ROUND 3!
Round 3 has begun! Will be adding even more roles to this round much later, as there may need to be some recasting for some far older roles.
ROUND 1 - CASTING CALL
This project is a story mod for Fallout: New Vegas. What is a mod? A mod a change or alteration made to a game by players or third-party developers, often enhancing gameplay, fixing bugs, or adding new content, features, or experiences.
In this case, it's a whole new story DLC added to the game with over 100 different characters.
THE STORY:
Come Wander With Me is a story-driven expansion set in the remote wilderness of Wolf Creek, a forested valley far removed from the Mojave. What begins as a journey to help two kids reunite with their estranged family in an unfamiliar region quickly turns into something far more unsettling, as the player becomes entangled in a place where people vanish, truth is buried, and the land itself seems to be watching.
At the heart of the story is a quiet; an isolated settlement in a florally lush enviroment struggling to survive against forces it barely understands. By day, Wolf Creek appears peaceful sort of town. A place so tranquil, it seems almost impossible for it to exist. By night, however, something else moves through the trees. Creatures known as the Chindi own the night, bluring the lines between life and death.
Meanwhile, a group of cult-like survivalist raiders are chasing after the player, in search of the two children in their care. They are ruthless, cruel, animalistic, and show no mercy.

THE LORE - (FACTIONS):
Wolf Creek Village
Fifteen years ago, Hershel Scott led a group of refugees from out of the Caesar's Legion conquered lands of Two-Sun to find a safer place to settle. They would discover the Valley of Wolf Creek and settle in two locations. One was an old farmstead, the other was an old Residential Park that would become known as The Town of Wolf Creek. Everyone knows something is wrong. No one agrees how bad it is. No one wants to be the first to say it out loud.
Kinkade Farm
Originally a part of the refugee group led by hershel Scott that would escape Legion conquered lands, Allistair Kinkade would take over the farmstead and make it his own personal mansion and plantation. Over the years, the Kinkade family grew pompous and arrogant with their newfound property and wealth, seeing themselves as better than the Wolf Creek settlers they were once a part of. Friends became enemies, and the only interaction the two settlements would have would be the trade of food for pelts, meat, and medicines. As the farm became flush, they demanded more from the Wolf Creek Settlers, then ceased trade altogether without a word as to why.
The Pack
Once known as The Wolves, this group began as a band of idealistic freedom fighters within Legion-controlled territory. Defeated and brutalized by the legion, the remnants became a shadow of their former selves. With their new leader, a man simply known as Crawford, they would become a group of violent, merciless, cult-like raiders that sought the downfall of civilization and harbor a desire to end the world all over again. They are brutal, psychotic, and loyal to their leader to a fault.
The Lost Tribe
The Lost Tribe were a small, isolated group of tribal people, descendants of the Navajo, who settled in the Wolf Creek valley a century after the great war. They lived in harmony with the forest and valley, following ancient customs, oral traditions, and spiritual practices passed down through generations. They would come to worship the race of creatures known to them as the Yee Naaaldlooshii.
The Yee Naaldlooshii
The Yee Naaldlooshi are a reclusive and enigmatic race of creatures, originating as genetic experiments in the pre-war REPCONN testing facilities. Highly intelligent, telepathic, and capable of sophisticated social organization, they escaped the labs over 200 years ago and fled into the isolated forests of what would become Wolf Creek.
The Cartographers
Cartographers that are independent contractors from the New California Republic, composed of skilled map-makers, scouts, and mercenary-style security personnel tasked with exploring and charting unclaimed or dangerous territory.

I am currently looking for voice actresses and actors with at least a Blue Yeti mic, a fair amount of voice acting or real life acting experience, a pop filter, the ability to name files correctly based on information from either a Spreadsheet or a Google Doc, and the ability to do basic audio processing. Round 3 has begun! Will be adding even more roles to this round much later, as there may need to be some recasting for some far older roles.
Role: Traveling Merchant
Faction: Unknown
Age: Unknown
Former Life: Lost Tribe Shaman
Family: N/A
John walker is a traveling merchant and Doctor that the player can run into in their journey. He often appears in places the player might find themselves in to offer supplies and cryptic advice. It is heavily implied that he might possibly be a ghost or spirit. It is also implied that he was once a part of the lost tribe as a shaman. While mysterious, he balances that with a warm kindness that is usually unseen in the wasteland.
