Deadman | DC Minecraft Machinima
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone! My name is Silverx and I'm here with my casting call for Deadman, the first machinima in our DC Machinima Universe's "Justice League: Dark" storyline.
I am one of many creators from a channel called Slightly Insulting with 6,334 subscribers. We specialize in making Minecraft machinimas to adapt our stories and bring everyone entertainment.
We're looking for several talented voice actors to portray their characters. Some characters may reappear in future films.
REQUIREMENTS
1) Clean recording quality! No audible pops, static, background noise, or room echo!
2) Ability to perform serious, cinematic, and potentially emotional acting.
3) Interest in the project and characters not just in this film but the franchise in a whole.
4) Ability to yell if character requires it and still retain high quality.
5) Comfortable cursing
6) Discord and willing to share email to keep in contact

DEADMAN UPDATE 11/6/2021
First of all, I want to take the time to thank everyone who has auditioned so far! So far, I'm very happy to see so many people audition for these roles! Though, I feel like pushing back the deadline five more days would help bring in more voices to choose from when casting. Because of this, I've also updated Boston Brand's description with a link to an example of the voice I'm looking for. I'm hoping this update will bring us one step closer to finding the lead role for our film. If you don't feel as confident about your audition with this new update, then feel free to reaudition! I look forward to reviewing all auditions on November 13th! Thank you!

The trapeze artist of Hill's Circus and boyfriend of Lorna Hill. He's the cash cow of the circus which means everyone pays to see him and no one else. He's a jerk to the people around him for their protection (and his own as well), but after dying to a mysterious killer, he's brought back with a purpose.
Personality: Disagreeable, Confident, Cocky, Daring, Selfish
Voice: Mid-to-high pitched w/ a Boston accent

The owner of Hill's Circus and Boston Brand's girlfriend. She often takes the brunt of Boston's personality and so in their conversations, she can sound very reserved. She has a very important role in the mystery involved in the murder and the overall story.
Personality: Reserved, Careful, Responsible, Cold
Voice: Low-to-mid pitch, any accent but North American preferred
(depressed) Dad would be upset at how much the circus has changed and... how much you have changed.
(annoyed) You know you don't fool anyone with your tough guy act?
(cold) Sometimes I wondered which mask you wore at night, but... now I know.

DC's Hindu goddess of the scale of balance and karma in the universe. She has an obsessive sense of justice and uses wandering spirits to influence the world in her name, since she isn't as powerful as she once was. She guides Boston Brand through death for him to gain redemption.
Personality: Calm, Gentle, All-Knowing
Voice: Mid-to-low pitched w/ an Indian-British accent is preferable, but any accent can be considered.

You've lived a rather selfish existence without a true chance at redemption. Therefore, your spirit is forced to walk on Earth forever alone.

Tiny is the strong man of Hill's Circus and friend of Boston Brand. Ironically, he's a big softie compared to his occupation and massive size. He gets possessed and plays a moderate role in the story.

Voice: Moderately deep w/ a Russian accent, speaks slow
How could they take you from us? You were a rat Mr. Brand, but you were a good rat! It's- It's so cruel! (sobs)
I don't know what to believe anymore... It's so unfair.

The ringmaster of Hill's Circus, who Boston thinks of as a rat. On stage, he seems like a nice guy, but behind the scenes, he does have the "rat" personality that Boston mentioned.
Personality: Charismatic (on stage), Rude, Annoying, Crafty, Shifty
Voice: Mid-to-high pitched w/ a British accent, but any accent can be accepted
(with excitement) And now, ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment you've all been waiting for!
Police said witnesses saw him wearing a metal hook for a hand. Can you believe that?
(anxious) Who knows? Just get rid of it, or it's coming out of both of our paychecks!

Vagisha is the fortune teller at Hill's Circus and worshipper of Rama Kushna. She is one of the few people at the circus that Boston treats kindly and she believes that Rama Kushna has something planned for Boston in the near future.

Voice: Low-to-mid pitched, should sound wise and spiritual
(soft chuckles) You're a kind man, Mr. Brand.
--And ruin your career? No, Rama Kushna has much bigger plans for you.

(intimidating) Listen now... (rests hand on his gun) I'm watching this show very closely, and if I say she's not welcomed here, then--.
