Demon Slayer Abridged Episode 2
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello, I am looking to make a well-made Demon Slayer Abridged. I want people to see this online and mistake it for the dub. I want people to debate whether the abridge is better or worse than the original. With that, I want to be able to work with those aspiring to be voice actors and give them an opportunity to put their voice out there and for it to be something they are proud of.
I ask for professionalism from any who would like to be involved. I do ask that if you audition and are cast that you watch the anime if you haven't already.
PAYMENT
This will be a paid gig even though it won't be much if the first episode takes off or blows up bigger paychecks could be in store in the future. Payment will be handled half upfront and the other half after recording lines. Please note I say recording lines. There may be more recording to be done in terms of character noises but you will always be paid after lines are recorded and no later.
COMMITMENT
This is a long-term commitment to this project I won't ask for too much of your time simply the days needed for readthroughs, recording lines, and recording character sounds. But I do ask when we do another episode to work with me in scheduling and continuing to voice the same character. There may be times when I ask you to voice minor characters and extras. You will be compensated accordingly. You also get the first try at auditioning for new roles once cast to the project even if cast as a minor character.
MISC
- Discord is currently a requirement as it is the easiest way to have meetings and also direct you when recording lines.
- I would prefer you have somewhat professional sounding equipment, it's not a deal-breaker if you don't have a good mic as if your audition is good enough I will send you a better one. But it is still preferred to have a clear-sounding mic.

Zenitsu is someone whose defining trait is fear. He is constantly scared. He cries and screams a lot. His normal voice must be shaky and nearly unhinged. For reference think of Armin from TFS Attack on Titan abridged. BUT when Zenitsu passes out he becomes an absolute chad. He should sound hot. Voice doesn't have to be deep but having a deep voice helps. He needs to talk with charm and swagger.

[He is comforting his daughter then turns his attention to Tanjiro]

[Talking to his wife. He should sound very threatening while still talking as a father.]
I’m not quite sure who he is dear. Whoever he is, I’m sure he’s made a mistake.
[ He tells this monologue as his finger slowly penetrates the skull of a woman in an alleyway. Taking out his anger due to Tanjiro trying to attack him in public.]
Tell me again, what was it he said? Pale? Sickly? Do I appear to match either of those descriptions? I find them less than apt. Perhaps it was they who were sick. Perhaps it’s you who is sick.

The hand demon is a wise old demon full of just as much hatred as he is wisdom. He believes he was wronged by Sakonji and takes out that anger on the students he sends. Although he is still a demon and has an urge to kill, the only thing he wants more than a meal is to be put out of his misery.
[Starving, and resentful towards Tanjiro. Excited to finally get another meal.]
Oh, you’re one of those little foxes, aren’t you? It’s certainly been some time since any of Sakonji’s cubs wandered onto my dinner plate.
[He is talking about Urokodaki. He HATES him with every bone in his body.]
I know he’s a decrepit old bastard who’s too elderly to fight. I know forty-seven years ago, he imprisoned me in this dismal forest.
[He is about to kill Tanjiro, he is not happy about it and in fact sad for Tanjiro.]
Seems each student you send me gets weaker and weaker. Go to sleep, little fox. Only one of us needs to suffer.