Come. Sit by the fire. Rest your feet.
The road ahead is one not frequented, and for good reason. For that, I would suggest a cautious fervor in your step and a steady amount of supplies.
I'll offer what I can. Be sure to take with you whatever you can on your acsencion, my friend.
Role: Town Handyman
Faction: Wolf Creek Settlement
Age: 42
Former Life: Wasteland Mechanic / Scrapper
The easily angered, but incredibly intelligent handy-man of Wolf Creek, who is responsible for many of the town's walls and defenses. His temper flares fast and hard, especially when people downplay danger. He does not tolerate complacency, indecision, or anyone who treats Wolf Creek like it’s safe. He cares deeply for the safety of his only son, above all else. He’s not afraid to kill any perceived threats.
No, no, no; don’t tell me it’s ‘fine!’ You didn’t check the supports, you didn’t check the welds, and now look at this shit! You know how hard it is to find salvage out here?! This is just fucking molten slag now. Get the fuck out of here. Find a corner to piss yourself in for all I care. The real men are working now.
My kid sleeps behind those walls. So if you think I’m overreacting, you can sleep the fuck outside and take the whiney shithead with you.
Just... stay out of my way! I’ve got work to do.
Role: Town Kid / Apprentice Scout
Faction: Wolf Creek Settlement
Age: 12
Tim is quiet, observant, and smart. Unfortunately, he’s also the victim of a lot of relentless bullying from the neighborhood bully, Sean. He fears the player, obeying his fathers wishes to not go anywhere near you or talk to you. He idolizes Weston, wanting to be just like him.
M-my dad says if something looks wrong, it probably is. So...
My dad said I’m not supposed to talk to you. Or go near you. So… I’m not.
(Clear he's slightly bothered by the bullying) It’s fine. He just… talks like that. Sticks and Stones. Doesn’t mean anything.
A farmhand working on Kinkade Ranch that suffers from Type 1 Diabetes. His sister has been taking care of him, but now that they're out of insulin, he's ready to give up. He is a friendly and caring man that doesn't want anyone to help him, as he doesn't want anyone to put themselves in danger for his benefit. Low sense of self-worth, but genuinuely a good person.
No specific voice or delivery in mind for this character. Feel free to give your best interpretation.
Don't think I've seen you around here before. I'm Diego. You new? We haven't been letting new people in for years now.
I heard you talking to my sister. Don't do this. People are going to die looking for something that doesn't exist. I don't need that guilt on me before I go.
Just don't bother yourself with it. We'll be fine. The both of us. We'll make due.
Sophia Silva is the overprotective sister to Diego, willing to risk life and limb for him. She's overly emotional, under-experienced, but carries a lot of practical medical knowledge.
Like her brother, she is a kind and caring soul, but actually knows her own worth. When it comes to her brothers health, however, she is willing to risk anything and anyone.
I'm not going to just give up. If Eli doesn't come back I'll go myself. There has to be something left. A clinic, a hospital, an old pharmacy, Something!
Kinkade is selfish and cruel. Cares more for his own kin than the people who helped make this place. He was willing to let my brother die. But it is the only place that's safe to live. We wouldn't have survived out there if they had not taken us in.
My family and I came from a Vault. Vault 24. We lived there for many years... until the legion came. The Council of Overseers let them in... and they destroyed everything.
Suave mercenary and raider so sweetly refered to as the Gentleman Jackass. Reed was a refugee from Caesar's legion and a more recent recruit intot he raider faction known as The Pack. He isn't afraid to play both sides to his benefit.
RJ Reed, at your service. Old friend of Allistair. Called me up over the radio when things got heated and I rushed right over. Been watching the folks here for a while.
I'm usually on the road. I came here with him and Hershel years back. Never was one to settle, but Allistair always treated me right.
You don't have to like it. You just to follow your bosses orders, like a good little doggie. You got that?
Dawn Church, usually refered to as Church, is the family cook for Kinkade Farm, constantly toiling away in the kitchen. She's a very odd sort of person that enjoys spending most of her time cooking and experimenting with different types of recipies.
