Hangdog
Project Overview
Hello! This is a casting call for an original project titled "Hangdog" composed of a short series of comics, animations and hopefully a short film at some point. It explores a group of teenagers finding themselves wrapped up in a number of mysterious incidents, murders, and disappearances throughout the course of the year. Following the ideas of consequentialism vs deontology.
More information to come soon, main character roles may be asked for more lines. All characters will speak English however with certain roles people who are bilingual are appreciated (this is not a requirement)
Note: Series does take some inspiration from itsfunnehs Yandere high school Minecraft roleplay but the characters are not carbon copies and the project is more so similar to a rewrite and retelling of the story seen in her series.

A Chinese Canadian teenage girl, exchange student in Maryland, U.S. Lead role in project. She has an upbeat attitude and is driven by her sense of curiosity. Her story involves coming of age while navigating the ongoing incidents that keep on transpiring in town, including the death of one of her best friends in a fire.

Latino American teenage boy, lead male role. He struggles financially and is one of the main providers in his family, which is less than stable for his mother and father both walking out at different points in his life. He has a younger sister who he tries to care for. He does his best to balance a regular life while doing shady criminal work for money.

Blasian Vietnamese Canadian teenage girl. Lead role. She's a very feminine girl, a big lover of romcoms and dreams of her own charming prince coming to her rescue. She's a little self absorbed and sassy but for the most part has a heart of gold.

Imura is a Japanese exchange student. She goes by Valerie, this girl is a bubbly social butterfly. She becomes a target to a series of unfortunate incidents and accidents that at times leave her hurt. By the end of her sophomore year she is tragically killed in a dorm fire.
