Guiders of our Dreams - Original Fantasy and Science Fiction Audio Drama

Project Overview

Hello!


Several years ago I began this story in 6th grade, which evolved from an animation, a book, and into an audio drama that I created in 8th grade which is what it is now. Unfortunately, my freshman year of high school I had to discontinue the series after only two episodes due to my overall busyness.

Flash forward to now, I am almost a senior, and I would really like to start this back up and see how far I can get into the story. It's hard to pump out a fairly detailed video so I'm going to try to go as bare bones as I can for the videos themselves, so I can make as many episodes as possible.

Currently I have episodes 2-4 written out, and are currently in the revision stage so we can get right to work.

I have put the YouTube playlist of the two episodes up; please listen and tell me any useful critique and get some inspiration for the auditions. (Please note that my writing and editing skills have become a lot better since then!) I've also included some super old drawings that I drew several years ago (you can tell I'm not the best artist, lol!) or ones that I commissioned.

Please be at least 15+ years old to audition and have a microphone that's of good quality. There also might be cussing in the series, if you're uncomfortable with that. Audition for many roles as you would like.

Lexia is a teenager between the ages of 14-16, who has had her whole life taken before her very eyes. Her home was ambushed upon and her family murdered in front of her eyes; Lexia and Sasha are the sole survivors.
Lexia is bold and tries to understand many things, but it seems as if something is holding her back. She has become vengeful, wanting to kill whoever has done this to her. She is then taken under the wing of Artemis and the other Guiders who have awakened on her planet from Earth; but will Lexia have her revenge, or learn from it?

Main character of the series.

Guider of the moon. Artemis is very protective, brave, and kind. Being naive and very gullible at times, she made the grave mistake of giving her shadow demon on Earth when the world was ending powers that are equivalent to a Guiders'. 
She has a dark side that comes out at times.

  • (Vengeful) "Don't talk about things like that. You know nothing."

  • "Please, let me help you. Don't be afraid."

  • "You both were dead! All of you long gone! I was the last of the Guiders, wandering the Earth without a clue of what I was supposed to do next!"

Brandr the Merciless

Listed as Fang on my website.

Brandr was an army general of the Empress, and has now realized all the atrocities he has committed. He was practically a slave to her and did all of the dirty work for her.  He is a shoryk (shore-ruke), a zombie-like monster that the Empress genetically modified for her bidding; although, he once was human, and is beginning to remember.
He was the one who ruined Lexia's life and is now deeply regretful of it. He also knows the Guiders, even used to be one before the Empress took hold of him. He has been waiting hundreds of years and the others don't even recognize him.

Protagonist of the series.

  • "Give me a good laugh or a scream; something alien sounding!"

  • "No... it can't be... it can't be you!"

  • "Not so strong after all? You sound just like your brother; his screams were pitiful as he begged for mercy, while I pierced his chest and dug out his heart, crushing it in my hands!"

Sasha is a sorceress, who survived the village ambush with Lexia. They were separated, then Sasha falls into the hands of the Empress' army. She is then executed for witchcraft and treason, but then somehow appears later on in the series.
Sasha has many secrets to tell...

Pronounced: Orr-fee-us

Guider of darkness. Orpheus is very sweet and peaceful, considering what kind of power he holds. He is very protective, especially of Artemis, who he has feelings for.
Every time Orpheus uses his powers of darkness, the higher the chances that he will either die or lose control of himself for good.

  • "I'm sorry, Artemis, but Zephyr is right. You did it without asking us; you could've waited until everything was over!"

  • "Amazing! How did I understand that?"

  • Give me a good scream, like if someone's in pain.

Guider of the wind. Zephyr is very hot headed and proud. He can be very empathetic and defensive at times; but his true desire is power, both political and physical.
He eventually betrays the Guiders and joins the Empress' side.

Listed as "Eclipse" on my website. Still reworking her personality and traits, trying not to make her a stereotypical villainess, which is how I wrote her a few years ago.

The Empress was Artemis' shadow demon on Earth, which convinced her to give The Empress fantastic powers equivalent to a Guider. The Empress is now, well, the Empress of Skiya and has the planet under her iron fist. She will stop at nothing to kill the Guiders.
She is a big fan of not only physical torture, but loves confusing and torturing the mind as well. She did this to Brandr for hundreds of years.
Antagonist of the series.

  • "How dare you defy me, sorceress!"

  • "I have eyes and ears everywhere... I know what you're hiding."

  • Give me a good evil laugh.
