Audition Requirements:
Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin'. He is on a mission to gain approval to date his Girlfriend, but must sing off against her evil ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest as well as the many other characters that stand in his way.
Since Boyfriend is fairly cocky (as seen in his sprite refs), we'd like to see him have a sort of positive and hyped way of speaking - of course, unless directed otherwise. Just don't push it to Sonic levels of confidence and we're set.

(Just beeps and boops; try different inflections with each take) Beep bop, skdoo bep!
(Enthusiastically/Hyped) We gettin' freaky on a Friday night, yeah!
(Annoyed; Confused) Man, what's a guy gotta do to get his blue balls wet around here?
(Casually, almost dismissively) I'm trynna funk with my girlfriend.
Girlfriend is Boyfriend's love interest and the daughter of Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest. She is usually seen sitting on top of the speakers, bopping her head to the tempo of the music, cheering Boyfriend on and keeping track of combos.
We would like Girlfriend to sound like your average cheery teen, but there isn't much else to go by for her so you're free to run with that idea!

(Preparing to start the rap battle) 3, 2, 1, Go!
(Adoringly) Aw, you're so cute I can just sacrifice you to my parents!
(Slowly, as if educating someone) Left, right, left, right.
(Encouraging) That's how you do it!
Set many years after Pico's School, Pico is hired by Daddy Dearest to kill Boyfriend for humiliating him after their sing-off in Week 1. Unbeknownst to him at the time, Boyfriend is actually somebody Pico once knew, and once Pico finds him, he decides to spare him and instead challenges him to a rap battle. Canonically after Pico's school, Pico developed homicidal tendencies and an aggressive streak that has made him fearless.
We don't really have anything in particular that we want to see from anyone auditioning, but maybe just try and stick with his canon voice in-game if you can. Otherwise, have fun!

(Rapping) Go Pico, yeah, yeah, Go Pico, oh!
(Rapping) My baby gone for the night!
(Enthusiastic) ALL RIGHT!
(Disappointed) I don't think schizophrenia and a gun is enough to fix this shit I'm seeing right now.
Deriving from the Spooky Month series, Skid and Pump are rather childish and gullible. They love Spooky Month so much that they wear their costumes year-round and constantly spread the word of it around. Their fun-having attitudes have risked them being kidnapped a couple of times and led to them encountering many shady people around town without a thought to their own safety.
We would prefer that you don't exactly follow Sr Pelo's voice used for either Skid or Pump, but rather something you'd imagine them sounding yourself. Have fun with it!

In-game, Senpai is seen as a cocky love interest in the dating sim-esque Week 6. He is quick to lose his temper and believes that he may be irresistible to most, often flirting with whoever he sees as a potential interest.
As for Senpai, it would be awesome to have a sort of over-the-top romantic anime voice (as oddly specific as that sounds), that can quickly switch to one of an annoyed, frustrated and disgusted one.

(Lovingly and suave; Romantic) Ah, a new fair maiden has come in search of true love!
(Upset/Annoyed) Not bad for an ugly worm, but I will rip your nuts off right after your girlfriend finishes gargling mine!
(Loving) Wow, your eyes are as radiant as the stars above... can you crush my balls?
Spirit is the third phase of the battle with Senpai; showing his true form after being defeated.
As there are no specifics for him, it'd be cool to see him have a sort of eldritch, wisened voice compared to his other form. Other than that, do what you like!

(Exhausted; then smug) Finally, human contact after so long! Let me take your bodies... you don't mind, right?
(Angry) Stuck in this damn game because of HER FATHER!
(Eerily) I'll make her father pay for what he's done to me, and all the others... I'll beat you and make you take my place.
Daddy Dearest is the father of Girlfriend and the husband of Mommy Mearest. He is the main antagonist of Week 1 and one of the antagonists during Week 5. He's an ex-rockstar who doesn't approve of the relationship between his daughter and Boyfriend.
Voice range: Low
(Denying; shaking his head) Ah ah ah! You can't date MY Daughter!
(Threateningly) I'm gonna squeeze your nuts til they pop, kid. Stay away from my sweetheart.
(Hyped) Let's get ready to ROOOOCK!
Mommy Mearest is the mother of Girlfriend and the wife of Daddy Dearest. She is the main antagonist of Week 4 and one of the antagonists during Week 5.
All we'd like for her is a low, motherly voice with an almost sort of seductive tone. Nothing over the top. Otherwise, have fun with doing what you'd like!
Voice range: Mid-Low
(Confronting) So you think you're worthy of MY little angel?
(Pleased) What a cute little thing you've brought to me!
(Playfully) Oh, honey, you can't keep taking Mommy's clothes! We have plenty more for you at home.
Monster is the secondary antagonist of Week 2 and Week 5. He forcefully takes over for each week's final track, Monster and Winter Horrorland respectively.
As there is nothing in particular set for this character, we'd like to try and have something similar to what we wanted for Spirit. Something unsettling and eerie.
Voice range: Mid-Low
(Threateningly) Hey man, I'm gonna eat your girlfriend!
I'd love to eat your skin and feast on your innards.
(Fondly; slowly turning into something sinister) I remember having two kids with this woman... I ate her..... and the kids.
(To Girlfriend; casually) So can I like... Eat you?
(Hurried, anxiously) B-But platonically, though.
Tankman is the main antagonist of Week 7. Sergeant John Captain, referred to simply as Captain or Cap, Captain comes from a post-apocalyptic desert-like hellscape where only militias of Tankmen and other enemy factions survive.
Voice range: Low
(Cocky) This is WAR, kid. Guess you won't be goin' to prom this year! Hahahaha!
(Hesitantly) Alright, you got some sick bars for a kid who's simping over an ugly teenage girl who wears her mom's clothes.
(Annoyed; disgusted) Ugh.
Whitmore, more commonly known as Whitty, is a short tempered ex-rock star. He has a troubled past with Girlfriend's parents, specifically her Father.
Voice range: Mid-Low
(Nervously) Listen man, I don't want any trouble.
(Angrily) How about you go die in a ditch instead?
(Casually) Alright. Let's say, hypothetically, I blew up.
(Teasingly, towards Boyfriend) Huh? Oh sorry, I couldn't hear you because of how short you are, kid.
Carol is another mod created for the game, used as a replacement for another character and often seen paired with Whitty.
For Carol, we'd love to see tons of charisma, sass and the occasional sarcastic tone for her despite her laid back appearance.

(Hyped) You ain't ready to get Carol rolled! Hit it!
(Impressed) You got some spunk for a newbie. I like your rhythm!
(Annoyed) Ugh, please don't play with my fro. It's not cool to touch peopls hair, y'know.
