Fallout New Vegas mod: Lights, Camera... Anarchy

Fallout New Vegas mod: Lights, Camera... Anarchy

Project Overview

Calling all voice actors! Lights, Camera... Anarchy is a tongue-in cheek, story-driven quest mod for Fallout: New Vegas.

You play alongside a desperate film crew attempting to shoot the long-delayed second season of a post-apocalyptic drama. But with fire geckos on set, cast fall outs, and a director hell-bent on turning fiction into full-blown war, it’s clear: this is no ordinary production.

I'm looking for talented voice actors to bring this eccentric cast to life — from the calculated director and stressed-out producer, to delusional extras, ghoulish performers, and a method actress who's in too deep.

This project was sparked by seeing leaked set photos from season 2 of the Fallout TV show, which got me thinking — what would it actually take to make a TV show in the Mojave wasteland? To be clear: this is an original fan-made story with entirely new characters.

This is a passion project and entirely non-commercial, so the process will be relaxed and low-pressure. I really appreciate anyone giving up their time to be involved — and of course, you’ll be fully credited when the mod is released publicly.

The script contains some profanity, but otherwise avoids NSFW content.

If you’ve got any questions, about the characters or the Fallout universe feel free to ask below.

I hope you have fun auditioning. Feel free to audition for multiple roles. I can't wait to hear what you come up with!

  • Thank you everyone!

I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to audition, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the response. I never imagined hitting 100 submissions, let alone 140!

I listened to every single audition, many of them 10 times over. You’re an incredibly talented bunch, which made casting tough… but what a privilege!

Sharing something you’ve created with the world is always a big moment, and hearing you bring my characters to life is the best feeling.

So once again, thank you. Whether voice acting is a fun hobby or part of your dream career, I wish you every success in the future.

Role assigned to: adasteVA

Profile: The Producer is the person holding the chaos together. They believe in the project — maybe even the director — but they’re the one who deals with cast fights, NCR permits, and last-minute replacements. They care deeply about making something meaningful, but are constantly cleaning up after everyone else’s mess. Cynical but not cold.

Voice type: Grounded, quick-witted, overworked. The “fixer” of the operation.

Vocal traits: Tired but sharp. Thinks faster than they speak. Speaks in sighs, shrugs, and dry remarks.

Key notes:

  • Sarcasm is a shield — this character uses humour to cope with stress.
  • Voice should feel real, grounded. They’re tired of nonsense but too involved to walk away.
  • Able to deliver both dry humour and heartfelt conviction when the script calls for it.

Number of lines: ~ 135

Line prompts:

  1. [The courier arrives at a chaotic scene: fires burn, extras flee, and crew members scream. Amid it all, one man stands his ground — clearly stressed, but relieved to see someone calm. He launches into a rant, barely keeping it together. ]

    previous line: n/a

  2. [The producer is negotiating with an NCR soldier at Hoover Dam. The crew has no permit, and he's scrambling to justify their presence. He's desperate, but quick thinking.]

previous line: Lieutenant Smith - For the last time, no! We’re not letting a bunch of drifters set up cameras here.

  3. [The courier sided with the director. The peace summit never happened. The Great Khans attacked, and the NCR wiped them out. Now, the producer limps over to the player, emotionally broken, feeling like the courier betrayed them.]

previous line: Courier - It's over now.

  • Oh, thank god - someone who isn’t screaming or on fire! Unless… are you an actor? Please say no. If I have to deal with one more inflated ego I swear I'm pulling the plug on this whole production.

  • Okay, okay - just hear me out. This isn’t just some low-budget flick, alright? This could make history. We capture the heroism of the NCR, the struggle, the triumph - imagine how many recruits sign up after seeing that!

  • Is it? NCR’s already cleaning up the bodies. The Great Khans won’t forget this, and neither will the Mojave. You think stories just end? This unravels years of progress. And for what?

