Project Overview
(All you need for this project is a decent-sounding microphone. By desktop or phone, it doesn't matter, as long as there's little to no background noise, no mic popping, and no static when you audition. A Discord Account for contact is recommended, but not required, as I can contact you here on the Casting Call Club website if you'd like, Discord is just more of an easier reach. Meet Gecko-Chan, a young monster with uncontrollable strength. Gecko hatched out of an egg that was frozen in ice and was raised in a lab by three brave, adventurous scientists. Fast forward years later, and now Gecko-Chan has moved to a new city, and has been enrolled in middle school as a result! The only problem is that it's a HUMAN'S middle school. There are walls, rooftops, doors, and other openings that are not built for Gecko's massive size, and if Gecko's not careful enough, a student could get flattened just by being accidentally sat on! A nervous Gecko now must learn to adapt to human life and fit in a city that wasn't prepared for Gecko's monstrous size, and try to make the humans understand that although Gecko's a big and strong monster, Gecko means no harm to anyone! A nervous Gecko also aims to keep their special powers, like shooting lasers out of its mouth ever since it was born a secret, but when you're a nervous wreck being around people who are not your type, it can be hard to focus on what you're trying to hide. Will Gecko-Chan end up fitting well in school after surprising all the humans, or will Gecko end up being the outsider in a school that's not built for big monsters like Gecko-Chan?

The Gecko-Chan character and the whole webcomic series all belong to a talented artist named Meritxell Garcia, and I do not own anything she has in any way, shape or form. Gecko-Chan is a big, cute, wholesome, and green dino-like creature with uncontrollable strength and secret powers. Gecko-Chan hatched from an exotic purple egg that was originally frozen in a giant block of ice. Three brave, adventurous scientists found the block and had it melted to discover the egg, which was taken in a lab for investigation, and that's when it happened... Out hatched an adorable little creature! Years passed, and Gecko-Chan grew, and grew... Gecko-Chan may not know its own strength, but it does want to keep its hidden power of spitting firey blue laser beams a secret! But unfortunately, that's not as easy as it sounds when you're enrolled in a school where everyone there's a human except YOU... And with the first-school jitters, it makes it hard to focus on keeping your secrets to yourself... And a nervous Gecko-Chan might end up with more than it bargained for enrolling in this school...
(For Gecko-Chan's voice, because Gecko's gender is unidentified and a mystery, I have different conditions for males and females auditioning for Gecko. A male who auditions for Gecko-Chan shall use a voice-changer and pitch up their voice higher to make it more helium-like to cover up the gender. A female who auditions for Gecko-Chan shall use more of a boyish voice for Gecko. Maybe make it sound like a tomboyish female, but not too female to assume that Gecko's a girl, and add a little bit of that young boy touch to Gecko's voice. Maybe something in between, or maybe a bit more of a high-pitched young boy's voice if you think that could work more. Or maybe you could give Gecko-Chan an equal child’s voice either a boy or girl would have all the same. Something cute, something sweet, and something high-pitched, but tricky to make it harder for others to depict whether Gecko’s male or female.)

(Very Nervous) *Gulp!* I can't believe that I have to go to a human school... Seriously, where's a school for big cute monsters when I need it? *Sigh...* But I suppose that being around humans everyday is better than not learning what they know. I just hope that no one discovers my secret powers...
(Afraid) *Gasp!* Oh no... I just did it... I just spat out a laser-beam! Oh no... The jig is up! Everyone's going to beg me to do more of... Hang on... Maybe I can convince them all otherwise! Uh oh... But I can't think of anything else that looks like a laser beam light! Oh no! Come on, Gecko! Think of a white lie! Think!!! THINK!!!

Tanchi is one of the school kids at the school that Gecko-Chan's enrolled in. At first, Tanchi and her best friend Poko were originally suspicious and skeptical of Gecko-Chan since Gecko's of course the first non-human to apply for a human school. Not only that, but Gecko's a pretty big monster, too! Gecko destroyed and crushed the entrance to Tanchi and Poko's classroom, and a MASSIVE crumb from Gecko's MASSIVE sandwich nearly landed on Tanchi! But amid all the questions left to be answered for the mysterious monster that is Gecko-Chan, Tanchi and Poko realized that Gecko was just like them... A shy and nervous kid who wants to fit in! Now, Tanchi and Poko warmed up quickly to Gecko and now the two humans became best friends with the cute dino-like creature, but once Gecko-Chan accidentally slips out one of its powers in front of Tachi and Poko, the jig was up, and an excited Tanchi who wants to see more of Gecko's powers has NO plans to make it easy for the poor monster...
(For Tanchi's voice, I'm looking for a high-pitched or mid-high-pitched female child or preteen voice.)

(Shocked) Woah... Who exactly is this new student? Actually, WHAT exactly is this new student? Well, whatever it is, it sure isn't human like us, that's for sure, Poko! It looks like a big destructive monster or something...
(Confused) Wait, wait, wait, so let me get this straight... You were found by scientists when you were originally inside an egg frozen in a big block of ice? Actually, what exactly ARE you even? Is there more beings like you that are often around these parts of the city?

(Doubtful) Tanchi, I'm really not sure what to make of this new student either... Like, Gecko's WAY too big! What if he accidently sits on one of us? How long do you think we'll be able to last with the new student?
(Shocked) Oh my God!!! Tanchi, are you ok? Holy cow... How can you even GET a sandwich as big as that one?! That crumb was MASSIVE!

School's in session! And if you're part of Gecko, Tanchi, and Poko's class, then you're in luck, because you are with a kind, cheerful, enthusiastic, welcoming, and supportive teacher! This teacher got the honor of introducing Gecko-Chan to all of her pupils, unfortunately, she also got the unfortunate honor of being the first person to be on the wrong end of Gecko's MASSIVE size... After smashing a door, trying to fit through the small gap, Gecko accidentally squishes the teacher between her blackboard and Gecko themselves! After Gecko-Chan moves out of the way after realizing what happens, the teacher suggests that Gecko sit at the far end of the classroom, far away from the other students to ensure that they're safe.
(For the School Teacher's voice, I'm looking for a medium-pitched young adult voice for her.)

(Grunting and straining as she is getting crushed by a giant Gecko-Chan) GAHGH!!! Urrrrghhhhh... Gecko-Chan!!! Aurrrrghhh!!! Gecko, please! I can't breath! Agh... Ghh *Breath*, gghhh... You're gonna break my glasses!!! Agh! Gagh!!!
