Hey everyone! Agent Fluffy here! I’m doing a fanfic reading of a fic called Hours Loom written by TheTimeSword. It is a whodunnit fanfic that takes place during Spike’s hatchday in Twilight Sparkle’s castle where the mane 6, Shining Armor, and the CMC are throwing a party for him. Little did they know, they are going to be trapped in the castle and there’s going to be a lot of bloodshed! This covers the prologue to chapter 6.
This is also the casting call where there is a main VA and an understudy.
By the way, this is an unpaid project.
There are some roles available but first, let’s go over the qualifications and rules before sharing what VA roles I need.

Chapter 2: September 23rd, 2024

Below are the qualifications and rules of the casting call for VAs:
Qualifications:
VAs:
1. You must be 17 years old or older to audition for this project. By submitting your audition to this project you are validating that you have met the age requirement.
2. You must have a good quality microphone. (It doesn't have to be professional studio quality.) No headset microphone auditions will be accepted.
3. I'm also looking for your ability to act as the character(s) you are auditioning for. The voice does not have to be show accurate. Your ability to act the character is most important to me.
4. I'm looking for committed, accountable and reliable VAs that will:
Review the scheduled due dates and submit your audition(s) ONLY if you can meet the scheduled due dates.
Once you have been accepted as part of the team, accountability includes:
Checking in once a week with your status on assignments.
Immediately informing me if you need help or something has happened to change your availability that would put your due dates at risk. This would enable us to work together on a resolution PRIOR to due dates.
READ THE RULES CAREFULLY BEFORE AUDITIONING!
Rules:
VAs:
1. Leave three (3) seconds of silence at the start of your audition recording BEFORE you say the audition lines of each of the character(s) you are auditioning for. This enables me to listen to your background noise and if needed to determine how much background noise I’ll need to remove during your recording.
2. You must have multiple takes in your audition so I can hear your emotional range of your voice. Three (3) takes are required. No more, no less.
3. I require you to send your audition files separately! (Meaning in one file and one character in each of your audition recordings with 3 takes intact for each line (Line 1 3 times, Line 2 3 times, and Line 3 3 times in that order AAABBBCCC format), not one file for each take separately and/or doing all the characters you are auditioning for in one file! Plus I need it to be raw audio. Meaning NO noise reduction, no vocal effects and completely unedited.
4. I require your audition file(s) to be in either wav, mp3, or m4a format for audio (mp4 or wmv for YouTube auditions).
5. MAKE SURE your microphone is NOT PEAKING in your recordings! I don’t want to have my ears hurt when I listen to your auditions!
6. Say the audition lines EXACTLY AS IT IS WRITTEN in the casting call except for emotional tones for the lines represented by (parentheses) and sound effects represented by asterisks .
For example, don’t say the word burp if the line is in between the asterisks like this:
BURP
But actually do the sound effect in the audition recording.
The parentheses are just guides for the emotion for the line. For example:
(screaming out)
7. No improvising aka improv and/or bloopers in the recording for the audition lines. You can do that if you wish IF you are CHOSEN for the role, NOT when you are auditioning for the casting call!

Process
Casting Call: Details of call are in sections noted above.
Casting Call Results: A casting call results video will be released on July 11th, 2024 (sometime before 11:59 PM EST). At the time of the results, if you are selected, I will immediately need the following from you. Either your email, Skype or Discord
Work: VAs create lines and turn in on or prior to due dates.
Staying in Contact: Weekly touch base on your status. This could be a quick chat, email and/or message.
Production: Once all lines are submitted, I will edit / produce the video.
Release: This fanfic reading will be uploaded on YouTube once it's finished.

Shining Armor is Twilight’s brother, captain of the royal guard and husband of Princess Cadance. He is kind, caring and protective. He is warm and loving towards Cadance. He can be stern at times.

(scream in anger) You! (yell in anger) I’ll KILL you! (enraged/accuse) My wife is dead because of you! (enraged) I’ve got all the proof I need, I’m finishing this right here and now!
Princess Cadance is the Princess of Love and the wife of Shining Armor. She cares a lot about her husband and is very motherly.

Rainbow Dash is a brash, confident pegasus and is part of the Wonderbolts. She is very athletic. She is the element of loyalty.
