FAIRY TAIL: ABRIDGED REDUX — CASTING CALL
Hey everyone! LatinFire here once again, and I'm excited to announce that I'm officially casting for a new abridged series coming in January 2027 — or February 2027, depending on script completion.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Acting ability comes first.
Not specifically looking for impressions or impersonations of the original English/Japanese voice actors.
You don't need to sound exactly like the anime.
Make the character your own.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
• Please provide three takes of each audition line for every character you're auditioning for
• Clean, quality audio with no background noise, pops, peaking, excessive reverb, or dead space
• USB and XLR microphones are both acceptable as long as the recording is clean
• No phone or headset microphone submissions
• You should be comfortable performing swearing, coughing, crying, and other emotional direction when required
• Mono recording, 48 kHz preferred
Do not slate or say your name in the recording. Your name should already be included in the filename.

Voice Actor
Our main boy of the show. He’s loud, he’s reckless, and no property damage is too big for the guild when he’s out on missions. The power of fighting is his motto.
Vocals: Male (Medium)
Vocal Tones: BIG personality, natural comedy, reckless confidence, ability to become emotional without losing the tone and voice.

(Aloof, calmly tilting his head back in a chair) I don’t need plans. Plans just get in the way of punching people.
(Airheaded confidence. Like.. Imma poke it) I don't know what that thing does, but I'm pretty sure hitting it will make something happen.
(Serious, about to go into Fire Dragon mode, yelling) You can beat me up. You can knock me down. But you're not taking my friends away from me!
Voice Actor
Happy is an Exceed, a cat that can talk and has wings. Best friends and reckless enabler to Natsu.
Sarcasm is his power… and also flying.
Age: 12 (Voice can fluctuate for this role)

This character is supposed to be higher pitched, but not too squeaky.
Vocal Tone: Energetic, playful delivery, mischievous humor

Gray is complicated in all sorts of ways. While not happy with Natsu’s recklessness, he puts just as much damage as the pink haired idiot.

Vocal Tones: Deadpan sarcasm, understated affection, confidence, and genuine emotional weight.

(Talking about Natsu to Lucy) At this point, I'm not even surprised when Natsu does something stupid. I'm just impressed by how consistently he does it.
(Serious) I've lost people before. I'm not standing around and letting it happen again. First my parents, then my teacher, I am not losing the closest thing I have to a brother now.
(Scared of Erza’s wrath) Do you KNOW what that psychotic woman is capable of? I very much would like to keep my limbs intact.

The Strongest woman in Fairy Tail for a good reason. She is a tempest who doesn’t like to show herself being vulnerable, and becomes reckless in order to protect her guild and friends/family.

Vocal Tones: calm authority, controlled intimidation, precise delivery, ability to be terrifying without shouting.

(Serious, badass moment) Fairy Tail isn't held together by strength. It's held together because we refuse to abandon each other.
(Dry humor, menacing twinkle eye moment) Perhaps I should be getting my ears checked. You keep saying “Erza no,” but all I hear is “Erza yes”
Voice Actor
First Master of Fairy, our narrator for the series. She may look small and cute but her name is the Fairy Tactician for a reason. Kind of childish at times but she’s 17, trust us.
Voice: Female, Non-Binary (Medium)

Vocal Tones: Confidence and sincerity.

(Protective, casual conversation to Zeref) I may complain about them constantly, but they're my guild. If they're in danger, I'm going with them and protect everyone.
(Told you so tone) I told you this would happen. And you didn't listen. Maybe you should next time.

Zeref is on par with Mavis in terms of raw power, but may be a bit more…stupid than he looks.

One of the members of the Magic Council, Jellal is more than what he seems. He is cunning, blase, and genuinely intimidating when necessary.
Vocals: Male, Low-Medium
Vocal Accent: Spanish or Latin American
Vocal Tones: Calculating, cold, restraint in his voice, but not afraid to intimidate when necessary.

(Emotionally Detached) I don't care what happens to me anymore. If there's even one chance to protect the people I've hurt... then I'll take it. Even if I have to walk through hell to get there

Makarov is the parental figure for 3 generations of wizards and as such has developed… a general tone for dealing with these brats
Vocal Tone: Warm, grandfatherly presence. Able to get serious when needed but at the same time, can be quite playful

(Emotional) You don't have to be strong every day. You're family. And family doesn't get abandoned just because things get difficult
(Exasperated/Drunk) Every time I think this guild has finally learned some common sense, Natsu finds a new way to set something on fire.

Laxus is the grandson of Makarov and set in line to be the new guild master once the old man has retired and as such has a certain way he wants to see its success.

Vocal Tone: Deep authority, restraint, conviction, disappointment

(Sighing seeing the guild in shambles again) I leave this guild alone for five minutes and somehow somebody has set something on fire.
(Big Brother type tone) Strength isn't about looking tough. It's about making sure nobody gets the chance to hurt the people behind you.
(Laxus' Conviction) If Fairy Tail needs someone strong enough to protect it, then I'll be that person. Whether they like it or not.
Voice Actor
Mirajane is known as Mira to friends and She-Demon to her enemies. Not because of her powers, but she has been known to make photographers and villains cry.
Vocals: Female, Non-Binary (Med-High)
Vocal Tones: Gentle, sweetness, sometimes blunt, ditzy, but also… lower scary voice. Like a tiefling bard with Vicious Mockery.

(Ditzy, can’t understand SHE is the problem) I don't understand why I'm not allowed to visit Sorcery Weekly alone anymore. The last three photographers simply decided to quit.
(Demon Mira, medium register) Don't worry. I'm not angry. I'm actually having a wonderful day. You should probably be more concerned about that

Mirajane’s younger brother, a real “man’s man” and is not afraid to rumble it out with the other members of the guild. Might have an affinity for certain punishments. Slightly autistic tendencies.

Vocal Tone: Blunt, deep tone, only gets deeper with time

(Having a fight amongst the guildmates.) If you are gonna be fighting, make sure you use your whole ass, not half.
(Angry, in battle mode) I'm fine being trash! But I won't let you call my allies trash! As a man, I won't allow it!

Levy is the smartest one in the guild but gets easily undermined by everyone in the guild. Looking over to her not-boyfriend Gajeel, she may be the straight woman but doesn't get heard often enough.
Voice: Female (Medium to High)
Vocal tone: intelligence, warmth, wit, romantic at times

(Apologizing for her not-boyfriends actions) Gajeel can be loud, stubborn, and completely ridiculous. Fortunately, I happen to like all three.
(Somewhat fearful, but still wanting to be nice) People deserve a second chance. The master taught us that. So let’s give him a shot. Please?

Attitude of someone who has accepted property damage as a career.She is the guild’s contractor. And she makes more money from the guild than she does taking wizarding jobs.

Accents: European, Australian
Vocal Tone: Deadpan exhaustion, dry humor.

Macao is one of the older guild members, on par with Gildarts on how long he’s been around. Doesn’t like to fight, as he does drink, but is willing to break bones for his son and his guild.

(Doesn’t question it anymore) I've watched this guild fall apart and put itself back together more times than I can count. That's what makes it family
(Younger Vocal Tone, 20's) Saving the world, fighting like hell, and partying like hell right afterward. Sounds like a good time.

Wakaba and Macao are best buds, being in the guild for a pretty long time. They’ve seen it all, but this new generation of wizards scare the old smoker.
