Oh. That’s my painting. It’s just as cool as I remember it.
What happened to my painting?
Synopsis: A playful little fellow who challenges Ib to a game.
Voice: Playful.
Play hide and seek?
Found me. You get prize.
Synopsis: A hungry mouth that lines to eat. And it eats ANYTHING.
Voice: Hungry. Gluttonous. Dangerous.
Hungry…Give food… That food… Give to me…
(Eating sounds)
This tasty…I let you pass now…Go through my mouth…

There’s an odd one out…
Synopsis: A painting of a lovely woman. She loves roses and will chase people to take their roses away from them. Because she is painted from the waist up, she cannot walk, she can only crawl. Also she cannot open doors.
Voice: Young, female.
Oh…what a lovely rose… Give it to me!
Curse you Wiess! Why didn’t you give me legs! They’d make me move so much faster! And make me more beautiful to boot!
Why is this horrid slab of wood blocking my way! Step aside and let me have that rose!
Synopsis: A little girl celebrating her birthday. Known for being quite careless.
Voice: Little girl.
That sounds like fun!

Synopsis: Carrie’s best friend. She’s the one who sets up the Gallete Des Rois!

Synopsis: A butterfly with the power of fire.
Voice: Low and mighty. Like an evil overlord.
Indeed I am not…long have I been trapped within the confines of these walls. You there, Daughter of Eve! Release me from the shackles which keep me pinned to this wall! These flames of mine cannot be contained!
