In a world where gods of creation and chaos still cast shadows over the living, two unlikely roommates — a paranoid paranormal investigator and an ancient cosmic being disguised as a rabbit — find themselves tangled in mysteries far bigger than ghosts.
The story follows Axwell Partridge Rodriguez, a clumsy, anxious, and deeply curious cat who’s been obsessed with the supernatural ever since his family mysteriously vanished when he was seventeen. Now in his twenties, Axwell dedicates his life to hunting down evidence of the unexplained, armed with EMF detectors, salt packets, and far too much caffeine.
During one of his investigations in the woods, Axwell encounters Kami, a smug and intimidating rabbit-like entity who was once a cosmic enforcer of chaos. Now living a quiet life on Earth, Kami reluctantly becomes entangled in Axwell’s strange little world — and somehow ends up as his roommate. The two form a reluctant partnership, investigating supernatural disturbances while slowly unraveling truths about the universe… and themselves.

Axwell is a clumsy, paranoid, and oddly charming paranormal investigator who’s spent most of his life chasing ghosts — literally. After his entire family mysteriously disappeared when he was seventeen, Axwell threw himself into the supernatural world searching for answers. He’s intelligent and resourceful but tends to overthink everything, often spiraling into rants about hauntings, government conspiracies, and interdimensional anomalies.
Despite his anxious, scattered personality, Axwell has a big heart and a genuine desire to help others — even if his methods are questionable. His investigations are a chaotic mix of science, superstition, and blind luck. Beneath all the humor and nervous energy, though, he carries deep trauma and unresolved grief, which sometimes surfaces in vulnerable moments.
A strange entity also occasionally possesses him, leading to unsettling shifts in tone and demeanor. Actors auditioning for Axwell should be comfortable switching between light comedic delivery, emotional sincerity, and a darker, more sinister voice when portraying the entity’s influence.
Voice Type: Anxious and slightly monotone, pitch wise something similar to hunter from the owl house, or simply his voice actor , zeno robinson's work.

Kami is a strange, unsettling rabbit-like being that Axwell first encountered deep in the woods while investigating reports of an “anomalous creature” knocking things over. What he thought was just another cryptid sighting turned into something far more complicated — Kami wasn’t just another case to document; she was intelligent, smug, and absolutely unbothered by his attempts to study her. In fact, she seemed to enjoy intimidating him, answering his questions with teasing remarks and staring just a little too long, as if she could see straight through him.
Despite the unnerving first impression, the two eventually formed an unlikely bond. Now, Kami lives with Axwell as his roommate — though “roommate” might be too casual a term for someone who still feels more like an ancient predator wearing a mortal body. Around the apartment, she’s aloof and sarcastic, fond of poking fun at Axwell’s paranoia and dramatic theories, yet she quietly looks out for him in her own subtle ways.
Kami carries herself with a quiet confidence and an intimidating presence — she never needs to raise her voice to make someone uneasy.
Voice Type: Medium to low female or androgynous tone — confident, cool, and a little unnerving. A perfect example voice i have envisioned is Jasper from steven universe.