Role assigned to: GD Kalmbach

Profile: A self-proclaimed visionary, the director believes he's not just filming a story — he's shaping the Mojave’s future. Once a filmmaker, now a manipulator of truth and power, he sees real chaos as the ultimate art form. He’ll say anything to get what he wants, framing war as performance, death as drama, and loyalty as a script rewrite away. He can be charming, disarming, and dangerous — sometimes all in the same sentence.

Voice type: Smooth, charismatic, commanding. Speaks like he’s always one step ahead — theatrical, but calculated.

Vocal traits: Confident, persuasive, passionate with an edge of obsession. Moments of calm clarity that tip into controlled mania. Booming voice when excited like Brian Blessed, or Matt Berry.

Key notes:

  • Must be able to shift from faux-friendly to sinister without sounding cartoonish.

  • He’s not mad, he’s right — in his mind, anyway.

  • Delivers philosophical monologues and threats with the same calm clarity.

Number of lines: ~ 70

Line prompts:

  1. [The director is posing — poorly — as a Fiend leader in an isolated scout camp. He’s roped some gullible members into believing him and tied up the real leader. When the courier arrives, he doubles down, embellishing an obviously fake story. He’s over-the-top and far too pleased with himself.]

previous line: Byron Hawthorne - As I clearly explained to these fine gentlemen, Cook-Cook himself personally entrusted me with this task.

  2. [The courier clears out a horde of feral ghouls inside a ruined military bunker. The director charges in after the gunfire stops, breathless and swept up in the spectacle. He's euphoric and sees only the cinematic potential.]

    previous line: n/a

  3. [The director has allied with the Great Khans to provoke a battle at Hoover Dam. He arranged a hit on the player and can be directly called out. There’s a quiet menace to him now — the showman mask slips, but his conviction is intact.]

previous line: Courier - You tried to have me killed.

  • Their so-called leader here has been getting awfully cozy with the NCR - trading information for Jet. It’s a disgrace! A scandal! A betrayal of the highest order!

  • You're alive! We heard the shooting stop, and at that moment, it could only mean one of two things - you’d triumphed, or you’d fallen. It was like the final act of a thriller, the tension unbearable.

  • {chuckles} That’s quite an accusation. And what proof do you have? People don’t always appreciate the work of a visionary. Sometimes, drastic measures are necessary. {shrugs} And yet - here you are.

Role assigned to: Ember Rae

Profile: Clara is a veteran of the stage, and she knows it. She’s got talent, she’s got attitude, and she’s got opinions. She’s been through bad scripts, worse co-stars, and now a post-apocalyptic film shoot with no budget. But despite it all, she wants the performance to mean something. She’s here for the art… even if it’s spiralling into madness.

Voice type: Professional, passionate, dramatic flair.

Vocal traits: Speaks with polish — rehearsed but sincere. Occasionally slips into exaggerated “actor voice,” especially when irritated or stressed.

Key notes:

  • Needs to balance theatrical delivery with genuine emotion.

  • Frustrated but not fragile — she’s tough and quick to call out nonsense.

  • She plays herself and takes on the role of Captain Royce.

Number of lines: ~ 40

Line prompts:

  1. [The courier fights their way through yao guai in a cavern to find Clara stranded on a rock. Rather than grateful, she’s livid. She was deep in character, "channeling helplessness," and the courier just ruined her scene.]

    previous line: n/a

  2. [Clara is acting in a scene opposite the courier. They are both NCR soldiers, in an over the top action movie sequence. Line should be read over dramatized, like a budget B movie.]

previous line: Courier - We set up a choke point. They’ll have to come through that door.

  3. [The peace summit is falling apart. Tensions are sky-high. Clara jumps into the role of Captain Royce one last time — but this time, she’s not acting. She delivers an impassioned speech to calm the crowd and inspire unity, blending performance with real belief.]

previous line: Clara Monroe - The Republic is willing to discuss the future of the Mojave… so long as order is maintained!

  • Good. Let them try. We’ll give them a welcome they won’t forget.

  • The Mojave was built on conflict. But maybe, just maybe, it can be built on something else. If a bunch of killers, drifters, and mutants can share a stage - what’s stopping the rest of the wasteland?

