Hoshiko Recast - Mortality Paradox
Project Overview
Mortality Paradox is a fan-fiction visual novel style audio drama inspired by Danganronpa. The project will be posted on YouTube and promoted on TikTok and Twitter.
It will feature 20 participants from 10 different countries who are recruited to participate in a competition to win 5 million dollars. They arrive at the complex to find out that the only way to win is to be the last to survive. There’s one little catch.. their life is kinked to another contestant. Who will survive this paradoxical situation?

Multiple takes of each audition is appreciated and feel free to audition for multiple roles, if you’d like to be considered for others.
Voice Actors will be credited on each video for their work as part of the cast for this project. They will be credited on CCC for their work upon completion of all recorded audio lines for the project.

The Mortality Paradox project may include various sensitive topics which may be triggering for some individuals and not be suitable for others, including, but not limited to suicide, drug addiction, sexual assault/abuse, brutality, and death/ murder. Any warnings and disclaimers made by the makers of the Danganronpa games apply to this series. Also, some roles require strong language from the VA and will be restricted to individuals who are 18+ only.

I am recasting for Hoshiko (Koko), Contestant #3

HO-shee-koh wah-tah-NAH-beh
Koko is energetic, fast talking and excitable. She is very outgoing and strongly opinionated.
She will have the widest range of emotions and is very vocal in the script.
You will immediately have voice lines to record, so please only audition if you are available right away. Thanks!
I am including the callback lines in this audition to speed up the process. Please record all of the lines given twice. Change up tone/timbre the second time. Context is given to help with understanding how the lines should be delivered. Only record the lines that are bolded. Also, please note that these lines have been fabricated for the audition and do not reflect actual events in the script.

Line 1:
Context - Hoshiko is being recruited. You are responding to the recruiter’s offer. The recruiter’s lines are given for reference. You do not need to voice the recruiter’s lines, just the character’s response to them. Thanks!
The Recruiter: [game show host vibes]> Hey you! Yes.. I’m talking to you! For months now, I have been scouting for ultimate titled individuals, such as yourself, to participate in a highly classified competition to win 5 million dollars. You have been carefully selected out of all of the candidates, and tonight, I offer this opportunity to you. Do you accept and what would you be willing to do to win?
Hoshiko: [disbelieving/excited]> 5 million dollars?! Pinch me, am I dreaming? Who would ever decline something like this?? I could do anything! There isn’t a competition that I wouldn’t at least try. This is amazing!!!
Line 2:
Context - Hoshiko has just discovered the body of another contestant. Her scream should reflect the situation. She screams and then runs out of the room, running into another contestant. While speaking her lines, she is still in the frantic state of mind, having just seen a dead body. The name of the contestant has been changed for the audition.
Hoshiko: {scream} [very energetic and erratic speaking/shrill even]> He’s not moving! His eyes are just… staring!! Oh my god, oh my God! Not him! This can’t be happening! {sobbing} Who would do such a thing?! To Paul of all people!
Line 3:
Context - Someone has killed another contestant and Hoshiko is rather pissed about the reasoning.
Hoshiko: [angry]> How could you! She was defenseless! [pause while another character is speaking] That’s your reasoning? You are a pathetic excuse of a human being.
