[Introduction + About Project]
Hey there! Rake here, back with yet another project! Only, it isn't mine. The director, Telariel, asked me to make a CCC for his project, and here we are! The Heart of Grief is an upcoming Visual Novel inspired by the aspect of Danganronpa. This project will include a variety of original characters and unique storyline. Meaning that common Danganronpa topics such as Junko Enoshima, Hope's Peak Academy, Monokuma and so on will not be present.

The Heart of Grief is a Danganronpa-inspired game that uses the premise of a killing game to tell an original story. The cast includes 18 original characters, with two new hosts and several side characters making appearances as they struggle to navigate the ruins of an abandoned research facility.

The deadline is currently set on March 4th, but will be extended if needed! Submissions after the deadline will not be considered.

[Requirements + Rules]
-To audition, you must be 13+.
-Must have discord! Auditions without a discord handle will not be considered.
-Do not discourage other auditioners.
-Have fun with your audition, and don’t be afraid to ask us any questions!

    Hello everyone! I appreciate your enthusiasm for this project. A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR 100 SUBMISSIONS!! The head director of this project has decided to make a separate CCC with the whole cast in the future since CCC has a 2 month time limit where projects can be listed.  Quiet by nature, Nobu tends to keep his own conversation to a minimum. He listens to the orders of others, referring to everyone using titles to highlight their status in superiority to him. Despite how closed off he can be, he's a kindhearted soul who extends a helping hand to anyone in need of one.

SHE/HE/THEY/LOVE

With both bark and bite, Jupiter Morgan is a name that is feared amongst high school debate tournaments. She and her debate partner, Mercury, make a powerful planetary duo. An expert at thinking on the fly with a sharp tongue to boot, he has a tongue sharper than any weapon. Love tends to be abrasive and rude, especially in situations of high stress.

THEY/THEM

Jupiter's other half, Mercury is great at spinning tales on the fly. They're far more coolheaded than their partner, but still occasionally need to be held back. They're pretty funny when you get to know them, and they enjoy cracking dumb jokes with people they trust. They've got tough walls to break down, though.

A man with his head in the clouds, Callisto is always trying to generate content for his radio show! He has a relatively easy-going and positive outlook, and is easily excitable when it comes to people/events he'd like to feature on his show.

Eccentric, for starters. Dr. Klausen is a man with a lot of ideas and little regard for their effects on those around him. He's prone to making spontaneous decisions and acting irrationally, but his methods still have a scientific meticulousness to them. His motives for trapping the participants within the game are currently unknown.

 THEY/IT

With eyes that blink just a tad bit too infrequently and discolored bandages that cover a large majority of its body, it's difficult not to be offput by Five's appearance in any situation. They're often quiet and uninvolved in the life of the participants, choosing not to speak unless spoken to due to tender scars on their jaw and throat. Five follows Dr. Klausen like a loyal dog, and its role within the game is to act as his assistant and protector.
