Project Overview

Greetings Friends, I will be hosting a fandub of the first chapter of the Devil Survivor Manga. If this goes smoothly, it may proceed into a series.

This is the Manga Dub of the DS/3DS
game Devil Survivor, a supernatural, tactical JRPG from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise (Where the Persona series branched off of!). You can read more about the series here (FYI: there's spoilers).


Series Sypnosis

Devil Survivor is set in modern-day Tokyo. One day, the protagonist (Kazuya), a 17 year-old student, finds that he and his two friends, Atsuro Kihara, a computer hacker, and Yuzu Tanikawa, a spirited fighter, have been given modified electronic devices called COMPs by his older cousin Naoya. After a thorough investigation of the COMPs received from Naoya, Atsuro accidentally activates a program that summons demons. Soon after, the city of Tokyo goes into a massive blackout and subsequent lockdown, ordered by the government. The citizens are trapped with no escape as demons begin attacking the city.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 16. To adhere to the source material's age rating.
  • Clear microphone. If you're auditioning without your "recording mic" (I know I do!) make sure to make note of that in your audition!
  • NO Discord is required, we will do everything on Casting Call :)

I don't expect you to know the series and there's no voice requirements/references! Just do your best out there!

    It took a very long time, my short list consisted of 50% of the audition so it was NOT short at all! Everyone did an amazing job and it was extremely difficult for me to cast you! (Especially all the Atsuros, you guys all drove me to the brink of insanity trying to cast one (1) of you)

    If this Manga Dub goes well I may consider dubbing the full first volume, so keep an eye in the future for that!

  • Oh my god I forgot the descriptions

Atsuro is Kazuya's best friend and is the type of guy who would crack a joke if he can help it. However, he knows to tone it down in a serious situation and cares for his friends first, and foremost. He is the "brains/hackerman" of the group and overall a very cool guy.
