Doctor Who: Resplendent is an alternate-universe fan audio series (separate from Fantasia) created and showrun by Aeryn Novell, which I'm co-producing!
The Doctor is freshly regenerated! Letting the TARDIS take them on their first adventure, they arrive on Nyrrhax, a fantastic planet of mystery and wonder, but are thrown into the deep end as they’re accused of being involved in a conspiracy that could lead to the planet’s destruction. Can the Doctor save Nyrrhax before certain doom?

(RECURRING CHARACTER) Transgender Thavari (Thuh-vah-ree) scientist. A Pangolin-like humanoid. Absolutely book-smart, but not street-smart. This is mainly because the planet they’re from, Nyrrhax (knee-racks), has never allowed travel on or off the planets surface.

(Professional) I will take full responsibility. If they are truly a Time Lord this could be the most significant contact we’ve had in centuries. I don’t want it muffled behind blasters and protocol.
(Contemplative) As impressive as our flora and fauna are, it’s our people that I’m most proud of. Nyrrhax (knee-racks) has been a peaceful world. The Thavari (Thuh-vah-ree), the Velunari (Veh-loo-nah-ree), and the Velarions (Veh-lay-ree-uhns). Our relationships may be cautious, but it’s rooted in respect. We’ve built this world not through conquest, but through harmony.
(Tense) Might I remind you that without me, you would not have the armor in which you and all of your Wardens wear? That I alone have spearheaded many of our technological advancements? So, unless you have a warrant, I suggest you leave my lab. Now.
(RECURRING CHARACTER) Female Velunari (Veh-loo-nah-ree). Reptilian, elf-like centaur species. Practically exiled from her people for her spirit of adventure and love for stories, she is beyond excited to finally meet offworlders.

(Amazed) “The metal Skarelli (Ska-rehl-E) speaks! Is the voice yours, little sentinel?
Nyrrhax (knee-racks) is a planet that lives in a balance. Two suns, two moons, and a planet with a core of crystal. It is beautiful, but delicate. We fear that ships from off planet might cause too much harm.
(Angry) No! I will not stand idly by and watch my people suffer! They sit in their towers grown from patience and rot and call it wisdom! They listen to the stars as if they’re prophets but fail to listen to the ground beneath their talons! The council fears me! Fears anything that is different from them! You heard them! They were focused more on our presence than the warning in which we gave!
(RECURRING CHARACTER) A female dragon-like creature, thought long extinct, she can only communicate telepathically after learning the language of the locals and offworlders.
I picture this voice to be deep and feminine. A wise voice, but not aged. The planet of this episode is inspired by high fantasy/DND if that helps you with vocal inspiration!

(Grim determination) I am aware. However, cowering away in the Heartspire would only prolong the inevitable. I will face my destiny with dignity.

The Velunari (Veh-loo-nah-ree) have lived in harmony with Nyrrhax (Knee-racks) for longer than our recorded history. Their use of our Thavari (Thuh-vah-ree) Wardens instead of creating a protective force of their own was an agreement made centuries ago.
(Encouraging the others) High Warden Kael has served this planet faithfully. He believes in protection. He believes in stopping threats before they escalate!
(Ominous) Nyrrhax speaks…may she forgive us if we have misjudged her tune.
(Veh-loo-nah-ree) Reptilian-like centaur species. Guard.

Male, leader of the Thavari (Thuh-vah-ree) Warden forces. He is tired of his military might being “squandered” on just protecting the planet of Nyrrhax (Knee-racks).

(Icy) Don’t you dare try to “correct” me! You want everyone to cater to your delusions, fine! But don’t drag this planet's future down with you!
(Professional) Esteemed councilors…I wish this were not necessary, but Nyrrhax is in danger. Not from outsiders alone, but from within. My men have apprehended an individual. I believe this to be the emissary sent by this…corporation. This is a threat that I believe is imminent if we do not take immediate action. I suggest emergency powers until we can confirm this threat is put to an end.
(Giving a speech) Wardens of Nyrrhax! For generations, we have stood as the protectors of this world. We have watched the skies so that our people may sleep. So that harmony may endure! But today...that harmony we hold dear is under threat! I have served as your High Warden for decades. I have watched your clutch mates rise. I have personally visited families who would never see their kin return. We shall put an end to this. Immediately! Nyrrhax endures because we make it so!
Your average, run-of-the-mill business representative. Only there to represent the company (and nobody’s best interests). I picture the voice of someone who’s trying very hard to sell you something, to the point where you can tell they’re faking their sincerity.

Our interest is purely exploratory. We will send a single agent planetside to assess viability. If the crystals prove…profitable…we shall proceed.

The Doctor’s faithful metal dog, but don’t call him that! He picks up much of his wit from various movies, which he enjoys watching when not on adventures.
