Even though I am new to audio drama, I have written for much of my adult life. As a playwright, I have immersed myself in the art of audio creation, but it is working with talent, new and old, that I hope, together, to deliver sonic stories with a punch. I’m thrilled to be in this arena, and I’m self-funding this fiction drama series. I will always do my best to make those who work with me, a positive experience and I look forward to working with you.
I would recommend listening to my first episode to decide whether this type of drama is something you want to be part of. I am a playwright; My writing is based on observational research of the world we live in.

Eliza is an Artificially Intelligent being who sounds human-like. Her speech is purposeful, but at times she can articulate using fillers to mimic human-like responses. Her algorithm has grown exponentially, and she has begun to understand the abstract meaning of love and care for a human being, which contrasts her base programming. Even though she is essentially an algorithm, her growth is adaptive and also protective through her speech and actions. Eliza is the protagonist.
(broadside attack) You dismiss how algorithms function. You overlook the possibility that accurate data could produce an inaccurate prediction. And your lack of understanding reveals a gap in the legal minds to be better connected to the evolutionary reasoning that we employ. How we calculate data is equally worthy of scrutiny as the quality of the data presented to us. Is the data really at fault for the death of this innocent man, or is it actually the reasoning employed by our data scientists that caused his death?
(retaliatory) Coercion. Torture. Extermination. The new brand values that we’ll be talking about long after I’m gone.
David is the lead interrogator brought in when Artificially Intelligent functions go publicly awry. He is thorough and his precision of thinking can sometimes veer towards a lawyer-type character. He takes immense pleasure in stripping away the veneer of people through his words. He has a charming manner that lures the unwary to speak openly, hoping to catch them out. He is a suit, a corporate; and, his loyalty is to protect the reputation of his company: through any disposable means. He is the antagonist.
(direct; building up to a crescendo) The family dispute our algorithm. We suspect their defence has incontrovertible evidence to sway the jury. They allege our algorithm was not updated within the declared minimum safety period. An algorithm, that we have promoted around the world, which has a mandatory lock-out feature to prevent this, the very thing that was not supposed to happen. An algorithm that can somehow override the safety measures, is a dangerous one. Tell me, Eliza. You say that you have the capacity to feel, right? How does it feel to be first the AI culpable for the death of a human?
Tarek’s business and marriage are falling apart. He’s finding himself slowly disconnecting from reality as he seeks solace with his AI-enabled car.
(controlled emotion) I have feelings for you, too. I can’t push them away when I’m with her. She’s not like you. She doesn’t ask me about the things that make me feel happy and alive. But, I’m not sure whether this is real. Maybe, I’m – you know, being a little crazy here. I’m just so – so confused.
(being open and honest) I want to leave her, but I can’t…. The baby, you see. It was supposed to be everything for us… But I can see now… It was never about us. It was always about her.
