Gaster’s Great Escape: Casting Call #1
Project Overview
Hello?
Can you hear me? I am here. I am real. And I will be rid of these shackles.
In the void time is non-existent.
In the void you, are non-existent.
However, if that were truly the case. Why does everything feel so real?
Timelines, Determination, Parallel worlds... Which is the truth?
How do you escape a world, that was never there?

Hello and welcome to my latest Comic Dub Project of MoldyDraws’ Deltarune fan comic Gaster’s Great Escape. Here we’ll be following the story of the Underground’s original Royal Scientist and begin to unravel just how the world came to be in his absence.
This is a paid project for a comic that is currently ongoing so a completion date is not yet set. I specifically do animated comic dubs since I feel they’re more entertaining to watch! Please be sure to check out the comic and support the original creator, thank you!

Hey guys! Thank you so much for your fantastic auditions! I’ve been spending lots of time listening and taking notes, so I appreciate all of the hard work that’s gone into your auditions. I’ll be messaging VA’s either here on Casting Call or on their preferred way of contact. Final cast will be announced once I get in touch with VA’s. Thank you all again, and I hope you all look forward to future casting calls!
For this role I’m looking for deep to mid pitch vocals, with the emotional range of both cynical and doting. This character carries himself with purpose and intellect. A smooth and slow speaking pattern that reflects the old tired soul of the once great scientist.
Line 1: [Pessimistic.] Why bother? Wingdings isn’t in your vernacular. It’ll just sound like noise to you.
Line 2: [Speaking to young Papyrus.] Oh I’m so relieved! Thank you, Paps. How would I ever manage without you?
For this role I’m looking for a low and deep soothing vocals. This is a big character with a big heart. However, he also has a somber undertone to how he speaks and is very easy to read. He can get caught up in his emotions very easily so being able to express his energy is crucial.
Line 1: [Lighthearted, handing Gaster tea.] Here, you look like you could use a hand or two. [Awkwardly corrects himself through laughter.] Ah, please forgive me, that was an awful pun to make.
Line 2: [Through tears, defeated.] I never wanted you to see me like this… I know it looks pathetic. But the truth is… I don’t really know… who I am without Tori.
For this role I’m looking for a mid to high tone vocals for that of an eerie child. The way they speak is maniacal, and haughty in a way that feels condescending to most that they interact with. They wear an unsettling smile so lean into a bit of a playful-singsong way of speaking from time to time, specifically when taunting another character.
Line 1: [Feigning sympathy.] I suppose it’s time that I replaced you with another “you” who’s a bit more capable. In return for your hard work, you are free to roam this world while it exists.
Line 2: [Tauntingly.] Are you openly weeping, doctor? Don’t tell me that decrepit soul of yours can still feel pain.
For this role I’m looking for mid to deep vocals. He speaks very calm and casual as if he doesn't have a care in the world. However, that's very far from the truth. He can be very serious and caring when need be and can also have his silly moments as well so emotional range is a must. There is also a moment where he speaks Spanish as well as flashbacks to him as a child so flexibility is very much appreciated.
Line 1: [Encouraging about Papyrus’s new hat.] Yeah that’s way better. Style and comfort. For looking cool while you stay cool.
Line 2: [Empathetic and Apologetic.] Paps… Listen to me, I’m sorry I didn’t run my plans by you first. I didn’t exactly have a lot of time. But you gotta understand something— or at least try to.
[With disdain.] The underground was a prison.
Line 3: [Sans as an excited child.] Paps, hey look over here! I got you a balloon!
For this character I’m looking for mid to high vocals. He is typically proud, matter-of fact, and very vocal but also struggles with not necessarily having many friends. This leads to him having a more somber tone from time-to-time. His character can be very loud and brash at times but he means well, wearing his heart on his sleeve wherever he goes.
Line 1: [Surprised and delighted.] Hey, it's my favorite cap from back home! I had no idea these stylish head accessories served a practical purpose!
Line 2: [Feeling down.] I appreciate the encouragement Sans. But alas… making friends was already difficult enough for me at home. Why should the outcome here be any different?
A more naive and simplistic Papyrus since he is literally a child. For this character I’m specifically looking for high pitch vocals only that can capture the cute innocence of a young child.
Line 1: [Excitedly.] Will there be humans on the surface, too?! Will I get to see a human?!
Line 2: [Determined.] Dad! One of your hands went rogue again!! Don’t worry, catch it!!
