Gravity Falls - New Fan Season Comic Dub
Project Overview
Introduction
Welcome to my dub of a fan made new season of Gravity Falls. The comic artist for this series has graciously given us permission to dub his new season of Gravity Falls that is currently in the works. These dubs are for fun, but I am striving to create a good quality product for each one, to give the cast involved something to be proud as well as ourselves. We know it's not always easy getting experience, and I want these projects to be a high quality project for people of any experience level to either just have fun doing or so people wanting to get more experience and for everyone to have something they're proud of to share.
What I'm Looking For
I am not able to offer monetary compensation at this time for these projects as they are for fun and experience. Although it is unpaid though I would like to still have a level of professionalism and quality to the project. So I will be looking for people with:
- Because this is an ongoing series that is currently still under production by the artist, this will be ongoing for a while. With that said, please only audition for the main cast or supporting characters only if you are willing to commit to a long term project.
- Good quality microphone, preferably XLR but if you have a USB mic do not let that deter you from auditioning since it is the sound quality I'm looking for and that's still definitely achievable with some USB mics.
- 2-3 takes max per line
- Only basic post processing done to audio, as raw as possible.
- Little to no background noise, reverb or echo. Some we can definitely work with but if there is too much of any of these it greatly takes away from the quality of the audio and can be very jarring to listen to when mixed in with other audio.
- Discord
- A good attitude! We have a great team building and we would like that to continue, which also makes things obviously much easier if you can get along well with me and the rest of the team!

Dipper is the primary protagonist of the series and Mabel's twin brother. He thinks things through much more than his sister and doesn't like just running head on into things. His goal became unraveling the mysteries of Gravity Falls. When this series starts he is still 13 like he was at the end of the actual series, but then it does skip to 5 years later when he is 18. So I would like someone who can do a good impression of his regular voice but also be able to age up a bit more to where he is at now.

Real life stinks sometimes okay? I'm not gonna lie, but there's a better way to get through it than denial, and that's with help from the people who care about you.
Mabel said confessing would make me feel better.... but I feel anxious, scared... and kinda itchy...
*psyching himself up* Alright Dipper, here's the plan... Catch the trespasser, protect the supplies, keep job at pool... and eventually marry Wendy.

After hours of searching, I've narrowed it down to this tree! I know what you're thinking... How do you catch something that's always behind you? How about... a mirror suit! That's right, nothing is sneaking up on your old pal Dipp- AHHHH!~!
This series does start with the twins the age they were at the end of the actual series, but then does skip to 5 years later. So we would like a voice to match her 13 year old self but also be able to age it up a bit to when she is 18.
Mabel is a very unique character to put it lightly and is a bit crazy and over the top. She is full of energy and very excitable and in a lot of ways, the total opposite of her brother. She is the impulsive and fearless one, while Dipper is much more reserved and calculating.

When life gives you lemons, draw faces on those lemons and wrap them in a blanket, and then ta-da! Now you have lemon babies!!
My name is Mabel! But you can call me "the girl of you dreams"... I'm joking! Hahaha

*Distraught* Well it's a horrible opportunity for me! I had the worst day of my life! When we turn 13 summer ends and I have to leave everything behind. You're the only person I could count on and now you're leaving me too!?
Ford is Stan's brother who came back through the series. He spent a long time in another dimension and is determined to uncover all the mysteries he can. He takes Dipper under his wing and they bond through solving mysteries of the town.
Greetings! Do kids still say greetings these days?
Ok, but it won't be easy. Take this... and this! Hmm I haven't been in this dimension for a while, it's alright to give children weapons right?
I know you want to believe that... but I'm sorry... he's gone...
It's a transuniversal gateway. A punched hole through a weak spot in our dimension. I created it to unlock the mysteries of the universe. It could just as easily be harnessed for irreversible destruction.
I'm sorry kids, I know how much you were looking forward to this... but I can't let you, it's just not safe.
NO! Don't do that! I mean... I'm sure that's not necessary. Just trust me please.
Grunkle Stan is who the twins go to stay with during the summer in Gravity Falls. He is a con man and although he doesn't act like it all the time, does care a lot about his great niece and nephew. He spends most of the summer in the original series, trying to convince Dipper that all the things he was experiencing weren't really real although he knew more about them than pretty much anyone else.
It's not safe for Waddles outside! There's predators! And Barbequers! That's just the natural order! It's not MY fault your pig is potentially delicious.
Maybe I haven't been the best summer caretaker. But today I promise, we are going to have some real family fun! Now who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car!

Soos works at the Mystery Shack and became a good friend of Dipper and Mabel. He is a bit of a special guy and maybe not quite the brightest lightbulb around but he is always there to help out his pals.

Wendy is super laid back and carefree and was also Dipper's love interest throughout the main series. She's your typical casual teen and doesn't let much bother her.
So say everyone here get's stuck on a desert island. Which one of these freaks would you want to be stuck with?

Pacifica is the daughter of the richest family in town and through the majority of the series, is essentially your typical "mean girl". She is Mabel's rival through the entire series but does change her attitude once she's knocked down a few pegs later on. She gets along much better with Dipper now.
Took you long enough! And watch the earrings! They're worth more than your house!

These are all comics that we are turning in to videos, so you would be required to create the video as well as adding music, audio and SFX to it as well. Audio is handled by another team so you would just need to worry about adding it to the video and spacing, not any audio treatment.
Say something you think would fit
This would be an assistant position to assist in some of the more tedious tasks involved with directing, as well as communicating with the cast and crew, checking progress regularly and helping things run smoother. You would also be able to be involved in other areas as well more if you are wanting for experience.
