Fallout New Vegas mod: Lights, Camera... Anarchy
Carsona-Dubs for Lieutenant Smith
Profile: Lieutenant Smith is the NCR soldier who blocks access to the Hoover Dam for the film crew. He’s not rude, but firm, and believes his orders and military priorities come before any “artistic vision.” He’s loyal to the NCR, but not deluded — he’ll bend for the right offer. He doesn’t want a scandal on his watch, but he’s no hero.
Voice type: Stern, no-nonsense. Unimpressed and slightly overworked.
Vocal traits: Dismissive and authoritative. Speaks in clipped military brevity. Not fond of artists or idealists
Key notes:
Military authority — short, direct lines. No dramatic flair.
Slight dryness in tone — he’s had enough of showbiz types.
Bribe-related lines should feel reluctant but inevitable.
Number of lines: 12
Line prompts:
- [The courier has the chance to try and convince Lieutenant Smith that the crew should film at the dam. With a low speech skill the courier fails to get through to Smith. He's rightly annoyed.]
previous line: Courier - Uh… well… wouldn’t it be kinda cool? You know, people seeing the NCR looking all heroic and stuff? Maybe even with some dramatic music? - [The courier has the chance to try and convince Lieutenant Smith that the crew should film at the dam. There is a bribe option, which Smith is open to, but he's cautious about being overheard.]
previous line: Courier - Surely there's a form I can fill out? Or a few caps I can slide under it? - [The courier has the chance to try and convince Lieutenant Smith that the crew should film at the dam. With a high enough speech skill the courier can at least get a meeting with his superior.]
previous line: Courier - You’re right - this isn’t about morale. It’s about control. Letting us film means you control the message, on your terms. Better us than someone else twisting the story, right?

Are you serious? This is Hoover Dam, not some goddamn stage play. We don’t need ‘cool,’ we need discipline and security. Get lost before I have you thrown out.
Not so loud. To keep everything above board, how about we call it a media permit? 1000 caps.
Fine. But look, it’s not my call. You three - come with me. You’re gonna have to take this up with my superior.
