"Final Fantasy: Lost Stranger" Manga Fandub 3
Project Overview
Introduction
Welcome to my fandub for the "Final Fantasy: Lost Stranger" manga. These dubs are for fun, but I am striving to create a good quality product for each one, to give the cast involved something to be proud as well as ourselves. We know it's not always easy getting experience, and I want these projects to be a high quality project for people of any experience level to either just have fun doing or so people wanting to get more experience and for everyone to have something they're proud of to share. This is one of multiple dubs that are up or will being posted in the coming weeks. We are trying to build a surplus of videos up before they start going up in June. That way it will give the long term VA's for any of the projects some leeway if things come up down the road and they can't meet deadlines. Once June hits there will still be some coming up every so often but the majority of the projects for the next few months at least will be being listed this month or the beginning of April.
What I'm Looking For
Due to this and future projects like this being fandubs, unfortunately I am not able to offer monetary compensation due to copyright. Although it is unpaid though I would like to still have a level of professionalism and quality to the project. So I will be looking for people with:
- Good quality microphone, preferably XLR but if you have a USB mic do not let that deter you from auditioning since it is the sound quality I'm looking for and that's still definitely achievable with some USB mics.
- Little to no background noise, reverb or echo. Some we can definitely work with but if there is too much of any of these it greatly takes away from the quality of the audio and can be very jarring to listen to when mixed in with other audio.
- Discord is definitely preferred but not mandatory by any means but will make things much easier to work on the project as a whole.
- A good attitude! I'm hoping to form a great group of people to continue working with me on these projects going forward and that is obviously much easier if you can get along well with me and the rest of the team!

With the amount of work we are currently producing we are very open to having help with the editing. Because of the nature of the project, we aren't able to provide compensation for this role either unfortunately, but if you are interested in gaining more experience and credits to your name, or just love the content and would like to work on a project for fun, we would love to hear from you!
We have this along with many other projects on the go at the moment and we are mainly assigning each VE their own project.
The editing for the manga's is going to be fairly simple, just lots of transitions and words loading as speech is being overlaid. As well as inputting the audio tracks into the video as well obviously. Some of the mangas with more action it would be great to have more effects like shakes, speed lines etc as well. Any questions please let me know!
Say something you think would fit
Alus is a very unique and mysterious character. He goes from super clueless and blank seeming to using insane magical powers. He changes a couple times throughout the saga and needs someone that can be convincing and versatile.
At one point he completely snaps and goes insane after having "confuse" cast on him and attacks his friends and scares them extremely bad with the way he's acting. This part and the parts he is very casual and passive about, almost clueless in, need to really be captured for him.
He does also have a refined quality to him although not over the top, obviously with the rest of the description about him. He does carry himself very well though normally, and doesn't really get worked up at all. Most things just kind of roll off of him and not much really seems to affect him.
He is one of the main focal characters of this saga as well so he is a major role for this section.
Hmm how did I learn that spell? I don't know? I just suddenly knew it (Completely clueless sounding)

Hey... you three.... Where do you think people go when they die? (calm and ominous)
Byblos' worlds within the books... are similar to where we dream of going after death.... Something that simply suits our fancy....... but.... What's so wrong with that? (Starting to sound unhinged and about to snap)
Is that so? Are they... really worlds filled with happiness? (Numb on the verge of snapping)
Pff... Heh heh... heh-heh-heh-heh.... And who... might yoooou beeeee?? Hee! hee! hee hee hee! hee!! Heh heh... ah-ha-ha-ha-ha... ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!! (Completely snapping after having "confuse" cast on him, laughing completely out of control)
Byblos is a very powerful magical behemoth that lives inside a book and eats people sending them into his book forever. He can change forms inside the book and is extremely powerful and likes to create illusions to mess with peoples minds.
He is a very interesting and unique character. He is generally quite casual and sarcastic, acting cool and nonchalant. However he does also get incredibly enraged at points too and completely freaks out and goes over the top. There are also parts where he thinks he is being attacked by fire (his one weakness) and totally over dramatically freaks out as well.
He is the main antagonist for this saga and the first real antagonist throughout the series so far that doesn't have a change of heart. With the type of character he has, he needs someone able to be totally dramatic and over the top at times and really nail his character.
The voice we are pretty open to due to the fact he does change quite a bit, but I do picture a bit deeper voice still.

What're you doing young man? You so scared that you've lost your marbles? I haven't even cast "confuse" yet! (Confused but jokingly mocking)
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!!?!?!?!?!? I-Iff.... Ifr??! I-I-I-I-I-I-I-If-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-If-If-If-Ifrit?!?!!?!?!? (In total panic mode, uncontrollably studdering in shock that Ifrit is actually there, the one being strong enough to stand against him)
Gyaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Aaaaaaaaa.....aaah?? ............ What's this.... It ain't even hot.... (Terrified and screaming as he's being attacked, then suddenly stops confused and annoyed when he realizes the attack did absolutely nothing and he panicked for nothing)
You bastards.... Again and again... you dare to make a fool of me.....!!! YOU WILL PAY!!!!!! No more beating around the bush!! I'm going to swallow you all up... and eat you alive!!!!!!(Completely furious)
G-Senpai is a creepy and mysterious little man that the team comes across. He seems to have limitless knowledge but will only give it for something of equal value to him. He seems to know way more about things going on around them than he lets on. He can seem very creepy and disturbing at times and also super casual and relaxed at others.
I picture his voice being a bit worn and aged sounding, maybe slightly scratchy, but I'm open to interpretation on it.
Hehehe Did you find what you were looking for? (Super creepy like, he just grabbed the MC's arm and is crawling out from a hiding spot)

Ah well, I suppose you could say I was the one who went out of line first... Sorry for scaring you... As for who I am... I guess... You can call me G-Senpai! (Total change of demeanor)
I propose a trade... If you do as I ask... I'll compensate you with information... You "adventurers" are well acquainted with quests and rewards, aren't you?
Elmo plays a small but important role near the end of the saga. As of now he does not appear later on in the series but that may change eventually. He is a deceased fire mage that has legends told about him. He does not actually appear in person but in visions and speaking in Shogo's mind.
He plays a critical role in wrapping up the saga so although the role is fairly short I would like to have someone specifically cast for it.
His soul still is trapped waiting to be reunited with his love, and has been waiting for generations to be reunited with her.
I don't have a specific voice in mind other than he should sound wise and desperate.
We'll be together forever
Death won't take you away from me
Even should death do us part
I want to continue believing. When I met my end... I could not help but wish for it
I want to be by her side
Please... I beg of you... Unite us...