Role assigned to: yyasso

Profile: Once in command of two Fiend scouts, now bound and beaten after the director conned his way into the camp. The prisoner’s pride is shattered, but his will isn’t. He’s spitting mad, deeply humiliated, and desperate to expose the fraud before it’s too late.

Voice type: Grizzled, angry. Has taken some hits but still defiant.

Vocal traits: Harsh, gravelly edge — like someone who’s shouted themselves hoarse. Speaks in bursts, like he's holding back rage with every word.

Key notes:

  • A venomous growl to his lines — he’s barely holding back fury.

  • His insults should land like punches; lots of heat, no polish.

  • This role kicks off combat

Number of lines: 5

Line prompts:

  1. [He’s been tied up by a lunatic in a suit who’s taken over his Fiend outpost. He’s clearly not an idiot, and he knows something’s wrong. Despite being restrained, he’s defiant.]

previous line: Byron Hawthorne - Him?... {Pfft!} A nobody! A traitor, if you must know! Pay him no mind, and we shall get along famously.

  2. [In the same conversation, the dialogue starts to break down and can go one of three ways. This is one way.]

previous line: Byron Hawthorne - {scoffs} Fellas, must a man always dress in filth? Is style now a crime? This insubordination will not go unpunished! Wait till I tell Motor-Walker about this - he’ll have your head!

Role assigned to: kairuExplores

Profile: Once a regular guy, now a ghoul cast as a “feral” for a wasteland film project. Cheddar is bitter about the world’s perception of ghouls and deeply unimpressed with being treated like a freak. He’s got a temper but is no mindless brute — he wants to be seen as a person, not a prop. His trust is hard to earn, but once it’s there, it’s real.

Voice type: Ghoul. Gravelly, worn down, low-to-mid pitch. Dry and cynical but with moments of surprising sincerity.

Vocal traits: Raspy voice typical of ghouls, but Cheddar has more control — his sarcasm is sharper than his claws.

Key notes:

  • Needs a classic ghoul rasp but with emotional nuance.

  • Sarcasm and defiance are key — his lines often carry bite.

  • Eager and passionate

Number of lines: 24 (6 lines are for generic ghoul actors)

Line prompts:

  1. [the courier has located Cheddar and his friends in Freeside. It's the courier's task to recruit them for the show. He’s disappointed, insulted, and trying not to lose it. His tone is biting, sarcastic, but there’s real hurt beneath it.]

previous line: Courier - It’s physical work. Think less dialogue, more... snarling menace.

  2. [Back in the bunker the courier overhears an argument between the producer and Cheddar. The producer wants Cheddar to wear a ghoul mask. Cheddar’s reached boiling point. He was promised authenticity — now he’s being hidden. He’s defiant, voice raised but still sharp, not unhinged.]

previous line: Danny Benton - It’s just a touch of movie magic! You three look great, but we need to sell it to the audience! The masks help with the realism.

  3. [During the scene Cheddar is about to get his big break, and delivers an impressive feral impression (which uses the vanilla sound effect), he then gets shot by ambushing Fiends. He's in shock.]

Lieutenant Smith

Role assigned to: Reddos

Profile: Lieutenant Smith is the NCR soldier who blocks access to the Hoover Dam for the film crew. He’s not rude, but firm, and believes his orders and military priorities come before any “artistic vision.” He’s loyal to the NCR, but not deluded — he’ll bend for the right offer. He doesn’t want a scandal on his watch, but he’s no hero.

Voice type: Stern, no-nonsense. Unimpressed and slightly overworked.

Vocal traits: Dismissive and authoritative. Speaks in clipped military brevity. Not fond of artists or idealists

Key notes:

  • Military authority — short, direct lines. No dramatic flair.

  • Slight dryness in tone — he’s had enough of showbiz types.

  • Bribe-related lines should feel reluctant but inevitable.

Number of lines: 12

Line prompts:

  1. [The courier has the chance to try and convince Lieutenant Smith that the crew should film at the dam. With a low speech skill the courier fails to get through to Smith. He's rightly annoyed.]

previous line: Courier - Uh… well… wouldn’t it be kinda cool? You know, people seeing the NCR looking all heroic and stuff? Maybe even with some dramatic music?

