Project Overview
Welcome to the casting call page for the minor roles of the Final Fantasy VIII: Abridged series that is in production. I'm in the final stages of the script and have begun editing footage, so I feel this is the oppotune moment to start looking for voice actors for the roles, below you will find the minor roles for the series which will span from the begining of the game to the end of disc 1, of course if this project is a success then continuation into a second season is likely.
As you'll find below there're auditions for Xu, Watts, Raijin, Fujin, and Shiva. These will make up the minor cast with minimal lines for the series. If you've stumbled into the wrong casting call and would likek to audition for one of the

Rules of auditioning
-I shall be considering all auditions, experienced VA's or newcomers, all are welcome.
-Audition such be clean sound with no background noise.
-Commited to the role, if you get the role I'd hope that you stay commited enough and patient enough to see the project through.
Warning-This project has mature/adult themes and language, if this makes you uncomfortable then this isn't for you.
-No one will be cast until the deadline
-Please enjoy your audition and as you will see below with each role description I am looking for certain tones and accents but feel free to experiment if you believe you can provide something more.

Headmaster of Galbadia garden he prides himself on the technology and soldiers of Galbadia but is also concerned at the state of his nation. Cooperating with Headmaster Cid Kramer and General Caraway, they come up with the plan to assassinate Sorceress Edea. He is strict and doesn't respect the other gardens, he is also very fond of Irvine, so much so he has a restraining order keeping him from his favorite soldier. He should sound mean and annoyed.
(Disappointed) "What a load of pussies, is this the best Cid could send? I guess you'll have to do"
(Strict) "I don't want to waste anymore time than I have to staring at your stupid mugs so let's get to it. Through cooperation between Galbadia and Balamb gardens we've come up with a plan to assassinate the sorceress Edea, I shouldn't have to stress the importance of this mission so don't fuck it up. I'm looking at you Chickenwuss"
(Yell) "Irvine! Get your ass over here and put these pussies to shame, show'em what a real SeeD looks like. . . (Admiration) Kinneas, if you didn't have the restraining order against me I'd kiss you"
Zone is Rinoa's second in command and is verbally and it's suspected physically abused by Rinoa. Used as a rentboy and her personal punch bag to unleash her pent up anger. He should sound afraid and nervous.
Watts is a proud memeber of Rinoa's group, happy to help but in his own way, he is rude and refers to everyone as a bitch. He should sound like an jerk.
(Afraid) Zone - "Y...you have to go wake her up, she'll beat me again if I do it. Please don't make me wake her up"
(Angry) Watts - "Hey bitch, wait up! Bitch I said wait! Zone you bitch!
Improvised line.
The ice Guardian Force Shiva helps Squall's defeat Ifrit and other enemies later in the journey. She is in a relationship with Ifrit and is trying to save their relationship from falling apart. Shiva makes several appearances throughout the series, mostly to scold Ifrit or to let off stress. She should sound stressed and frustrated.
(Angry) "Ifrit! Where the hell have you been? . . . Don't get smart with me, I know you've been with that slut Siren!"
(Calm/stressed) "Would you two mind stepping out, me and Ifrit need to have a talk"
(Confident) "Never send a demon to do a woman's job. It's okay sweetie this bitch doesn't stand a. . .(RAGE) WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!"
The soul and entertainment of the Galbadia Hotel, she plays the piano and all her see her fall in love with her. She has no shortage of admirers and it takes a certain kind of man to grab her attention. She should sound flirtatious and seductive.
(Annoyed) "Take a walk soldier boy"
(Amused) "Are you erect right now? I mean I know I'm gorgeous, but in public, are you some sort of exhibitionist. . . (Intrigued) At least you're packing down there. Hmm, what's your name?"
(Flirtatious) "Laguna, sweetie. I couldn't give a damn about your book but I like you. Meet me in my room in five minutes.
Ward remains mute for most of the game having lost his voice early on, but before he does he speaks pretentiously, using big words which confuse his friends Laguna and Kiros. Think posh, snooty upper class.
(Elegantly) "I dare say that you my discourteous, proletariat colleague are comtemplating the venture of voyaging within the velvety, connotation that of which is the inclination of conveying your innermore desires toward the impulse regarding the deed of synthesis of masculine and femininity in the conduct of concupiscence"
(Bored) "What motive determined our troop to locate to aforementioned accumulation of loathsome deformity of anthropomorphic construction that is hither?"
