Project Overview
Welcome to another BBVoices casting call! Today, I'm proud to present the audition for Season 1 of LoneSkytower's original webcomic series, Dimensional Life!
"Dimensional Life" is a dark fantasy action series set in the Descent—a realm beyond the abyss, where all souls eventually fall. It is a place where existence itself is twisted, where the laws of the living world no longer apply, and where nothing ever escapes.
Until now.
A soul made of light has accidentally fallen into these depths—an impossibility in a world meant to consume and corrupt. Lost and searching for a way home, Light is not here to change fate, nor to fight some grand battle of good versus evil. He only wants to leave. But in his desperate attempt to traverse the Descent, his very presence disrupts something ancient and absolute. The world shifts, creatures stir, and those who have long accepted their fate begin to question if escape is truly beyond them.
With the cryptic witch Snags and the opportunistic trickster Guilt at his side, Light faces monstrosities beyond comprehension, haunted souls bound by unseen forces, and rulers who will not allow him to leave unchallenged. Because if he makes it out, what does that mean for those who have never had the chance?
The forces of light and dark may take center stage, but between them lies something deeper—a chaos that challenges fate, identity, and the choice to remain yourself in a world that tries to take that away.
Is this just another battle between good and evil? No. This is a story about defiance. About resilience. About what it truly means to exist when the world demands you disappear.

Alright Talent, listen up!
My name is Blake, and I'll be your casting director for this project. I am looking for talented professionals that meet the hardware criteria to ensure quality control is maintained for this series. Additionally, an attractive trait to us will be flexibility. The script sometimes adjusts due to various reasons, including but not limited to timing, flow, or budget allocation. Someone that remains available throughout the creation process for additional lines [of which will be properly compensated if not included in the flat rate] is a requirement.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:
-XLR Microphone w/ interface
-Noise discipline (floor of -50db or less, minimal room reverb, no computer fans, etc...)
-Headphones
-A moderately stable internet connection (for live recording)
AUDITION FORMAT:
-In your normal speaking voice, slate "your name" and "role auditioning for".
-Lines 1, 2, and 3.
-Lines 1, 2, and 3 again but with something different. (Different voice, dialect, mannerisms, or even a line change. Show off creativity!)
-Provide 2 laughs that fit the character. It can be under whatever emotion you'd like.
-Submit your audition in an appropriate format, and RAW. No limiter, compressor, EQ, or "De-essing" plugins. We are requesting ALL auditions to be submitted RAW.
-When you post the submission, include 1 thing about yourself in the comments! :)
Lastly, while professionalism is a trait that the creator and I value highly, this is still an indie project ran by a very limited number of personnel. This will be a pay as you go project over the course of a year or two; terms to protect your payment and commitment are discussed and finalized after the selection process is complete.

*Direction during recording will be mandatory
**"24-hours" is a rough estimate of the project for a lead role. The more a role pays, the more episodes it appears in, thus more lines, so background characters may only work 2-4 hours.
***Studio time may be significantly less or more than the above depending on talent's ability to take direction.

Light is a gentle, naïve soul from a peaceful realm, thrust into a cruel world where survival demands violence. Despite fear and hardship, he clings to kindness, refusing to harden his heart even when forced to fight. His voice should carry warmth and innocence, yet hint at the strain of a boy struggling to keep hope alive in a place determined to break him.

[Denial, slight comedic tone, oblivious. This line follows three painfully obvious signs after Light says: If this were true, there’d be a sign.] “Ha ha ha. Very funny. It’s just a coincidence. I just hit my head too hard and now I’m seeing things. I’m probably just having a bad dream.”
[Surprise, strained, tense. Light is suddenly paralyzed by an unforeseen magical attack.] “What’s happening?! I can’t move!”
[Desperate, quick, someone walks away with no interest in his comments; he needs to say everything quickly and concise.] “No! It’s not that. Just wait… please! I’m sorry for waking you. I’m not here to hurt anyone. I’m just lost. I just wanna go home.”