  2. [The courier has the chance to try and convince Lieutenant Smith that the crew should film at the dam. There is a bribe option, which Smith is open to, but he's cautious about being overheard.]

previous line: Courier - Surely there's a form I can fill out? Or a few caps I can slide under it?

  3. [The courier has the chance to try and convince Lieutenant Smith that the crew should film at the dam. With a high enough speech skill the courier can at least get a meeting with his superior.]

Role assigned to: Terra

Profile: Coe is the final decision-maker on whether the crew can film at Hoover Dam. She’s not unreasonable, but her patience is thin. She’s had her fill of grandstanding men and flashy nonsense — she wants results, not spectacle. But beneath her discipline is someone who truly wants peace. If the Courier proves the vision is worth it, she’ll play along.

Voice type: Calm, experienced. Measured and pragmatic.

Vocal traits: Polished NCR command voice — formal but not stiff. Carries weight with minimal effort.

Key notes:

  • Keeps a cool head — rarely raises her voice.
  • Slight weariness behind the confidence; she’s seen too much.
  • Her final scene with the Khans should carry wary hope.

Number of lines: 16

Line prompts:

  1. [the courier, producer and director have worn Captain Coe down and she agrees to let them film at the dam]

    previous line: n/a

  2. [an unexpected group of people have turned up to the peace summit. In an attempt to control the situation Captain Coe fires her gun in the air and shouts to the crowd in a firm, but controlled way]

  3. [at the peace summit Captain Coe is reading lines from a script that's just been put in front of her. She finds the whole thing very awkward, but feels pressured to play along in front of the cameras. She's acting out a scene with the Great Khan Warrior]

Profile: Posted outside the cave where the producer’s imprisoned, this guard has one job and no motivation. He knows Razor the attack dog is a better deterrent than anything he could say. Not openly hostile — just enjoys the idea of the Courier getting torn up. He’s the embodiment of “don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Voice type: Sarcastic, dry. Loyal but disillusioned.

Vocal traits: Speaks like they’ve seen it all and couldn’t care less.

Key notes:

  • Casual menace — sounds like someone betting on your failure.

  • Smug without being aggressive.

  • Delivers lines with a shrug — it’s your funeral, not his.

Number of lines: 8

Line prompts:

  1. [the courier has made their way to Red Rock Canyon in search of the director and producer. Their search has led them to a cave being guarded by a Great Khan member. He's not great at his job and is quite dismissive]

    previous line: n/a

  2. [The courier can tease more information out of the guard if they're liked by the Great Khans. He has been sold the vision of a Great Khan victory.]

previous line: Courier - Come on, I’m one of you. I know when someone’s hiding something.

He’s cautious but not cowardly, and will stand his ground even if peace means swallowing some pride. His performance opposite Captain Coe may be staged, but his people’s future is not.

Voice type: Proud, commanding. Sharp, battle-worn.

Vocal traits: Gritty, Mojave native, with firm articulation. Doesn’t waste words.

Key notes:

  • Commanding presence — low but forceful delivery.
  • Sharp edges to his tone, even when playing along.
  • Needs to sell both scepticism and reluctant diplomacy.

Number of lines:9

Line prompts:

  1. [the courier discovers the director talking with the Khan leader. The Khan leader is rightly sceptical about an assault on the dam. He knows it's suicide for him and his men.]

previous line: Byron Hawthorne - Your people, taking back what’s yours. And we’ll be right there - capturing every second. Once the world sees this, no one will ever question the Great Khans again.

Voice type: Calm, cool, deadly.

Vocal traits: Low-pitched and measured. Speaks like someone who doesn't need to raise their voice to be taken seriously. Has that signature NCR veteran steadiness.

Key notes:

  • Sounds like someone who’s seen action, but doesn’t brag about it.

  • Delivers warnings with a sense of finality.

  • Calm under pressure — never shouts, but commands the scene.
