I Never Liked Jane Anyway is a one act audio play about a boy who must struggle through the suicide of his girlfriend while still conforming to his toxically masculine friend group. The pressure of this eventually leads him to do awful things.
I finished writing the whole script earlier this year, I am just finalizing it.
Auditionees must be 13+ and have a discord account (please put your handle in your audition).
I may extend the deadline if I don't get enough auditions.

A nervous, stammering boy who tries to be the best person he can be, while still fitting in with "the boys". Often moments of charismatic confidence shine through (especially around his girlfriend, Jane), but they are short lived.

Oliver's girlfriend. Confident and romantic, uses this to mask her poor mental health. As well as playing Jane, this actor must be able to double as Oliver's visions of Jane, which are emotionless and dead.

Misogynistic, cruel, and toxically masculine. One of Oliver's "best friends" who constantly peer pressures him into drinking and smoking. Occasionally drops his guard and becomes genuine, but is quick to put his shield back up.
