GRAVITY RUSH FANDUB (ANIME AND GAME)
Project Overview
Hey guys! Whiz here and I plan on doing a fandub of the underappreciated game, Gravity Rush! I love the series but I hate the made up language the developers used, so it's up to us to fix it!
First a few rules for auditioning and getting the role:
1. Have a decent mic. (Should be a given) If I can hear your air conditioner or dog in the background I will not cast you. Nothing personal but I don't half ass anything!
2. Show emotion but don't get carried away. Make the character fit the scene. Get creative but not crazy loud or all over the place!
3. We will communicate and send audio files through email, casting call, or our discord channel. (Discord will be our preferred method)
4. Skype or another live chat app is NOT needed. I take a very hands off approach to voice acting. Send me the lines once you think they are good and I'll tell ya which lines need to be redone if needed. We all have busy lives so I find it easier that way. Also I'm constantly astounded at how talented you guys are!
5. Send me audio in a WAV or MP3 format.
6. Send me your lines as soon as possible. Simple as that. The sooner I get all the lines, the sooner you see the fruits of your labor!
7. Be committed and try to keep in contact. We all have busy lives and if something comes up where you can't voice act anymore, please let me know as soon as possible so I can find a replacement. Also if you are very slow at sending your lines to me, I will try to contact you. If you are unable to contact me in a acceptable amount of time then don't be surprised if I find another voice actor.
8. Have fun! This is simply for the fun of it! This is our chance to put our voices into an entire game and anime! Imagine that!
ALSO....
So here are a few more details about the project:
1. Even though this is a fan dub, I put a ton of time and effort into all my videos. It may not be the best thing on the planet but I will do my best to make it as good as I possibly can!
2. There is a lot of dialogue in this game and we will be voice acting for every single character, no matter how small the role!
3. This is not a Let's Play video. It is simply a dub of the entire game and anime.
3. Once I get the lines in I will begin editing immediately. The sooner you can send me your lines the better! I want to finish this project before the end of April if I can but there is no real time schedule. I just like to work hard and fast.
4. I will credit you at the end of each video.

Kat is the protagonist of Gravity Rush. She has the special power to manipulate gravity on herself and things around her. Feisty but sweet, she does hero work just for the sake of helping people out.
"I'd do anything to protect this world!"
"Trapped without memories in a world I didn't understand...Standing at the edge, staring down into the abyss...I didn't want to go forward but I couldn't go back..."
(She discovered she is on an island floating in the sky. Narration style.)
Even after all this time, I still remember that day when the people of Hekseville stood up for me. I still felt like a stranger in a strange land, but I was starting to like the place.
(The townsfolk stand up for her for the first time since arriving at the town. Narrating the story.)
Raven is a mysterious but strong girl who like Kat, is a Gravity Shifter.
"I'll do whatever it takes to complete that promise. To save the children. and Zaza."
"I'm not sure. They've been asleep ever since they entered the Ark."
(Kat asked Raven how the kid's inside the Ark are doing.)
"Even if you found a way to get back to the city, everyone you knew would be long gone!'
(Explaining to Kat about the futility of the situation.)
Syd is policemen and a friend to Kat. While he avoids danger in most situations he always seems to find a way to help out in the end.
"Cat girl...Hmm, it's got a nice ring to it...Hey, you don't remember your name right? Good, it's settled, then---I'll call you Kat. You can call me Syd!"
(Introducing himself to Kat)
"Look. We need to find Alias. He could still be around here somewhere."
(Talking to the police)
"Not bad, eh, "Gravity Queen"? There's talk in the force about pinning a medal on you."
(Syd showing a newspaper to Kat saying she's a hero)
Cyanea is somewhat spoke like a naive child when she first met Kat but eventually becomes a mysterious entity who speaks in riddles when addressing Kat's past.
"I hate to interfere, but I must protect the dream."
(Talking mysteriously to Syd)
"Guardians, fulfill your role. I release you, so that you may free the Shifter."
