Project Overview
This is a fandub of the webtoon Gourmet Hound. I love is comic very much, and its so important to me. I want more people to see it, because it made me feel less alone. I want others to get that feeling as well.

I am aware this is a large comic with a large cast. I will be giving generous time for lines since it is unpaid. I look forward to working with those of you who get cast!

Main Character, I am going to be voicing. It seems vain to do that, but this comic and Lucy in particular is very important to me.

The secondary main character, and main love interest. Co-Owner of Gourmet Hound Café for which the comic is named. He lives above the café with his dog Lemon. Before assisting Brie in opening Gourmet Hound he worked with her as a gourmet chef at Dimanche (Dee-Mahnsh) until a car accident caused him to lose his sense of smell. I will need him as both an adult and a teenager for flashbacks. I would prefer for the same voice actor for both as there are very few flashbacks of teenage Graham. He is 16 in the earliest flashback so major voice differences shouldn't be needed.

(Panicked) Then don't rent out the apartment above it to people who can't smell smoke! Goodbye!
(Embarrased) Can't believe how emotional I got when she enjoyed my food...!! Of course she makes that kind of face for anyone's delicious cooking...! (Disappointed) But it makes sense that she'd react similarly to another Dimanche (Dee-Mahnsh) chef's cooking. We already knew that neither Antoine nor I would be her chef.
(Serious, Somber) I think you should call him, Fuji. She gave that phone number to you after all these years, not me, or Brie, or anyone else. There must be a reason why.
As stated on the box. I'm not entirely sure the kind of voice I am looking for. I want it to be warm, and friendly for the most part with the ability to be somber, and serious as necessary. For the most part though it will be the warmer tone. The majority of these lines will be info about the chapter titles and character bios that are present in each chapter past a certain point. There will also be a few scenes with images I will have you read as well, and some exposition boxes as well.

(Warm and Friendly) Lucy Fuji, Age : 25, Occupation : Bookstore Employee - Part-time Café Worker, Likes : Homemade Food, Her Grandma, Dislikes : Hot Weather, Overpowering Perfume/Body Spray
(Serious) A short anatomy lesson: Inside your skull is a thin sheet of bone called the "Cribriform Plate". Running through that bone are the olfactory nerves, which span from your nose to the part of your brain that processes smell. Unfortunately, what sometimes happens when you smash your face against the airbags of your car, is that you damage the cribriform plate and the delicate pathways for the olfactory nerves. And for an unlucky few people, this results in the loss of their sense of smell.
(Warm and Friendly) Confit Byaldi (Kown-fee Bee-all-dee): A variation of the French dish Ratatouille. Thin slices of zucchini, squash, eggplant, and roma tomato baked over a piperade (pi-puh-rid) - a sauce of peppers, onions, tomato, and garlic - And served in a small mound with balsamic vinaigrette.
The main owner of Gourmet Hound Café. A major recurring character, and one of my favourites too. Brie is a baker, and a huge true crime fan. Opened Gourmet Hound after her boss from Dimanche (Dee-Mahnsh) Stephen Bartlett with help from Graham She has a few flash backs as a young child (around 10), and as a teenager (16). I would prefer for all three to be the same actor since there are so few flashbacks.

(Serious) It's been two weeks since I've stopped going to Cosmos. I forgot how much I can accomplish in a morning when I have nowhere to go. It's difficult to break such a longstanding habit, and I admit it's a bit lonely in the mornings now... But most of all... I haven't seen Heath since that day.
(Emotionally Tired) I've been trying to give Heath and his staff some space for the last couple of weeks, but it's a bit difficult when we're two booths apart...
(With a Light Excitement) No, what if you forget and someone sneaks upstairs and murders you in your sleep? I'm just saying, I'd rather have you living upstairs than try to rent out an apartment full of your blood stains.
The kind himbo barista of the Gourmet Hound Café. A little flirty, but genuinely sweet. From Hawaii and gets home sick easily! He is recurring, but not major. I still love him, and he appears in almost every arc.

(Trying to be nice, but coming off as creepy) Oh? I haven't seen you around here before. Hey there, What're you up to, sweetheart?
(Embarrassed and Nervous) Wait, you're twenty-five?!! I'm so sorry, I thought you were just a kid--!!! I think I said some really patronizing stuff oh my god-- (Under Breath) Did I call you "sweetheart"? Holy Moly I did, why did I do that--?!!
(Wistful) Every cup of coffee has a lot of unseen depth in it, from its difficult history, to the hard work of the farmers, to the passion of the roasters. That's why it'd be a shame if you didn't enjoy it! If you're drinking it with friends, or just starting the day with it, I think a cup of coffee is something worth appreciating properly!
Walter is one of Lucy's best friends! He has known her since high school, and became friends with her in college. He helps out between his college courses at him Moms' book shop. He really likes Detective shows, movies, and podcasts! A very good boy!

