Dealing With Deities
Project Overview
Dealing with Deities follows the twelve deities of Zjoque as their increasingly dysfunctional rule over the world leads to one divine impasse after another. After witnessing yet another ridiculous argument between the gods, someone gets the bright idea to start recording everything, initially just to have something to laugh at later.
As the recordings pile up, what begins as petty arguments, divine disasters, and embarrassing moments slowly reveals complicated relationships, family tensions, hidden secrets, and the strange chaos surrounding Zjoque's gods and the mortals connected to them.
What starts as a joke gradually becomes an unexpected record of the dysfunctional lives of the beings ruling Zjoque.
Oliver Pax
Age: Immortal
Deity of: Chaos
Species: Kikiru
Relations: Vessel of a chaos deity
Voice Claim: Ekko from Arcane
PRIORITIZING BLACK OR POC VAs FOR THIS ROLEOliver is the vessel of chaos, though he would probably prefer that nobody reminded him of it.
He hates everyone, including the very force he carries within himself, and has little interest in playing nice with anyone. After seeing the worst sides of people for far too long, Oliver has become deeply cynical about humanity and the world around him. He believes, at least internally, that nobody truly deserves peace, because he's seen firsthand how easily people can hurt, betray, and destroy one another.
Beneath his hostility is someone who has spent an eternity observing the ugliness in others and struggling with what that has made him believe about himself and everyone else. For Oliver, chaos isn't something exciting or liberating. It's something he's forced to live with, and he resents it just as much as he resents everyone else.
(Dry, unimpressed) “Wow. You managed to make this even worse. That's actually impressive.”
(Sarcastic, amused) “Sure, yeah. Let's trust the person who clearly has no idea what they're doing. What could possibly go wrong?”
(Flat, irritated) “Can you two just shut up? I don't care who's right. I just want five minutes without listening to either of you.”
I am accepting multiple.
DWD has an otherworldly sound, and that translates into the music as well. Some have more folk-adjacent themes, meanwhile others have more rock-adjacent themes.
When auditioning, please include ambient works that feel space like, alien, and otherworldly. But all genres are accepted.
*Say something you think would fit*
DWD is set on a planet far past the earth’s eye. As a result, the characters look different. Think tieflings, fairsies, and human looking characters. DWD does get violent at times, so expect a bit of blood. That does not mean there will be gore.
*Say something you think would fit*
You can’t do a project without a script! That’s where you come in. To write for this fantasy series, please show previous examples of your work. You can also write one page about any of the DWD characters.

Miono Tizoku
Age: Immortal
Deity of: Fate
Species: Kikiru
Relations: Daughter of Otazar
Voice Claim: Jane Doe from Ride the Cyclone
Miono is the goddess of fate, overseeing the paths and possibilities that shape the lives of those within Zjoque. She is calm, composed, and deeply familiar with the consequences of the gods' actions. Unfortunately, that knowledge also means she's often one of the first people to realize when something is about to go horribly wrong. Like her father, Miono is kind at heart, but after an eternity of watching everyone make the same questionable decisions, she's developed a profound sense of exhaustion with the people around her.
Fun fact: Her designs differ from when she’s with her mortal son and husband VS when she is with other deities.
(Exasperated, trying to stay patient) “I've already told you how this ends. Three times, actually. So if you insist on doing this, don't come crying to me when everything falls apart.”
(Soft, almost wistful) “Fate isn't about knowing exactly what will happen. It's about knowing there are countless paths ahead of you, and wondering which one you'll choose.”
(Quietly horrified) “That isn't what I saw... I've seen every possible outcome. Every single one. And you weren't supposed to be there.”