(Calmly) "The brute penetrated the isthmus of my neck, furthermore I popstulate my larynx received trauma of which I am afflicted with excessive discharge. . . (Angry) He stabbed me in the neck!"
The fire Guardian Force that resides with the Fire Cavern, Ifrit is the challenge Squall is met with in order to enter the Seed exam. He is in a relationship with Shiva, after the initial meeting Ifrit makes a few appearances, mostly to insult the group. He speaks with a demonic, deep tone.
(Eager) "Com'on kid show me what you've got!"
(Apologetic) "Aw babe, it's not even like that. Look, let's not get worked up over nothing. . .Babe? Shiva baby? (Afraid) Oh shit!"
(Cocky) "Well look who needs my help, you brats can't get anything done can you. . .Yeah, yeah, I'll help you out, just sit back and enjoy the fireworks, this'll be over before. . .(RAGE) WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!"
The general of Galbadia and also Rinoa's enabler, he gives his daughter everything she's ever wanted and continued to send her money after she left home. He is a serious man.
(Calmly) "Frankly, my daughter is a spoiled brat. It's my own fault I suppose but when your child is young, innocent and sweet, you want to give them the world."
(Admiration) "The man who takes out Edea has to be a man's man, show no heisitation when the moment comes. Yes the one who kills the sorceress will become a hero"
(Astonished) "How can anyone understand a thing you're saying, good god man it sounds like your speaking with a mouth full of dicks"
Biggs and Wedge are a reoccuring enemies in the game, for the series they shall be a reoccuring jokes. Genrally the chosen VA's will have free rein to act however they like with whatever voice, the two simply will be a bickering duo. Voice however you think will be the most entertaining.
(Concerned) Wedge - "Biggs, aren't you scared of the giant bat monster in the sky?"
(Annoyed) Biggs - "No, now let me work"
(Bitter) Wedge - "Fine, don't blame me when it takes a giant bat sized shit over you like some sort of freakish mutant seagill"
(Triumphant) Biggs - "Finally it's done, I knew phoning Shinra support would work"
(Shouting over distance) Wedge - "WRONG GAME!"
Immprovise something.
The self-appointed president of Galbadia, for the purpose of the series I want him to be an immitation of the stupidity that past world leaders have shown. George W Bush being a prime example, so aim for that.
(Confident) "I want everybody to hear loud and clear that I'm going to be the president of everybody."
(Opinionated) "They misunderestimated me."
Improvised line.
(Delighted) "Oh, you survived wonderful. I'll need to tell Cid I won the bet"
Fujin and Raijin are Seifer's number one fangirl/boy and is always found arguing about who adores him more. Fujin should sounds like a stereotypical nerd/geek while Raijin should sound macho and gruff voiced.
(Excited) Raijin - "You can bet Seifer will make SeeD no problem. No other man can defeat him in battle, no other can match his sense of style and definately no one is as sexy as he is"
(Irratated) Fujin - "You're just a Seifer wannabe chickenwuss, everyone knows you're a loser who wants to kissup to the Balamb star pupil. . . (Emotional) Exactly! That's my thing, you can't have it! Go copy Zell or the bitch of Balamb! Just not my Seifer!"
(Hopeful) Fujin - "He'd only have to ask and Seifer could take my virginity" Raijin - "Mine too"
For the first part of the game Ellone remains a mystery to Squall and the others, I'd like her to sound pleasant and caring.
(Whisper) "Squall's so cute when he's sleeping. . .(Surprise) Oh crap his awake."
(Afraid) "Gross! Gross! Gross! Somebody help, kill it with fire!"
(Grateful) "Oh and chickenwuss. I mean Squall, thank you"
Xu is a member of Balamb Garden and often makes bets against Cid on how long students will live before being killed by certain circumstances. Feel free to use whatever voice you think is fitting.
(Soft voiced) "So with all that in mind, Squall, remember that if you die that you'll make me a few gil. I've got you down for killed from a bat monster"
(Lovingly) "Quistis, bringing more lambs to the slaughter I see"
(Dissappointed) "I can't believe I lost the bet."