(Semi Serious, Semi Excited) Listen, I've consumed enough mystery films, TV series, and podcasts to know how this goes: The killer is always the last person you suspect, so it must be one of the people you thought were impossible!!!
(Earnest, Remembering) No, No, I've thought of another one!! A couple of years back, at that Pho restaurant we went to a lot during college... There was that pretty waitress that Lucy always got really shy around!!! Oh, but wait... That waitress used to dote on Lucy a lot, and she'd give her free extras... Another attractive person giving her food, huh...
(Excited) We couldn't get confetti on such short notice. My mom called told me about it right after it happened, she was really excited about it!
Lucy's best friend, and roommate! A Y.A. Novelist, and trans icon! Loves hot sauce, and keeping her friend's grounded in reality... as long as it's not fanfiction related that is. Trans Fem actors prefered.

(Teary Eyed but Happy) Mrs. Smith... Is that why you always make sure you have copies of my books...? Because I'm trans...?
(Worried and Asking For Help) It's Lucy's birthday today, and I don't think she's told anyone about it. She doesn't like to bother people about it since it's Christmas Day... So after her grandma died, I've been the only person who celebrates her birthday with her. This is the first year she's going to be alone. If you could bring her a cake or something for me when you head back tomorrow...

The previous head chef and co-owner of Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh). He was Graham's mentor before he suddenly quit, and vanished just before Graham lost his sense of smell.

(Apologetic)... No, you're right. I know an apology is worth very little, but... I'm sorry. To both of you. I DID have to leave... but it shouldn't have been under the circumstances that I did. It had been a long time coming... But it worsened, all of a sudden, when Lynn passed away. (Mournful) We were all just so busy. And it happened so quickly... She was gone in a matter of weeks. Dominique, Charlotte, and I... We managed to break away from work to visit her at the hospital only once before she passed.
Formerly the head pastry chef at Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh). Mother of 2 of the pervious line cooks Heath, and Madeline. She is an energetic, and eccentric woman with boundless energy!

(Excited) Bartlett, Palmier, bring me the champagne! Bartlett, did you know Brie is Heath's FRIEND?! Oh ho ho ho ho!
(Serious, and Supportive) A rotation, actually. Spain, France, Italy, and beyond... I want you two to go everywhere. Dimanche (Dee-Mahnsh) is a fine resturant, but you both deserve to go beyond here. I've had to twist a few arms and call in some favors to convince them to hire two of you at once... But of course I want to show off my two best apprentices to the world. How about it?
(Stern, and Scolding) Get out of your head. If you want to succeed as a chef, you cant listen to them. If you can't get your temper and self-consciousness under control, are you sure you're suited to be a chef?
The old Sous-Chef at Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh). An older French man, who immigrated to the USA. Came up with the name of the restaurant. The French accent does not need to be heavy, but I would like some in there. Especially since he does occasionally speak French in the comic. Most of the comic he will be older, but has one major flashback where he is in his 20s.

(Apologetic and a little Sad) Sorry for calling you the wrong name, Miss. It's just, for a moment there, you reminded me of an old friend... ...But there's no way you could be her, she was much older than you-- (Confused and slightly Surprised)-- Wait. Jacobi!? What happened to your hair? (Awe) Does that mean YOU are Lynn's Granddaughter? LUCY??
(20ish years old maybe a heavier accent, Frustrated and Sad) You know, if I were back in France right now, I would have already had my Grand-Mother's roast chicken for Sunday lunch...
Head chef at the Leaping Hare, and previously a chef at Dimanche(Dee-mahnsh). She is a sweet person, but worries about letting people down, and not giving them enough support. This causes her to take on more than she can handle.

(Worried, but slightly Amused) You're usually such a good dog, why did you run off like that? How did you run all the way down to the lobby? Good thing Graham was here to sense where you went!
(Happy and Teary Eyed) I thought I'd never get to cook with Graham and Brie again. I'm the one who's grateful! After all that happened, I thought it'd be impossible... When I got Brie's call, it was like I was dreaming...
(Panicking) But if we DON'T announce it and someone finds the ring, they might think their partner is proposing to them, and their partner will have to tell them they're NOT, and now stressful marriage discussions will be on the table, and we'll have ruined Pepper's wedding AND another relationship...!!
Daughter of Charlotte Nguyen, and former Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh) Chef. Unlike her family she isn't a pastry chef, but her girlfriend Sherry is! Over worked herself to the point of injury due to a constant need to prove herself even when she doesn't need to do so. Abrasive and angry.

