DeltaRune Dub - Episode 1 (LANCER VA NEEDED)

Project Overview

(ALL CHARACTERS WERE CAST BUT LANCER NEEDS TO BE RECAST, ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND SUCH ARE STILL AS FOLLOWS.)

Hello all! I'm very excited to announce that I'm doing a dub of the entirety of chapter 1 for DeltaRune. But of course I need the help of skilled voice actors to make this project kick some serious ass!

So to give a little more detail, I plan to chop the dub up into 20 minute episodes (or longer if need be for story reasons), and I plan to hold auditions for characters needed per episode as well, so of course, this is the audition for episode 1, and any characters you are cast as will be your character for the entire series. ALSO THIS PROJECT IS PAID!!

Finally, before auditioning, I have some guidelines I'd appreciate people to follow!

1. Please have a high quality sounding mic with minimal to no background noise. XLR microphones are definitely favorable, but USB microphones can work too with the right setup.

2. I don't know if it will be required for every character, but it would still help for you to be comfortable with being live directed by me in a discord channel.

3. It would help to have at least played DeltaRune or know some stuff about it to help give you context to the story and how the characters should act.

4. And finally, have a paypal. I will be paying all voice actors per episode for their work.

    And with that the auditions for episode 1 have come to a close! I got WAY more auditions then I thought I'd get and everybody was EXTREMELY talented, but I found the exact voices I was looking for and I'm incredibly happy with who got cast. And to everyone who's sad about not getting cast, don't worry! There will be more auditions for later episodes coming soon, so there will be more opportunities. A monster who goes to the same school as Kris. She's known for being violent and a troublemaker.

She's a delinquent and can be very sinister sounding at moments, but she also has her moments of sincerity and nervousness, and by the end of the chapter, ends up coming around to being kind and appreciative of the friends she makes.

The voice I imagine for Susie is medium low to low, sounding pretty much tom boyish and mean. I'm also up to different interpretations if you think you have a good one!  

  • … Kris. … Didn’t see you there. (Turns away from Kris) … hey. You didn’t see anything just now, did you? (No longer smirking) Hmmm… … you can’t even say?

  • Why don’t I just get expelled for some REAL carnage? Kris… How do you feel… (Reveals teeth and intensely sinister look) ...about losing your face?

  • H-hey! B… back off! Come any closer and I’ll…!! (Realizes it’s just Kris) … K… Kris!? Phew… … Hey, don’t scare me like that, dumbass! (Goes back to being smug) Unless you WANT to get clocked in the face, heh.

Toriel is a kind monster who is the mother of Kris, the protagonist of the story.

She's very motherly and protective of Kris. She also worries a lot about her son Asriel and whatever sort of high jinks Kris finds themselves in.

I imagine her voice to be medium to medium low, having an intelligent and warm motherly tone. I'm also up to any interpretation you think suits her as well!

  • Kris! Kris, if you do not wake up, we will be late for school! I will wait for you outside, alright?



  • Kris… It is a beautiful day today, is it not? I hope it stays this way when Asriel visits next week. But I wonder… After the excitement of University… Will he still enjoy the thrill of coming home to this little town…?

A blue anthropomorphic bird. The smartest guy in class.

He's so smug that one of his face portraits goes so off model, it's basically a scribble. Total smart ass.

Very sweet girl who seems to care for the people she likes, and is kind to Kris.

An armless, young reptile monster who attends the same class as Kris.

Monster kids gender is ambiguous due to their being no bodily feature that would determine so. They're also insensitive without meaning to be and can sound real concerned at times.

I imagine their voice being medium to medium high, sounding upbeat and teen like.

Lancer is very childish and generally immature in his behavior and speech. He delivers his lines with a near-constant smile on his face. He is easily preoccupied with childish games and pursuits, and likes hiding things and irritating people. He generally assumes that the party naively follows instructions on signs he writes. He has a poor sense of direction and gets lost in mazes quite easily. He can be easily intimidated by strong enemies, although he remains calm and jovial while doing so.

The voice I imagine for Lancer is medium high to high, sounding very childish and "trying too hard to be evil." If you have any different interpretations that you think sound good then please let me hear them! 

  • Ho ho ho! The heroes are already running away… And they didn’t even know I was here. My dad’s gonna make me Son of the Month!

  • Wait! Wait a second! My bike’s running out of fuel…! Alright, you punk-a-roos! You had the luck of the draw this time, but… Next time, the losers will be YOU!!! Hahaha!!! Bye, losers!! I gotta get home before dinner!!!