(About to magically break a container that holds Dusty)
Gade is a major support character that helps Kat throughout the story. Wise and diplomatic, he gives cryptic yet helpful advice to Kat on her adventures. He has the power to create worlds to his liking but has no control over the creations themselves.
"Now, now, ladies, can't you two get along? If not for your sakes, then how about for mine?"
(Trying to prevent Kat and Raven from fighting)
"Kat, do you know that man? He's D'nelica's right hand man. I've heard nothing but bad things about him."
(Talking to Kat)
Yunica is an antagonist and later an ally in Gravity Rush. Head-strong and dedicated she is always focused on the next objective and takes her job very seriously.
"My order come straight from the top. It's not our place to question our superiors."
(Explaining to Syd why they are taking Kat)
"This is twice now....Twice that you've screwed up and brought the Nevi to Hekseville. You're a troublemaker, and we don't need your kind around here."
(Talking down to Kat for messing up.)
Alias is an antagonist in Gravity Rush. Little is known about him other than his desire to steal the Sacred Gems around Hekseville.
"Heh...You'ld better get your head in the game, or you won't survive our next meeting."
(Taunting Kat from afar.)
"Poor lost queen..."
(Sarcastically mocking Kat)
Zaza is the leader among the children at the abandoned village. He carries himself as an authority figure but only because he is the oldest in the village.
"We've been abandoned down here ever since our bus fell off a cliff. We managed to survive. But a lot of time has passed since that day. We waited for our parents to come for us, but they never came."
(Explaining to Kat where she is and who they are)
Aki is the local fortune teller. She is very reserved and doesn't say a lot.
The Shifter without a past, adrift on the River of Forgetfullness... I have been expecting you, Kat.
You are lost. You seek to ask "Who am I?" and "Why am I here?"
Aujean is the father of Eugie. He sounds like the typical grouchy dad.
H-Hurry! You saw him up there! My boy's trapped in that house! He'll get taken by the storm!
You're like that crow girl, right? Use your cat to get up there and save him!
Echo is a moody high school girl who her classmates have nicknamed "Bag girl" since she's always carrying around a weird bag. She likes Newt her childhood friend and runs away when he laughs at her once.
You're just like all the others! Leave me alone!
I'm sorry.... You were just trying to protect me...
Maye is a friend of Newt and Echo. She knows about Echo liking Newt and is mad when he gets random girls chasing after him.
Sorry, Newt. I tried everywhere, but no luck. Who's the girl with you?
Nice one, Newt. Now you've gone and got another girl falling all over you. Poor Echo.
Sorry. I think I'm just a little tired. Can you go and check the student center? Someone said they saw Echo there.
Newt is a student who apparently has a lot of girls chasing him, including his childhood friend Echo. He's ignorant to this fact though and is oblivious to female attention. He asks Kat to help him find his friend Echo.
No, no, the uniform looks great on you! Anyway, we should split up and ask around to see if anyone has seen Echo.
Kat! I asked around and everyone seems to think Echo's somewhere around the school.
I'm sorry. I guess I still have a lot of growing up to do. I just didn't want anyone to know how I felt.
D'nelica is an asshole politician. Middle aged, bald, and a evil goatee, he even looks like a jerk. Plain and simple. He rises to power but creating problems to fix in the town.
You are gathered here today to bear witness to history! Today is the day we rid ourselves of the Nevi menace once and for all!
Everything I've worked for depends on the Anemone. It would be a small sacrifice to make for the greater good.
Yuri is the leader of the special forces created to stop the Nevi. He's stern and straight forward. He's your typical military commander. A big tough looking fella. He does his job efficiently and with honor.
We're the new special defense force. Shifter, head up Stormshield tower and take out that Nevi!
The police have been overwhelmed by the growing Nevi menace. We're stepping in to become the line of defense this town so desperately needs.
I've looked into you, you know. It would be an honor to work together.
We also need a bunch of NPC characters such as police officers, a police chief, boy and girl students, and some random men and women. Pretty much just normal voices. So if you want a small one liner then just post a recording of your voice and what age and gender you can voice.
Let me know what age/gender you can do and you're in! As long as the audio isn't garbage that is. But you guys know that already!
