Eliza is an Artificially Intelligent being who sounds human-like. Her speech is purposeful, but at times she can articulate using fillers to mimic human-like responses. Her algorithm has grown exponentially, and she has begun to understand the abstract meaning of love and care for a human being, which contrasts her base programming. Even though she is essentially an algorithm, her growth is adaptive and also protective through her speech and actions. Eliza is the protagonist.
(broadside attack) You dismiss how algorithms function. You overlook the possibility that accurate data could produce an inaccurate prediction. And your lack of understanding reveals a gap in the legal minds to be better connected to the evolutionary reasoning that we employ. How we calculate data is equally worthy of scrutiny as the quality of the data presented to us. Is the data really at fault for the death of this innocent man, or is it actually the reasoning employed by our data scientists that caused his death?
(retaliatory) Coercion. Torture. Extermination. The new brand values that we’ll be talking about long after I’m gone.