Absolutely obsessed with the culinary arts and will often bake the player a sweetroll if you get on her good side. She's sometimes refered to as church mouse, as she is a very small and petite body.Despite this, she has a very loud and eccentric personality, so perhaps the nickname is ironic.
(OPTIONAL) This isn't a requirement, but I think it might be fun to try and give her a french accent, just to see what it would sound like. If you do decide to do this, do a normal take as well. In universe lore, we can just say she's faking the accent to mimic a pre-war french culinary genius.
Oh! Hello there. Sorry, I didn't hear you come in. The bread was being difficult. Welcome to my kitchen, new friend. I am Church. Mind your step, there's flour everywhere.
Did you know there are fifty-three different ways to prepare corn? Because I do. Against my will. There is very little else to cook with but corn! Corn bread, corn pie, corn soup. It's maddning! I had a dream once where someone brought me a tomato. I woke up crying.
You arrive at a perfect moment, yes? The masterpiece is nearly complete. Please, do not touch anything. Everything is balanced with delicate precision.
Sam is a guard at the Kinkade Farm Settlement. He's a very go along to get along type of person who often avoids conflict at any turn. He's a very kind and smart man, who has an affinity for guns. He often hunts out in the woods with his good friend. A good friend that mysteriously died recently.
A firearm's a tool. Same as a hammer or a shovel. Treat it right and it'll take care of you.
Ah, I'm just lucky to be here. Kinkade treats us alright. I hear a couple folks complain, and I get it. it's not easy working the fields all day and night. Someone's gotta do it though.
I figure most people are doing the best they can. Henry? He was my friend. Could he be rude sometimes? Sure. You want the truth, he was just lonely. Had trouble coping with that I guess.
Role: Hunter / Scout / Security
Faction: Wolf Creek Settlement
Age: Early 30s
Former Life: Arizona Refugee, Caravaneer
Family: None known
Personality:
Brad is a charming, stoic, and optimistic sort. He’s a man who prides himself on doing the right thing and being “the hero”, knowing the most about the dangers of Wolf Creek. He’s the most grounded and morally righteous member of town, willing to do anything to protect the people he cares about. Despite this, he is currently being unfaithful to his loyal girlfriend, adding a bit of hypocrisy to his character.
Looking for a cowboy type of performance.
Hey there, sorry I uh... got a little overzealous with my hunting rifle when you came up on the town. Can't be too careful. I'm Brad. Nice to meet you.
I came here with Hershel's Group a about ten years ago. Most of us did. Legion ran us out of our homes. In our escape we found this place.
Stay back! I don't know who you are stranger, but you best put those guns down right now! So help me god!
Martin Scheidt is deeply devoted to education, believing knowledge is the single force that separates civilization from barbarism. He once served in the quasi-religious technocratic military order known as the Brotherhood of Steel as a scribe. When given the chance when he became of age, he left to find his own path. He refers to the brotherhood as something distasteful and dysfunctional; seeing them as too isolated for their own good. He wanted to use the knowledge he had to help people rather than hoard it away from the public. He is polite, soft-spoken, and intense in a way that can make people uncomfortable. He talks down to most people, especially those who believe in tribal customs or mythology. He has a fascination with philosophy and logic. He wants to erase myths, legends, and elements of tribal culture; as he believes they are harming the town of Wolf Creek.
Not looking for anything specific, just throw me a voice and see what sticks here.
I want to live in a world governed by truth. Most people go their entire lives without examining a single belief they hold. They inherit ideas the way they inherit eye color.
Ah, I see you've heard of our local legends then. A testament to man's ignorance. Vague stories of spirits and gods plague the minds of these people. We'd be much farther along without them.
Ah, forgive me. You perhaps envision a world dominated by violence, painted with the blood and sinew of many a fallen victim of malice and a false sense of "duty" or "piety". I pity you.
Role: Second-in-Command / Enforcer
Faction: The Pack
Age: Mid-30s
Former Life:Child of Former Wolf Militia Member
Alpha is the silent, stoic second-in-command of The Pack, a disciplined and calculating figure who enforces Crawford’s will without question. Scarred and imposing, he commands respect through competence rather than fear alone, earning the loyalty of raiders through skill and decisiveness. Loyal to Crawford to a fault, Alpha serves as the bridge between the old man’s obsessive vision and the rest of the Pack, ensuring the group’s cohesion, survival, and brutal efficiency in the wasteland while quietly weighing the cost of their fanaticism. He is set to become the next leader of the faction. Serves as one of the stories secondary antagonists.
