About Jess McDonald

Jess McDonald is a non-union, freelance voice actor with a wide range of voices, from villainous brutes, to energetic announcers, all the way to a warm commercial narrator.

Despite having a natural stutter, he has worked on his craft since 2019; training with Closing Credits instructor Brendan Hunter (DragonBall, DragonBall GT, Hunter x Hunter), John Wang (the highly viral SpongeBob SquarePants anime), June Yoon (Brawlhalla, Genshin Impact, The Legend of Hei), Deb Munro (DragonBall, DragonBall GT, Gundarr), as well as outside workshops with voice actors like Rachael Messer (My Hero Academia, Goblin Slayer, Borderlands 3).

As important as his work is, he values communication and professionalism with his clients above all else.

Recommendations
  • @koala-bear-workshop

Jess voiced a small role in one of my audio dramas. Even though it's a small role I'm definitely looking forward to their future auditions and the roles they'll get.

  • @jfofficial

    Timely and Professional!

I would highly recommend them just for their professionalism alone. Very open to directive feedback and responds to any concerns you have quickly. 10/10 would work with them again!

  • @koala-bear-workshop

Since voicing a small role in one of my audio dramas Jess has grown so much in a few months when I had another casting call open.
I casted him again and he knocked it out of the park. He is constantly improving his skill and I cannot recommend enough. Good audio quality and a fast turnaround time.
Cannot wait to work him him again.

  • @The-Jamco

Jess provides voiceover work for a character in my FWZ show as Don Leo Heaton.

Jess always provides me with my lines in a timely manner, and always brings a gritty southern vibe to the voice of the character. He's also a top lad!

Thank you Jess for your time and energy :)
