Dissidia Opera Omnia Story Dub Chapter 2 (Opera's Voices) (MOG and SAZH Recats!)

Project Overview

Greetings once again G A M E R S! I am currently on the lookout for a group of voice actors to help me dub cutscenes from the mobile game Dissidia Opera Omnia! Currently, I am looking to dub the second chapter of the game first, excluding the tutorial or battle dialogue!
For now, I am focusing on dubbing the second chapter, but rest assured there will most likely be another casting call with more characters depending on what the chapter's cutscenes call for! I currently have all the footage I need, the script typed out as well as all the sound effects! I am editing the full video currently and will most likely be done before the end of this casting call! 

The project will be uploaded to my YouTube channel as well as shorter versions on my other social media platforms, such as Twitter!

The footage I will be using for this project is from a YouTuber named gocalibergaming! I have already asked permission to use his footage, thus there will be a small watermark on the top-right corner with their name! Since many of these roles do have pre-existing canonical voices, I will not be asking for perfect impressions of other actors, but instead, you're own spin on the character! As long as the voice fits, please consider auditioning with it! Of course, if you do want to audition with an impression of the original actor, you're more than welcome to!

Do keep in mind, that no roles will be cast before the deadline, so no pressure y'all!

Of course, there are rules and requirements for this project. (Not listed in order of importance.)

  1. 1. Have a decent audio setup. At Least USB with little to no background noise.

  2. 2. Please stay committed! Since this is a large crossover game, many characters re-appear in later cutscenes!!

  3. 3. Not exactly required, but it would help if you did have some knowledge of the Final Fantasy franchise as well as the mobile game!

  4. 4. Submit your audio files in either a .wav or .mp3 format.

  5. 5. Again, I'm not asking for perfect impressions of these character's voice actors, but please try to fit the character! 

  6. 6. Have a discord. All communication will be through there! 

  7. 7. Do NOT slate your auditions OR do more than 3 takes per line.

  • MORE MOG AUDITIONS NEEDED!! (Deadline moved back again)

    Hey y'all! Just wanted to post another update! I've been listening to all the auditions and they're all really great! I have a good idea of who to cast for which roles! However, there is an extreme lack of auditions for Mog. Since Mog is an important character, we're going to need more auditions for them in order to pick out a fitting actor.     Yo, everyone! Thank you all so far for the auditions so far! Sadly, (or thankfully depending on how you see this) I have to extend the deadline a little! Been going through a few personal issues which has negatively affected my progress on the video! As well as I wanted to get more auditions since we haven't received too many for certain roles. The servant to the Goddess Materia! His main function throughout the story is to more or less to be to everyone how his world works, explaining their missions, and recruiting other characters to join his quest in trying to tame the chaos that's happening around his world.

His personality is very bubbly and supportive, often being used as comedic relief at times as well as being the mascot/leader of the entire story. He's considered to be a "tutorial" character, such as Morgana from Persona 5 or Toriel from Undertale, helping characters understand his world.

He has a very dominant role in the early chapters of the game, but as more characters start to join the party, he starts to get phased out little by little. He has the biggest workload out of anyone in this casting call, so be prepared for that!

Voice: High. Bubbly, cheery, and overall very cutesy! You don't have to sound like the old VA! You are more than welcome to put your own spin on it!

  • "You can count on me, kupo! Together we will eradicate the threat and bring whoever is responsible for this madness to justice!" (Cheery, assuring Materia)


  • "To think that you were able to take on such fearsome beasts and live to tell the tale... You're incredible, kupo!" (Impressed, astonished)


  • "Why won't anyone listen to me, kupo?" (Sad, but in a comedic way)

"Sazh has a youthful, carefree, and lively personality. Sazh is a goodhearted man whose relationship with his son, Dajh, serves as his drive. He is silly at times, mostly when he is in near-death situations, but Sazh has a strong will of justice and is always willing to help his teammates. In contrast to the rest of the party, Sazh is more level-headed and mature, often serving as the voice of reason and interjects his opinion when someone is on the verge of letting their emotions get the best of them. "Zidane is a bit of a skirt-chaser. Despite accusations that all he ever thinks about is girls, Zidane can be serious when the situation calls for it. He advises the party on several aspects of life and is overall laid-back and casual in his actions and speech. Though he is confident in his abilities, Zidane harbors insecurities about his past and concealed loneliness. While usually cheerful, Zidane sometimes gets depressed, lonely, and questions why he should exist. Though he values friendship, he tries to keep his problems to himself and fight them alone. Zidane develops feelings for Garnet and acts like an older brother to Vivi. Towards other party members, even Steiner and Amarant who dislike him, Zidane is generally friendly." -Final Fantasy Wiki


Voice: Mid to mid-high. He should overall have a very colorful emotional range since he puts on a cheerful front that sometimes breaks down to show his true depressed self. He should be able to sound flirty, cheery, but still, be able to be taken seriously at times.

  • "You like plays, don't you? You ought to come watch me perform sometime. I'm pretty talented! I even got the princess to cry once, and trust me, she's practically made of ice." (Flirty, trying to impress a girl)

"Yda is laid-back and has no problem speaking whatever is on her mind in any situation, more often than not speaking inappropriate things—and being scolded by others right after. She has no qualms asking others directly about any subject, instead of trying more subtle means. She is also not very knowledgeable, often needing others to explain certain things to her. Despite all this, she does act more seriously upon a crisis, as well as being optimistic. She is an apt fighter, but rarely gets into fights needlessly." - Final Fantasy Wiki


Voice: Medium to medium-high. Upbeat, optimistic, but still with a sense of refinement that isn't overwhelming. She is often used as comedic relief in scenes. She does canonically have an accent, but as I said, I'd like some original spins on the character's voices as well! (I personally found her voice really annoying to listen to, just to be frank)

  • "I would have loved to test my own skill at combat against yours. Perhaps another time." (Meeting someone for the first time, mildly dissapointed)

  • "Hyah! Never fear! I've come to save— Aw, don't tell me the fun is already over." (Heroic at first, but disappointed she isn't needed at the end)

  • “I choose to continue my family's fight! I want this country to be the country that my father and sister always wanted it to be!”

Voice: Medium. Naive, oblivious, cheerful, hopeful. I'll be blunt, he needs to sound somewhat punchable, but not to the point of annoyance.

  • "Hey! That your airship? Heh-heh, I know a good airship when I see one1 So it's yours, huh?" (Excited, curious)

  • "Hating the Empire, getting revenge... It's all I ever thought about. But I never did anything about it. I mean, I realized there was nothing I could do. It made me feel hollow, alone..." (Sad, begrudgingly admitting defeat)

  • "You know what? I'm through with it - I'm through running. I'm ready to find my purpose. To find some answers, some reasons." (Determined, triumphant self-realization)