(Confused and Sincere, Shouting over Wind) What-- What are you talking about..?! Why would you think there's anything I could achieve that you couldn't...?! You could thrive anywhere, with anyone you meet... But all I have is cooking-- I can't let myself fall behind, because what else can I do? I'M the one who convinced YOU to leave Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh), what else can I do for you? The only worthwhile thing I can do is cook--
(Frustrated and slightly Resigned) No. Sherry sank all our jobs for the next three weeks; She won't answer her phone or emails; the only reason I know she's here at all is because she forgot a copy of her boarding pass in the printer.
Twin Brother of Madeline, and son of Charlotte. A pastry chef like his mother, and previously employed at Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh). Now owns Cosmos Bakery (Formerly Quartz Bakery) in the same shopping center as Gourmet Hound and the Bell Corner Bookshop. More mellow than his sister, he believes in loyalty more than anything. When trust is broke then chip on his shoulder is large, and he becomes extremely cold and hostile.

(Sincere) I'm afraid I wasn't close to Chef Bartlett, I worked mostly with my mother and the other pastry chefs. My mother is very fond of him, though.
(Wistfully) ... I'm fond of stubborn people. (Serious, but Kind) I've already spoken to the patissiers you three interned with and your instructors, and they've vouched for your technical capabilities and character. It will be difficult and demanding work, but would you like to open my patisserie with me?
(Angry and almost in tears) Then, just weeks before we were supposed to leave, you threw my mother's gift away like it meant nothing. The second Bartlett told you about that the Gourmet Hound Property was for sale you decided you didn't want what what my mother was offering anymore.
One of three bakers Heath hired to Cosmos straight out of culinary school. She's a little monotoned, but kind with a soft spot for a certain blonde baker she works with.

(Apologetic and Nervous) No. What we're doing, and what we're letting Heath do, is unacceptable. This doesn't excuse anything, but I hope you understand that the way you and Clementine feel about Brie... That admiration as a professional, and respect as a person, Yuzuru, Meyer, and I, we feel the same way about Heath.
(Whispering, A Little Nervous) She's... not being the most subtle about who she's talking to, huh...
The apathic baker from Cosmos Bakery who works alongside Heath Nyugen, Anise, and Yuzuru. Has a grudge against Clementine, but they're still friends in a weird way. Loves to make fun of Lucy for being short, and calls her hamster Also makes fun of Clem for being an inch shorter.

Owner of the book shop, and Walter's mother. She has a wife named Alice (Who is in the comic maybe twice so she is a background character), and desperately wants the best for Lucy, and JoAnna.

(Mournful) Well, to be fair she never planned on owning it. Lucy had been preparing to go to graduate school for English Lit. When her grandmother suddenly fell sick and passed away. She inherited the school during her senior year of college. Between finishing her Bachelors Degree, applications for graduate school, student loans, hospital bills, funeral costs, legal fees, and the grief of losing her grandmother... She was in no place to run a business.
(Helpful, and Encouraging) The shop is doing well, so I'd like to offer you a higher position at the bookshop, something like a manager, or a partner.
A bimbo baker! We love her though, the kind of person who is legitimately friends with all of her exes. She used to work at Dimanche (Dee-mahnsh) as a pastry chef. Now she co-owns a catering business with Madeleine.

But even in the short while we've met each other, how many times have you thrown your sincerity at me without asking, in hope of forcing me to be sincere to you in return? How often have you used this tactic on others? It's not a bad trait. I'm sure a lot of people like you precisely because of your sincerity. It's a real skill to have people give you what you want and love you for it, isn't it?
(Competitive, like an Aggressive Promise) That's right. We're going to buy the apiary from under your feet, old man.

(Worried, and Angry) If they sold Dimanche (Dee-Mahnsh), then why are they still coming for him!? Wasn't the whole point of him moving to Marion so that he'd get to rest?! All of them are adults, I don't get why they keep asking him for things when he's never asked anything from them... Ugh, I'll just go okay?!
(Upset, Bordering on Mad) ... He would have gotten sick again. THEY WOULD HAVE MADE HIM GO BACK AGAIN... AND HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SICK AGAIN...!

As this is a comic dub, and my editing experience is limited, I will need help making the final product look clean. This is a comic dub so it won't need to be overly fancy, but I'd still like a nicely formatted end product!