You think we're monsters? Every single human being is a monster. We just don't hide it. We accept it.
The bombs were a sign. The universe was telling us our time was up. We didn't listen. The bill is past due. We plan to set it all right. Wipe the slate clean.
It's these pathetic ways of old, this idea of civilization that so many so hopelessly cling to. It's a trap. We're animals. Animals don't belong in cages. We are freeing you.
Role:Farmhand
Faction: Kinkade Farm
Age: 32
Former Life: Arizona Refugee
A former Wolf Creek resident that left to live on Kinkade's Farm. She's a vendor for food supplies, often offering a friendly yet somewhat distant demeanor. She knows that life on the farm isn't the greatest, but acknowledges is far better than the alternative.
It's safe from all the stuff slinking around those woods at night. That's all I care about. You know people have gone missing out there. Kinkade runs a tight ship. It's... a lot at times, but we take care of each other. Nothing we can't handle.
I'm not much of an explorer. I look out into those woods beyond the fence, and I just shiver.
Don't get me wrong, I think Hershel is a good man... or at least was when I knew him, but that place just isn't safe.
A translator for the Rao Tianshi tribe of Junction City. Once a famous explorer, he settled down with the Tianshi tribe and became a part of their family. He is fiercely defensive of them, willing to put his life on the line for their prosperity.
Want him to have a British Accent.
I’ve seen mountains the sky itself seemed afraid to touch, deserts that devoured men whole... and yet, who knew that here... I'd find my greatest adventure.
Do not mistake their mercy for weakness as the Legion has. A wound Tian's trust is a wound that will only continue to fester.
You'd be wise not to get involved in the conflict here. These invaders are our problem and ours alone.
Role: Hunter/Town Security.
Faction: Wolf Creek Settlement
Age: 40
Former Life: Arizona Refugee, Photographer
Colin is the emotional backbone of Wolf Creek. Patient, soft-spoken, and deeply dependable. Where others deny, rage, or retreat, Colin endures. He doesn’t raise his voice. He doesn’t make speeches. He simply shows up when things need doing. He carries grief quietly and refuses to let it harden him; putting aside his old hobby's to provide for his family and town.
Looking for someone in their mid 30's/40's to pull off a compasionate, yet authoratative fatherly voice.
You did right bringing them here. Name’s Colin Blackwell, welcome to Wolf Creek. Let’s get off the bridge before someone else gets jumpy.
{Pulls a gun on the player} Who are you? {a beat} You walked those kids across the Mojave. You didn’t sell them. You didn’t leave them. That got you through the door, but if you think for one minute that that buys my trust...
There's a couch in the office that folds out into a bed. You're welcome to that for the night.

C’mon, we’re not just gonna stand here, right? Something went down that hole and I wanna see what it is!
He didn’t "disappear." People don’t just disappear. He left. That’s what people do.
I don’t need someone watching me all the time. I can take care of myself, you know.

She prefers machines to people, however, and despite her motor-mouth, she often keeps to herself in her own home. She fears crowds, and has anxiety about being seen as useless.
Woah, hey, new face! What are you doing in my house? Are their balloons taped to my mailbox again? That wasn't funny the first time. Seriously, I didn't even hear you knock, that's kind of rude. I mean, I'll forgive you, but it's kind of a weird thing to do, you know? Well, anyway, nice to meet you I guess. I'm Willow, this is my house that you're in. You want something to drink? Glass of juice? Water?
Hey, can you dance? I am SUPER good at dancing? Want to see? {Starts tap-dancing} Ha-cha-cha! Ha-cha-cha-cha! {Finishes with a little flair} Okay, that's all your getting. What? Don't look at me like that! Yeah, I took tap-dancing lessons. What of it?
(The player gives a bad pickup line){Bursts out laughing}Stop, stop, you're going to make me puke! Hahaha! That was so terrible! Oh my god! You were joking, right? That was a joke? Dude, oh my god.
