EFL Coursebook
Project Overview
UK com Gus is an English learning platform created by South American English teacher Gustavo Lazaro. The method consists of four modules and once it's launched it will help students to achieve their goal of speaking English as a foreign language. We are looking for voice actors to give life to a series of dialogues that are part of our first coursebook. The dialogues are similar to those found in coursebooks such as Interchange Intro (Cambridge University Press) and other coursebooks available in the market. A reference video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAn7SOS6eI4&list=PLrE-TRIPaiR68Q4fbhaeHWSDgM3VmPVlJ

The project consists of a series of dialogues for an English as a foreign language coursebook. The audience will be students of English as a second language. Actors will be required to mirror references such as dialogues from coursebooks such as Interchange Intro (Cambridge University Press) and a sample can be found on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAn7SOS6eI4&list=PLrE-TRIPaiR68Q4fbhaeHWSDgM3VmPVlJ
Pick one of these dialogues to submit your audition. You can read the lines one by one even if they are different characters, we just want to hear your voice.
Dialogue 1 - Samantha and Gracelyn
S: Excuse me, is this seat free? All the others are full.
G: Of course! Hi, I’m Gracelyn, but everyone calls me Grace.
S: Nice to meet you. I’m Samantha. Oh, you’re the new lawyer!
G: Yes, it’s my first day. Are you a lawyer too?
S: I’m an accountant. Good luck on your first day.
G: Thanks.
Dialogue 2 - Mark and TonyHi, Mark. It’s Tony.
Oh, hello. How are you?
I’m good. So, what are you doing this weekend?
Well, I’m meeting some friends tomorrow.
Really? Cool.
Yeah, we’re having a small party to celebrate one of my mate’s new job.
Wow! And what about on Sunday?
I don’t know. What are you doing?
Well, do you know Kingston Park Stadium?
Oh yes.
They’re doing a drive-in cinema there. We’re going to see home alone on Sunday evening. I’m going with my sister. Would you like to come?
OK! Why not?
