Project Overview
Then Grimm Verse is the place for you!
Summary:
Grimm verse is the story of a team of mages whose sole responsibility is keeping both the magical and the human separate but balanced. Young and inexperienced, they rely on the Files (fairy tales + lore), items and one another.
Format:
The overall format of this is purely audio. A concise story has already been written and finished so all I need are your voices. All "episodes" will be able on Tindeck in case you are wondering where that would go to.
Requirements
-Decent mic quality (anything below gaming headset is unnacceptable)
-NO attatched microphones (i.e. laptop/ webcam mic)
-Minimal to no background noise (No screaming or yelling in the background)
Production:
Grimm Verse was created, Written and Produced by Aileene Pulido. Art has also been created by Aileene Pulido and though the characters are fleshed out into a main plot, bonus episodes will feature requested stories which I accept as submissions.
There are male and female roles for the main cast which I tried to balance out.
Minor roles will open now and again, though I may ask the main cast to do those instead.

Petulant and immature are the best words to describe Elliot. The mage has a way with words and he certainly uses it. Elliot is the best there is with spells and his charisma gets him by a lot of things. Being smart helps a bit, but it doesn't end the fact that he's really selfish and a bit of a coward.
NOTE: You may be required to "sing" or "Chant" for short intervals if casted.

MAIN CHARACTER. Celeste's upbeat, tech/magic savvy younger sister. Felicia is the friendliest girl the universe has to offer. She usually sing songs when she talks. Also, even if she is light humored, she has a really horrible temper. She is Natasha's right hand and prides herself in being so
Felicia's voice is over excited almost all of the time, so if you want to go with a higher register of voice, that's perfectly acceptable.
Hello, hello! Oh this is weird. Heh. I'm not used to speaking much in front of others. I usually write the pamphlets. But hey, there's a first time for everything!
"*laughing* Omg Jayce! That's so not how it works! See, youneed to put the silverdust on the moon stones, which aren't exactly from the moon. Then you say something into cupped stardust and voila! You have a new record of your voice for the rest of eternity! Pretty neat huh?

MAIN CHARACTER. Jayce is laid back and also Felicia's unnofficial tech assistant. Jayce isn't the best at potion mixing or spell making, but he's a really great diplomat when it comes to talking to the fae. He's the kind of guy who breaks the awkward silence and gets things going.
Jayce's voice should be laid back and relaxed with maybe a hint of excitement about something he really likes. He can be awkward and not notice it.
NOTE: He uses a few spanish words mixed into his English, and if you happen to have a bit of an accent thats fine.
YOU DON't Have to be fluent in Spanish or speak Spanish to play this role. You may replace the spanish words/phrases for English if you are more comfortable.

QUESTIONABLE IMPORTANCE. MAIN CHARACTER LATER ON. Ken is the only member on the team to not be a mage. Instead he is a fairy and a pain for everyone. He's very arrogant and very vain. He really thinks his species is superior to everyone else. He also likes to gamble favors, or sell them, whichever sounds best. He's also a major flirt and makes no differences between genders.
Ken's voice should be full of arrogance and sarcasm. Be the biggest jerk you can be while still sounding attractive is what I can say for him.
Fight the fae? Ha! Nat, sweetheart, you must be joking! You simply must be! Your team can't even concoct a decent warding spell. My money's on the fae any day.
Hmm, I could help. But why should I help for free? You know my price. Bring me water of Life, then we'll talk.
Poor Rhonda. Oh dear, you're tearing up. Dry those tears, they're not worth it. This is why you should choose better. But I suppose mistakes are part of maturing. Ah, don't look at me like that. I'm only trying to help.
one of Natasha's least cooperative members. Celeste likes doing things her way and isn't particularly fond of working with others. She is far more dry in her demeanor than Carson, who is probably one of the only ones that she finds amusing, though it could be because they grew up together.

See, right here it states that the porter of the files should be someone who has analyzed and seen the texts. Meaning, someone whose actually read this.
Nat isn't here today for whatever reason and Felicia's stage fright is keeping her off. I'll be your host. I guess.
Natasha is Wily, blunt and stubborn. She is also the protector of the Files and as such, an auto proclaimed leader. Her voice should inspire some form of leadership but in a very nonchalant way.
Felicia poured her heart and soul into this thing, so I figured, hey, why not give it a shot? She went through the trouble of finding these spells so it all works
If you can hear me right now, chances are you're a mage. If you can't hear me, then it won't matter that I say you're not as special as the rest, but hey, that's life. Maybe you're a great artist
Natasha doesn't like Rhonda but Rhonda is impartial. She is very fun loving and gets along with just about anyone. She tries her best to be the upbeat and positive one though when she breaks...she really breaks.
And I'm telling you Elliot, it's not as bad as it seems. It's just a few spells, a few tasks. Come on, we're making the world a better place with what we do!
Okay, so maybe I'm a little scared. But isn't that normal? I'll go against my fear if I have to. That's what being brave is all about.
I can't do this anymore! All of this screaming and biting and hating each other! It has to stop! I've tried! I really have tried! but why can't you all just see it?! MAIN CHARACTER. Tessa is airy but not nearly as uncooperative as Celeste. Tessa is easily surprised and goes with the flow of life. She is very Care free and the exact opposite of high strung. She's also very good at creating rhymes on the spot and challenges Carson quite a bit since he tends to be her assigned partner.
Tessa's voice should be full of excitement and wonder, as if she can't believe half the stuff she's saying. She'll laugh awkwardly when scared of something though that tends to be a rare occasion.
NOTE: Tessa likes to sing and is fascinated by songs. She hums a lot and can do a bit of sing song

Fel~ I have great news! I finally found that spell that gives siren's their amazing voice! I kind of want to try it. Wouldn't it be cool? Just having the most gorgeous voice on land?
One of Natasha's friends and one of the few that doesn't put up with her. Carson is a bit abrasive when it comes down to it. He has a bit of a rumble and is the overall guy you get intimidated by without even knowing him. Carson is surprisingly a rule follower, unless he thinks his way is better. He usually follows what Celeste or Rhonda says and happens to be Elliot's brother.
