Halo Narrated Story
Project Overview
I've recently made the decision to launch a YouTube channel focused on sharing stories in an audiobook-like format. As part of this endeavor, I've already engaged the talents of a skilled voice actor to bring one of my existing stories to life. However, while that's brewing, I'm actively working on another story set within the immersive world of Halo.
While it's my first time writing within an established universe, I'm embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and eager to complete this new tale. Once finished, I'll be searching for a suitable voice actor to narrate it. To allow ample time for auditions, I've decided to open the auditions now, ensuring a respectful timeframe for talent to present their auditions.
I anticipate that the final product will have a duration of under an hour when voiced. In the interest of fairness, I'm prepared to offer an additional reimbursement of 50 cents per minute for any duration beyond the established hour. Conversely, if the project ends up being shorter, I will still provide full payment for the full hour. Payments will be made in Euros, and the exact amount in your currency can be determined by referring to the current conversion rates.
Ideally, I'm looking for a voice actor who is open to the possibility of collaborating on future expansions of the storyline. If the first part of the project is successful upon launch, I would love to continue working together in the weeks to come.
I'm filled with enthusiasm about this endeavour! Thank you for your interest, and I eagerly await the "great journey" (If you know, you know!) that lies ahead! ;)

The audiobook follows the journey of a middle-aged man, the unnamed "narrator", who starts the story as a retired UNSC veteran. He grapples with the challenges of everyday life as a civilian, teaching History, and feeling the weight of loneliness without family. When news of the death of one of his few remaining friends reaches him, he hits rock bottom, searching desperately for a glimmer of hope.
In an unexpected turn of events, he makes the audacious decision to reenlist in the Marine Corps, seeking a renewed purpose and a chance to rediscover himself. Though he is aware of the hardships that lie ahead, he bravely confronts the trials that will test his character and push the boundaries of his moral compass.
I am looking for versatile and expressive narrator who can embody different voices and accents of the characters the protagonist comes across.
Feel free to offer as many auditions as you feel necessary to display your talent. You can do one or more of the audition lines.
"The bell doesn't dismiss you, I do!" I called out assertively to the zombie-like horde of teenagers shuffling towards the exit. Their vacant stares met my gaze as I continued, my tone laced with a hint of frustration. "Remember, there will be a test on today's topic this Friday. Make sure to read up on it." The words escaped my lips, driven not only by the need for academic progress but also tinged with a touch of spite, a small act of defiance against their lackadaisical attitude.
I challenged the corporal's statement and interjected into the conversation. "Well, what do you believe happens to us when we die, then?" I posed the question, a tinge of passive-aggression lacing my voice. With a plastic fork in hand, the corporal rummaged through his MRE bag, shooting me a bemused glance. "Oh, we go up to a grand castle in the clouds with forty-two virgins," he retorted sarcastically. Then, he firmly delivered his definitive answer, "No. When you die, you die. Nothing happens. There is no afterlife."
"Heh, yeah, no, not this time. Eh, listen, they said- I mean, I was told that he overdosed, but they don't know whether it was, like, an accident or...you know. Fuck..." Gabriel's voice cracked, his attempt to maintain composure failing as a wave of numbness washed over me. "Yeah..." My voice trailed off weakly in response, acknowledging Gabriel's words. "I just...I figured you'd want to know is all, man. I'm gonna call the rest of the lads and check in. Listen, mate...I...listen, if you need to talk or anything, just say the word, yeah? I’m here." Gabriel's offer hung in the air, a lifeline extended in the face of the heavy news we had just received.
