Hit-Girl: The Comic Dub (Episode 1 Casting)
Project Overview
In 2019, Mr EMC published the GREATEST COMIC DUB OF ALL TIME, Kick-Ass: The Comic Dub. After the major success, the raving reviews, and the repetitive requests for a continuation, he is finally giving in. This is Hit-Girl: The Comic Dub.
Hit-Girl is a spin-off of Kick-Ass, published after Kick-Ass 2. Taking place between the stories of Kick-Ass 1 and 2, it follows Hit-Girl, the most dangerous child in the world in her quest to fit in with her class mates, train Kick-Ass to be the hero he deserves to be, and protecting her new family from the assholes that want to hurt them.
This is Round 1 of 5 for casting characters in the Hit-Girl comic dub. Every month from now until February 2022, I will be posting Casting Calls for the future episodes of this series. Fair warning, the casting calls will get smaller and smaller as they go on, with the first call having the largest selection of roles as well as the most prominent characters, and future casting calls having less characters and less significant roles.
Fair warning: This comic is not for kids in the slightest. It might not even be for some adults. It is extremely gory, and very vulgar. Please only audition if you are comfortable with being in a project like this!
Requirements for Auditions and Casting
- If you are cast for a character that is featured in multiple episodes, be prepared to commit to the project! This will go into the new year as this is a 5 episode series. I don’t want to have to recast anybody midway through the production.
- I have no preference when it comes to the kinds of microphones you have, but I definitely do have a preference to good mic quality. Please have little to no background noise, reduce peaking and plosives as well.
- You are required to have Discord as that will be how I communicate with you all in order to direct and give you all your lines.
Guidelines for Auditions
- You can audition for as many characters as you like.
- If a character has a specified voice and/or accent, please do your best to replicate the voice and accent.
- Please put your discord tag in your audition description. If you are casted, I will be notifying you through there.
- You are not required to slate, and it is preferred that you do not.
- Any character marked as Extra will not be required to join the discord server, since all the lines that the character has are apart of the audition
- Please no troll auditions.
Most of all, have fun! While this is a Mark Millar comic, it is a comic nonetheless. Have fun with it!

A policeman and Mindy’s step-father. He’s a good honest man, and is very protective of Kathleen and Mindy, especially Mindy since he knows that she is Hit Girl.
Middle Low voice range for Marcus. (Heavy Preference for African American talent as Marcus is a black man)
“Have fun at school today, Mindy.”
“Helen Bukowski watches too much TV, sweetheart. Sure, there’s always some wise guys asking us to look the other way, but nothing’s any different than it was before. You know what she’s like.”
“Don’t bullshit me, Vic. We both know who pays for those fancy suits and you can tell him from me that threatening my family will not gain him influence in this department.”
Mindy McCready’s mom. Once thought dead but it is revealed at the end of Kick-Ass that she is alive and well.
Mid Range Voice, Not too high not too low
“Rise and shine, sleepyhead. Time to get up for school. The bus will be here in forty minutes and you’ve still to get showered and grab some breakfast.”
“She’s just taking an interest herself, Marcus. This is good. It means she’s finally trying to fit in.”
*Scared, tears in your eyes* “You lied to me, Marcus. You said they weren’t leaning on you, but look what just delivered. It says Mommy Bear, Daddy Bear, and Baby Bear on them…”
Brother to Johnny G, the ruthless mobster and antagonist in Kick-Ass. Ralphie lives life in prison, but still holds a lot of power after his brother died and made him the mob don.
Low Voice Range. He is intimidating, and commands a presence felt by all
“It’s possible, Nick. He’s my brother’s son and I love him very much, but Christopher is well-known retard.”
“Johnny was a decent man. Sentimental in many ways. We must let it be known to our enemies out there that I share none of those gentle attributes.”
“Fuck your respect, Vic. I’ve lost twenty million dollars in the last few weeks and have no intention of losing another cent.”
The stereotypical popular middle school girl, with some added Mark Millar grittiness to it. She is genuinely horrible, even for a middle schooler.
Mid to High range voice
“I’m being sarcastic, you dumb whore. They look like something a five-year old would wear. All that’s missing’s Dora the Explorer.”
“Oh my god. Look at all that makeup! Have they started enrolling child prostitutes at the school now?”
A superhero who took inspiration from Kick-Ass to become a hero, but got swiped up by the wrong people.
Mid-High to Mid Range for voice
*In pain and scared* “It-it’s Th-Thurman. Thurman Rice.”
“Sir, I promise you. I’ve never even met Kick-Ass…I…I…I just saw him on TV and felt inspired to do something with my life. But we are not friends. We are not in a club. We have literally never spoken…”
“I promise you. On my grandmother’s life…”
The apparent leader of a squad of goons trying to find the identities of Hit Girl and Kick-Ass.
Mid to Low range for Voice
“Okay, pick him up. Let’s give this idiot one last chance.”
“No, you listen to me, fuck-o. What’s your name? Your real name, I mean. Not this superhero bullshit.”
“I dunno. Hang around the bad areas and try to catch another one, I guess.”
Just some bum who hassles Kick-Ass for his Subway money.
Old Weary Voice
“Hey, man. You got some spare change?”
“You’re supposed to help people right? I need that money more than you do, man/ Those few bucks mean I get to eat tonight. Couldn’t you just walk home, for a change?”
Generic Mobster. He is the one who executes Silver Beetle. Shows up in future episodes
Mid to Low range for voice
“Talk!”
“Apologies.”
"Like you wouldn't believe."
"Uh...I think he's fallen asleep, Johnny."
*Stabbed sound* "Guhh!"

"I saw those superheroes on TV last night and there's no way they cold have executed thirty of Johnny's soldiers. Some of those geeks could barely climb a flight of stairs."
“I thought Chrissie was friends with this kid. Didn’t he get a name or an address we could use?”
