Final Fantasy IV Rydia Returns Dubbed
Project Overview
We will be dubbing the scene from Final Fantasy 4 (GBA) in which Rydia saves the party from Golbez. As this will follow the script to the letter, I am not calling this a 'fan dub', as that implies a change to script. This is probably one of my favorite scenes in the game, and I cant wait to bring it to life with everyone's voices!

Golbez is a cruel and heartless man who will stop at nothing to obtain the Crystals, destroying anyone and anything that stands in his way. He is a cunning manipulator, tricking Cecil and his allies into retrieving two Crystals for him, and otherwise luring them into traps.
I commend you for finding your way to the underworld. To reward your efforts, I shall tell you why I am collecting the Crystals.
Cecil is modest, shy, and insecure. He struggles with showing his emotions, his meekness catches others off guard, ill-fitting his initial role as a Dark Knight. Cecil struggles with his sense of identity and morality; he comes to hate himself for blindly following his King's orders to the detriment of others, and promptly loses his sense of self as a result. By becoming a Paladin and bonding with others, he gains a semblance of who he is.
It's the girl we found in Mist.
Rydia, we owe you our lives. Thank you.
At first, Rydia is devastated by her mother's death and unleashes her rage on Cecil and Kain, despite their attempts to help her, but after Cecil comes to her defense later Rydia bonds with him. Traveling with Cecil, Rydia sees the world and matures, telling Edward to stop crying as she has chosen not to cry. Rydia overcomes her fear of fire after melting a blockade of ice at Mt. Hobs with the Fire spell.
You don't have to thank me. The queen of the Land of Summons said to me... 'A great force is secretly at work. We must confront it together.'
Rosa is gentle and kind by nature. She is strong at heart, willing to follow Cecil into dangerous situations and stand by him despite his numerous objections. She also takes care of the other party members, encouraging Rydia when she is frightened and forgiving Kain without hesitation.
Cecil of the Red Wings is many things... But he is no coward. Not the Cecil who I love...
Kain is a calm, sometimes sarcastic young man, driven by his dream of following his father's footsteps of becoming a Dragoon and shunning the King of Baron's wish for Kain to follow Cecil's profession of a Dark Knight. Kain's personality changes when he is possessed by Golbez, becoming cold towards Cecil, though his love for Rosa still shows. Once freed from Golbez's control, Kain is forgiven by Cecil and vows to atone for his past actions, a promise that carries over into The After Years, as he tries to vanquish his dark side and helps Cecil's son Ceodore.
Forgive me, Rosa... not all I've done was because of Golbez's spell. I just wanted to... I just wanted to keep you by my side.
Taciturn, humble and polite, yet fiercely protective, Yang dislikes hurting others or involving them in dangerous situations, but is always grateful for assistance. His high standing in Fabul means that he has garnered much respect, and the only person he appears to quail before the might of is his own wife.
Fortune favors us indeed.
