GRIZZLY'S 2 Casting Call (Wilson Recast)

Project Overview

Introduction

Hello! I am TheTVBunny! I am the vocal director and lead audio engineer of GRIZZLY'S 2 and update for GRIZZLY'S 1. I am here to recast the main character of GRIZZLY'S 2 which will also be used in promotional material for the game.

GRIZZLY'S 2 surrounds the character Wilson who has been going job-hunting to help his wife fight cancer. Wilson happened to find a job at a storage unit by the name of "ALL-STORAGE" which happens to be a storage unit holding newer models of Grizzly and his gang.

Requirements

  • You are expected to have a good microphone and good sound treatment. This means that reverberation in a bedroom is not allowed and should be dealt with things like moving blankets or panels made for sound absorption—the cheapest something to use when recording is a large, thick quilt or blanket of some kind.
  • Make sure that your space is quiet, which means no fans or people talking in the background. If you have to use a noise gate or noise profiling tool, that is fine with me, it helps the recording without massively changing the tone of the voice.
  • Only use effects that help with dynamics like compression or noise gates. Things like pitch shifts or chorus change the tonality of the voice in a robotic way, which is not what we are looking for. If severe effects need to be added, we will add them ourselves.
  • Please be at least the age of thirteen. While I prefer to work with those much older, thirteen is the very minimum because of the content in and out of the game. Please add your age or age group in the description of your audition.
  • Provide two or more takes in ABC ABC format. This is to see if you can read the line in other ways than a default line. You can add bloopers but they must be at the end of the audition audio sent in.
  • Do not slate in your audition. I don't need to know your name in the audition when I can find that out by taking one glance at your profile. Though, I do not mind if you would like to add your name to your audition description.
  • Discord is required when you are cast into the role. This is due to the fact that I will be live directing every actor apart from the animatronic voice actors as I want the lines to sound as natural as possible. It also allows for flexibility when recording.

Quick Notes

  • I will reject troll auditions as we are taking this seriously, even if it is GRIZZLY'S. I may also reject really bad auditions that aren't worth saving.
  • This is a lead role, which means you are in everything regarding the game including the game itself. This is merely for GRIZZLY'S 2 but it is still an important role nonetheless.
  • This is a fan product! This will not give you a credit on IMBD or a credential for an agency as it is a project stemming from the FNAF series.

    Hello people of CCC. I thought I would give an update to all of you waiting to know who is getting picked for Wilson. Well, we are still indecisive. We currently have three people on the list for callbacks for the role but that will not be enough as he is the main character and we want a bigger pallet of voice actors to bring back and have to redo anything they are still needing to improve on. This can be the delivery, voice, or anything in between. Thank you guys so much for the patience you guys have given us throughout trying to cast this role. I will contact everyone on the list for callbacks. This is Ethan, heading off.

Wilson is a lead role and player character in the Five Nights at Freddy's fan game, "GRIZZLY'S 2." He is a stressed-out, saddened man who is only scraping by to help his wife, who is dying of cancer. He is tired, working dead-end jobs, taking listing after listing just to make ends meet.

Wilson should sound lower in register and hoarse in tone due to how tired and depressed he is. This is a voice that can be put up to interpretation but try to keep to the deep, hoarse voice as much as possible. The voice should not sound like Corpse as it would not fit what we are looking for and don't go Batman. Just don't.

  • "Look, I'm going to apply to the ALL-STORAGE place to get the money to help you fight cancer." [Wilson is desperate to save his wife from cancer, and he is trying to reassure her that everything will be okay in the midst of his own tears of sorrow.]

  • "I will do anything it takes to save her. No matter if I kill myself in the process, I will do it." [Wilson is determined to be able to treat the type of cancer his wife developed. No matter what he has to do, he will do it.]

  • "Okay, so, this door is locked and I wasn't given a key for this door for some reason. Do you think it is somewhere in the office?" [Wilson is confused about why the door was locked, thinking he should be able to get in without needing all of the excess work of using a key.]