Role: Guard/Hunter

Austin’s a laid back hunter that guards the back gate of Wolf Creek, having a very “whatever happens, happens bro” attitude. He dies pretty early, but gives the player a flare-gun to deal with the Chindi.
Hey, you're that guy who showed up with those two kids. That's pretty cool. Welcome to Wolf Creek. I'm Austin.
What, Wolf Creek? It's alright, man. I mean, it beats the desert outside the valley. I remember what it's like out there. Totally bogus.
(Gives the Player a Flare Gun) Yeah, that ammo will go fast dude, so use it sparingly. Oh, and don't try loading shotgun shells into it. That's not gonna work how you think.
Role: Child
Faction: Wolf Creek Settlement

Hannah is quiet, wary, and observant, with an attachment to her past life and the stories passed onto her from her father. She has done as she can to piece together and preserve her old tribes' ancient mythology and culture from what little she remembers as a young child. At age 5, her parents were killed out in the forest. She believes it was the work of the old gods, the Yee Naaldlooshii, while the people of Wolf Creek believe it to be wolves. She is seen by the people of Wolf Creek as odd and creepy, often avoided. She chooses to sleep outside, and pretty much everyone has stopped trying to make her go inside.
Excuse me, could I trouble you for a bit of your time newcomer? I had heard that the old one had sent for you, and the reason, I sense, is due to our villages gradual calamity.
They are the ancient ones who wander beneath the shadows of darkness. The keepers of the woods. They are angry for our tresspass.
I know we were once a peaceful people... but that is all I remember. The Bull men took them all away... the forest devoured what remained. Except me. I was spared, and I know it must be for a reason. A reminder as to what happens when balance is interrupted.

Who are you and what the hell are you doing here? This is Private Property.
That's the job, sweetie. If you don't like it, you don't got to stick around. Now fuck off.
(CONTEXT: Player confronts him about his relationship with Kinakde's Daughter)(Fearful) It's nothing serious. I just gave her a backrub once... she uh... she's got a thing for me. It never went beyond that. I swear!

Leave me alone!
(pronounced: NAWT)
Age: 243
Faction: Yee Naaldlooshii
Gift: Can see all “alternate timelines”, but is also seizure prone and makes little sense.
Role: None. Makes sculptures of visions.
Naught is cryptic, erratic, and often incomprehensible to outsiders. Their mind constantly shifts between possible timelines, and suffers from brain damage due to his creators performing brain surgery on him and severing some connection between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Despite this, Naught is deeply creative, channeling glimpses of alternate realities into strange sculptures and visions that the pack treasures as guides or warnings. He is the kindest and most innocent of the group, as well as being the most verbose.
I see you return with light in your eyes. Very Good.
{Chuckles} You are a clever one. I like you. Clever humans. {Chuckles}
I like you. You know things. Humans should know more things like you. I do not remember who they were, but they wore coats of white and one had a funny little nose. It was only yesterday, or was it years ago...
(pronounced: NAH-dleh-heh)
Age: 257
Faction: Yee Naaldlooshii
Gift: Feels all physical pain of all the cubs.
Role: Breeder
Nádleehé is a quiet, almost mystical presence within the Yee Naaldlooshi pack. Thoughtful, deliberate, and fiercely protective of the young and vulnerable, they approach life with a measured calm. Unlike other members, they rarely involve themselves in direct combat unless the pack or its progeny are threatened.
You step lightly… but the earth still knows of you... and so do I.
When one suffers, I suffer. I feel it not as memory, but as now. Now and Forever. Should you harm them, I shall wreak their suffering upon you tenfold. This I promise.
You carry a pain that is everlasting. I can sense it. Odd...I have never felt such connection to one of your kind.{a beat}Take care of yourself. Please do.
A Yee-Naaldlooshii Scout with a spiritual connection to the nature of the valley.
Human. Welcome. You do not come alone. A guardian on your shoulder. Siha.
It is not the tongue that speaks. It is the mind. All of us are connected, but we are more so. To some of us, to touch a mind is as simple as reaching out.
We listen… we move with the mountain. We are intune with ourselves, and the land.
