Fruit friends!
Project Overview
Fruit friends is going to be a dubbed animatic about a series of fruits from different stretches of life being brought together! Six Fruit who, thanks to the roller coaster of life, are stuck together in a therapy group, and have to learn about one another and their struggles, the series would focus on showing the many different struggles everyone around us may be going through, and attempt to tackle subjects most stories tend to gloss over, in this case, grooming, emotional abuse, and fears of loss or becoming pointless. Everyone has a story to tell, big and small, sad or tragic, and even lonely and stagnant. All of them different, but knowing that, all of the characters can find a certain kinship, despite their differences. One could even say its like, Apples and oranges this way?

Barry is a upbeat guy who’s been dealt a shitty hand. Due to an accident he always has tears streaming down his face,(no sniffles tho) but he doesn’t let it get to him anymore, Hes trying to improve as a person.
Barry is very to himself, often dissociating, and zoning out during therapy. Very soft spoken, and a little raspy, he is very small in presence, and in voice. When he does get into an argument, he tries to get louder, but also gets his voice cracking a lot. Clare is a very close friend of his, and he is one of the only people that can calm her rage. But he often gets exasperated at the antics of those around him, lots of sighing, eye rolling, and groaning from this one when that happens. The poor guy is also stuck in a relationship with a girl who doesn't really care for him, something he is accepting of, but denies when asked. Spending lots of time on his phone, getting left on read, and attempting to get the recognition she wont give him. As Barry is the main character, he takes lessons from the growth of all those around him. and tends to learn things from their unique personalities.
*nervous* “H-hey, lets calm down everyone. We catch more flies with honey than vinegar.. please?”
“You gonna toss me aside like I’m nothing and beg for me back? I’m sorry, but I have more self respect than that. Please. Leave.”
*deep sigh* “I swear to god Clare, you can’t run fast enough to run on water, your just gonna keep falling through.
She has a high pitched scratchy voice, expect lots of screaming and high energy

Angry, passionate, and loud. Clare Cherry is the prime example of a child with everything to say, and lots to say about it. Squeaky, noisy, and energetic. Clare is a young teenager who currently works in a career in online gaming for a website like youtube, as her bombastic personality is very popular. But thanks to the internet, Clare was put in a situation where an older couple attempted to groom her into a 3rd partner in their family, which is a massive sore spot for her, a topic that if she ever stopped shouting, would definitely be a wound one could see she carries.
Clare also has a strange strange strange cousin named Carrey Cranberry, a mouthbreathing kid with chaotic energy to match electricity. Clare gets very apologetic, and likes to pretend she doesnt know Carrey, despite caring for her cousin.
“Ooooooh, you think you can just beat me like that huh!? Oh you just beat me.. s-shut up, doesn’t count!!!”
“Immmmmm sorry, who’s the one with the very great and successful streaming career??? Hehe that’s what I thought.”
“HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEH”
She has a mellow, but higher pitched voice. Her mother has rot (fruit cancer), and is trying her best to take care of her in her last days

Clementine is an old soul in a young body, only around 20 years old. Clementine has a lot on her plate, but takes it best she can, for she lacks the confidence to do anything otherwise. With her adoptive mother being old, and being on her last legs, she tries to spend as much time as she can with the aging woman. But these things take a toll on her mental health, and she has no other real friends, so her mother suggested she try group therapy, to go and meet people.
Extremely shy and meek, Clementine has a squeaky, but very held back voice. She tends to quiver if things get to hard, and accidentally reveals more personal info than is needed more often than not. But being soft spoken as she is, makes her extremely approachable, probably being the kindest of the fruit cast.
“Is this seat taken? Yeah? That’s okay, the floor looks soft too..”
“I-I’m not ready to lose her yet.. she’s everything I have.”
“Aw. I’m sure thats rough. Need to grab you something to make you feel better? I'll pay."
Lonely young man who lives in his van, put into the family business of therapy by his parents, so he now works as a community group therapist.

Very very airy voice, he talks more calmly and quietly than the rest of the cast. He may not know what he's doing, but he knows how to be nice. He uses lots of basic teacher terminology so that it sounds like he understands this more than he actually does, "good work ethic!", "its always good to open up", "good listening everyone."
Listens to a lot of motivational tapes before work as the group therapist. He tries to befriend everyone in the group best he can, so very friendly language is used. The only character he actively interacts with outside of work at first is Audrey, who is using him to make herself feel better, although he doesn't know, or chooses not to know,
Because Drew also tends to go with the flow, not much of a go getter, the guy is very very agreeable. Willing to go along with quite a bit, even if kids can confuse him, and he doesn't actively relate to fruit who have had extremely tough circumstances, like drug abuse, or grooming.
"Nah its okay she always does this, Audrey just has a lot on her plate. She usually gets here after about an... hour or so"
"Aw Carrey, you went 5 whole minutes without breathing out of your mouth! Thats a gold star for you!"
` "Heyyyyy Clare, is that therapy friendly language?. What did we say about making people feel... welcome?"
Gregory is a 35 year old father actor with a almost angered fear for children other than his own.

Very singsong like. He has a certain bravado and class to him. When Gregory Grape is in his element, he truly shines, at work he's everyone's favorite. His wife loves him, and he is the life of the party, giving him a very carefree tone.
But due to an incident at the mall, he is now in therapy, which is NOT his element. His voice is far more unsure, like an actor who has no script, or flubbed a line, not to mention his tendency to loudly argue with Clare.

"Clare, please tell me you didn't bring that THING again!"
"Eh... heheheh... You'll have to listen to your mother on this one hun."
A young strawberry in her early twenties with a history of addiction and substance abuse. Pretends to be in group therapy for other reasons by using a snarky and careless persona.
lots of flippant terminology, "Whatever", "ok", "if you say so", etc. Pretends to like guys so she can string them along for emotional support.
She'd have an almost airhead tone to her voice, due to pretending not to care all the time, but she mostly just disassociates a lot.
When she gets defensive, her voice tends to crack and squeak, and she almost pulls a mean girls style attitude, insulting maturity, clothing, and even bringing up personal issues from therapy on accident, although she quickly doubles back after going that far.
"Oh Drew? Yeah he's a nice guy and all but, like, he's too nice... for his own good, Yeah?"
"Ugh, kids, the grown ups are talking. Go play."
"I'm not sure what you mean by that? You have something to say?? (silence) Ugh. Whatever."
Chaos incarnate. Carrey is a wound up ball of energy who peaked as a photogenic mascot baby in her youth thanks to her rare head full of bushy hair, who is now plagued with infinite energy, and an affinity for the strange. People never know what she will do or say.
Probably a very high and breathy voice, lots of mouth breathing at a fast pace.

Looking for someone who could help compose a small amount of very laid back, bubbly, and jazzy songs for a possible soundtrack to the series. Any style of this is accepted, whether electric, pop, or funky, as long as it fits a certain down to earth and boppy feel to it!
