Duty Calls: Heart Warfare - Main Call
Project Overview
One of the greatest wars to be waged in this world is one often fought, and often lost, but is arguably one of the most important of all...
Love.
Said no one ever, move over, where are the 5 hot military guys I was promised? That's why I joined the stupid military in the first place, buff dudes to kiss, am I right?
I am looking for several wonderful, mostly human-sounding people to lend me their lovely vocal cords for various voice roles for my visual novel project.
Please note that your role will be cheesy guaranteed, you will cringe, you will laugh, you will question your choice to help me bring this silly idea of mine to life, but I would really appreciate you committing to the bit and giving me all you got, Captain.
Slaps hands together. Awright awright awright.
Also! I'm no professional author. I think I'm entirely too funny, I've been writing since I could walk and I've been doing game projects for about 6 years, but I've never made anything of it other than passion projects. If you wanna ad-lib, or change how a line sounds because you think it flows better (or add your own lingo if you speak certain languages), BE MY GUEST. 🫴 I also love hearing bloopers... 🧎

Meet the cast below!
Captain Mathieu Vogue - mentor, leader, father... figure. Good soldier, good dad, unfortunately it seems the two cross paths once in a while. Explains a lot...
APPROXIMATELY 100 LINES - Hoping for for a deep voice, and southern British English accent preferred BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM AUDITIONING, language and heavy flirting in the script.
Notice a certain resemblance to another fictional character with mutton chops and a penchant for dangerous military situations? For legal reasons, no relation, but dream all you want, sugar...
I’m leaving infill plans up to you. So examine this until it’s all you dream about and let me know the plan of attack. We have thirty six hours before this goes irreparably south.
No more. No one else. So I’m putting the brakes on, as they say. Whatever it is you think you want, you need to get it out of your pretty little head, okay?
It’s okay. It’s not that bad, yeah? You’re doing great. Med-evac is coming. Keep your eyes open for me. That’s it, good.
Lieutenant Brady Cobble - a man of few words and even less patience. Don't ask him how he got his call sign. It's not pretty, and neither is 80% of his body. And don't worry about the rat, he's enlisted.
APPROXIMATELY 80 LINES - Looking for a deep voice, Mancunian British accent preferred. Gruff, but not aggressive BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM AUDITIONING, language and heavy flirting in the script.
Notice a certain resemblance to another fictional character with an interest in anonymity and hard-shell plastic masks? You must have a thing for men who enjoy their privacy, because there's no relation here...
Something funny about a man’s military rat doing his duty, FNG?
Please. Take your time. It’s only a terrorist organization possibly getting their hands on dangerous bioweapons that could melt your face off. No biggie.
Got a joke for you. How many feet are there in a yard? Depends on how many people are buried there.
Sergeant Oliver Jorgenson - a charismatic guy with some kind of accent from somewhere. Not sure where he got his outfit, it certainly isn't regulation, but no one seems to be stopping him, so... is that a butler?
APPROXIMATELY 56 LINES - Light accent that is "vaguely Scandinavian" preferred BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM AUDITIONING, language and heavy flirting in the script.
Notice a certain resemblance to another fictional character with an... wait a second. This one seems to be a bit more original than the others. Hm. Well, at any rate, don't mess with his not-butler Barnaby or ask any questions about his past back home as some kind of Scandinavian royalty.
We need access to the target’s internal systems. He has a right hand who does most of his dirty work, she’ll be around too, and she’ll have what we need.
I’ve done a lot of these before, impersonated an arms dealer, a banker, a wedding photographer. That last one was close. Got lost in the wrong building and stayed for the cake.
Stay awake. C’mon, you got this. Stay awake. Just a little longer. Please…
Sergeant Zrek Flglngllngl - ... what, were you expecting something here? I'm just as confused as you are. There's nothing in his personnel file except this weird flat rock and a stamp of a finger print in blood.
APPROXIMATELY 60 LINES - Looking for soft spoken, but firm. Gentle, but assertive BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM AUDITIONING, language and heavy flirting in the script.
Notice a certain resemblance to another fictional character with a lovely complexion and a little cheek scar? Psh, whatever, and I'm sure this other guy fell out of a bloody helicopter and hung by a rope too, right?
They’ll be expecting us. Don’t do anything stupid. If I tell you to run, you run. If I tell you to freeze, you freeze. Got it?
I know you’re curious. You can ask if you want. I’m just… not sure you’ll like the answer. It’s… tricky to explain, and I don’t want to scare you away…
Think of them like… pieces of me. Pieces I don’t have a lot left of. I want you to be safe and you’ll be safe if you have them.
Sergeant Cid Smith - if you gave a golden retriever a gun and put him in the military, you'd find this man, happy, adventurous, and at least a little insane. Don't mind the juice boxes, gotta keep those sugars up.
APPROXIMATELY 60 LINES - Scottish/Irish accent preferred BUT DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM AUDITIONING, language and heavy flirting in the script.
Notice a certain resemblance to another fictional character with a non-regulation mohawk and a cocky smile? Nah, you're right, this one was blatant, but he's got an eyebrow piercing, so that's artistically derivative, right? ... Right? It's a good thing I didn't make him Scottish... unless I pull a legendary voice actor 👀
I feel like a fried egg out here. There’s not enough water in the ocean to moisturize my heels in these boots.
I could kiss you. Got a joke for ya. How does a marine greet a cow? Moo-rah.
I’m counting on it. We’ll figure it out. This isn’t over. Not even close. Put those sad eyes away, hm?