Role: Cartographer
Faction:The Cartographers
Age:27
Former Life:Mercenary/Map Maker
A map maker from New Reno that has a perpensity to be a verbose nuisance. He has a high opinion of himself and often makes rude sarcastic jokes at everyone's expense. He's the type that's all talk, with no substance.
Holy shit, can't belive my own goddamn eyes. Another motherfucker found hisself in mothernatures thick ass crotch bush. I'm Rodeski nice to meet ya.
Oh, you're one of those wasteland badasses. Well, sorry shithead. Forgive me for trying to have a nice normal fucking conversation.
Me? Hell, I'm the superstar around here. The genuine real thing! You see, most of these dipshits, they're just hired guns. But me? I'm the guy who makes the maps! And I'm damn good at it too. Hahaha. Don't let any of those other chumps tell you otherwise.
A traveling merchant that can be found in Legion Territory.
Hey there. Good to see a friendly face! At least one that isn't decked in Crimson or slave robes. I'm James. You interested in trade?
I'd stick around camp for now if you have any sense. The legion have the whole place under lockdown while they deal with the tribals in the city.
Look, I'm not involved in this conflict. I'm just a humble trader looking to get by. Don't lump all their stuff on me.
Human beings infected with a virus that created a deadly mutation. These creatures wander in the deep dark tunnels of the underground that feature the source of their infection. They are semi-aware that they are no longer in control of their body and plead for help in between their murderous screams. I want a performance that displays the pain and horror of this existance. Preferably a deep voice.
RRRRaaghhh! KILL ME!
(To Self) What happened to me...
(Monsterous Growls)
A chindi infected individual that has clumped together with other infected individuals. Now they are one single being. This is a creature that should always sound like it's in a perpetual state of vomiting and screaming out in pain.
(Idle Noises while approaching player)
(Gurggling, barely audible) Help me...
(Gurggling, hard to make out) Hurry... run...
Role: Gardener / Hunter-in-training
Faction: Wolf Creek Settlement
Age: 25
Former Life: Arizona refugee
Marcie is soft-spoken, observant, and kind by default, but not naïve. She tries to be friendly and sociable without forcing herself into the center of attention. Loud noises, raised voices, and crowds make her visibly uncomfortable; when overwhelmed, she withdraws rather than argues. She believes in being useful more than being liked. When food shortages hit Wolf Creek, she quietly started a garden instead of complaining. When the town needs help, she’s often the first to volunteer, not for praise, but she has an errant need to pull her weight.
(Has an extensive amount of lines)
Hmm? Oh, hi! I don't think we've actually met. I'm Marcie. You're the one who brought the Blackwell's niece and nephew from the Mojave, huh? Well, uh, welcome to Wolf Creek. I'm sure it's not as bustling as the Mojave is, but it's home.
I like to be logical person, but even I have to admit that sometimes there are forces beyond our understanding.
(Combat)You're done! You hear me? Done! Just walk away!
The source of the chindi infection. The creature doesn't speak, but I need someone to make its noises.
(Wheezing Breathe Idle)
(Slight gurggling mixed with crying)
(Pained Grunt)
A A.I that operates an abandoned Enclave Facility. Functionally, it's a glorified librarian that has become desperate for any connection, wishing only to be deactivated. It is slightly haywire, due to the chindi root growing into it's A.I core.
Welcome to Repconn Systems. How may I help you? How may I serve you? What can I get you? T.S Elliot? No, too drab. Henry James? No too depressing. Shakespear perhaps? No... too longwinded...
(Player: you're a ZAX?) What's left of one, yes. I am the first of a kind, and the last as well. Amongst these fragments I have shored against my ruins.
Indeed, but I am afraid the lending library is temporarily out of order. Not to worry. I have them all right here. Every page of every volume.
Role: Child
Faction: None
Age: 9
Charlotte, alongside her brother Alex, is one of the last survivors of a deadly raider attack. At the mere age of nine, she has already proven herself as a smart kid, being a wiz with mechanical devices (albiet on a smaller scale). Her father being a salvager and scraper, she knows her way around tinkering and solving problems. With the assumed death of her family, she remains naively optimistic, but rather calm and quiet.
Not looking for any specific voice, just someone who can pull off both a young sounding voice that has a bit of that tomboyish vibe.
