This will be a short mystery/horror/romance game telling the tragic story of a pair of characters whose wish went wrong. It will serve as a sort of backstory for two characters who I hope to add as love interests at some point to one of my main projects, Darling Duality (itch.io/darling-duality-winter-wish). While it will be related to the DD universe, this game will also be playable as a standalone short, with no prior knowledge of DD required.

Because this is for a jam and the deadline will be fairly tight, I'm putting out this casting call now to try and find voices for characters before the jam begins, so please excuse the lack of sprite images, as I cannot create those until the jam starts in September. You will need to be available to record lines in September and submit them no later than the end of Saturday 24th September in order to give me enough time to cut, edit, and add them to the game before the submission deadline is due. Unfortunately, as this is for a jam and no one is paying me, I will not be able to pay anyone for their work on this project. However, in the event of the project winning a prize, we can all discuss how to handle that as a team.
Please note that the characters in this game are supposed to be German, and while most of the spoken lines will be in English, there will be a few lines in German as well. For this reason, voice actors who are either native German speakers, or who speak a little German as a second language would be ideal. However, this is not 100% necessary. The main thing is that the German lines are pronounced correctly. (I personally am only just beginning to learn German myself, so German-speaking VAs would also help in correcting anything I may get wrong!)
Also, whoever is cast as both Dämmerung and Morgenröte will be first choice for reprising the role (as paid work) whenever these characters are eventually added to my main project.
